Fri Jan 31 201420:15Pat Patterson ready to go vs. Nuggets
Patrick Patterson (nose) will play against the Nuggets on Friday.
He made a joke he's a afraid to sneeze because of his nose adjustment, but he should be fine in his bench role tonight. Patterson has been effective off the bench and is an option in deeper leagues.

Patrick Patterson will not play against the Magic on Wednesday due to a procedure to rest his nose.
He had been playing with a mask and scored 15 points in 21 minutes on Monday. Also, this is interesting because Tyler Hansbrough is active. Psycho-T figures to get minutes with Pat-Pat out.

Sun Jan 26 201416:19Patrick Patterson (nose) with team
Patrick Patterson (nose) is with the team and is expected to play against the Nets on Monday.
He broke his nose on Saturday and he's likely going to be sporting a mask against the Nets. Patterson has stepped up his game with Tyler Hansbrough out for 11 games and he should still see plenty of minutes even when Hansbrough comes back.

Sat Jan 25 201422:34Patrick Patterson likely has broken nose
Patrick Patterson is believed to have a broken nose, according to coach Dwane Casey in Saturday's post-game press conference.
He'll likely have a mask upon his return and probably won't miss Monday's game against the Nets. Patterson scored seven points with two boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes after not returning from the injury.

Sun Jan 19 201415:36Patrick Patterson scores 17 points off bench
Patrick Patterson scored 17 points against the Lakers on Sunday with seven boards, one assists, one block, one steal and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
He's become one of the primary offensive weapons for the second unit and even gets some burn with the first-string guys. Coach Dwane Casey has played Amir Johnson at center some of the time, which has opened up some extra minutes for Patterson. He should still have a nice role even when Tyler Hansbrough comes back from his ankle injury. Johnson finished with 13 points, six boards, two assists , two steals and one 3-pointers, making a strong own in standard leagues.

Mon Jan 13 201423:05Patterson keeps foot on the gas with 18 pts
Patrick Patterson kept his foot on the gas with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer in 25 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Patterson has been producing well enough to be in starting lineups for about two weeks, and over his last four games he has averaged 15.0 points, 1.0 triples, 6.3 boards, 2.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks while hitting 54.8 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the line. The shooting efficiency will take a dip no matter what and Tyler Hansbrough's return is on the horizon, but it sure looks like Patterson has earned the right to play for his current role when Psycho T returns.

Mon Jan 13 201410:50Raptors coach praises Patrick Patterson
Raptors coach Dwane Casey praised newly-acquired PF Patrick Patterson for "really fitting in [and] accepting his role."
"He's playing like a starter, putting up starter numbers," Casey said. "For us he fills a great role that we need. He's a perfect fit for us." Patterson's early success and the Raptors' fondness for him does not bode well for Tyler Hansbrough, who has missed the past five games but could return as soon as Monday vs. the Bucks.

Sat Jan 11 201423:21Patrick Patterson double-doubles vs. BK
Patrick Patterson played 28 minutes off the bench against the Nets on Saturday with 14 points, 12 boards, one assist, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer.
He continues to play extremely well as the main bench big man. Tyler Hansbrough (ankle) has been out of the lineup and it's become abundantly clear Patterson is a better fit for the offense. They'll probably get into some sort of a timeshare upon Psycho-T's return, but owners in deeper leagues can give Pat-Pat a look until he cools off.

Wed Jan 8 201423:06Patrick Patterson quiet after big night
Patrick Patterson had eight points, three rebounds and four assists in 18 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
Pat-Pat had 20 points, six boards, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers on Tuesday night, but it was mainly because Jonas Valanciunas, Amir Johnson and Terrence Ross couldn't throw it in the ocean in that one.

Fri Jan 3 201421:34Patrick Patterson scores 18 points
Patrick Patterson has his best game as a Raptor during a 101-88 win over the Wizards with 18 points, four boards, two assists and two 3-pointers.
He picked up a lot of the scraps on offense and he was up to his usual tricks of hitting a lot of jumpers. Patterson is coming off a three-point game on Wednesday and only played 20.4 minutes per game before tonight, so he's not worth owning in most leagues. Plus, Tyler Hansbrough not playing was a big factor.

Sun Dec 15 201300:01Patrick Pattesron scores 12 points vs. Bulls
Patrick Patterson shot 4-of-5 from the field for 12 points in Saturday's 99-77 win over the Bulls to go with three boards, two blocks and two 3-pointers.
His shot was falling and he received a couple more minutes than his 19-minute debut on Friday. Patterson will have a tough time matching his 24.1 minutes per game from Sacramento, so he's not a strong pickup in most leagues.

Sun Dec 8 201319:44Raptors acquire Patrick Patterson from Kings
The Raptors acquired Patrick Patterson as part of Sunday's seven-player trade with the Kings.
Patterson has a $4.3 million qualifying option for next season, so he'll have a few months to show the Raptors' brass what he's capable of doing. Tyler Hansbrough (shoulder) may not stick as the starting PF and Amir Johnson was recently demoted to the bench for lackluster play, which leaves the door cracked open for Patterson to possibly earn the PF job. In six starts for the Kings this season, he averaged 5.7 points, 0.7 threes, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 26 minutes.

Wed Dec 4 201300:50Patrick Patterson cools off Tuesday
Patrick Patterson hit just 1-of-9 shots for three points, 10 rebounds and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.
It seemed like every time we looked up, Serge Ibaka was blocking or altering his shot, which is a big reason for tonight's struggles. He had 18 points, seven boards, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers on Sunday, but looked like a different guy tonight. And if this was the best he could do with DeMarcus Cousins in street clothes with a sprained ankle, we're not holding out much hope for Patterson going forward, outside of the occasional big night.

Sun Dec 1 201321:28Patrick Patterson makes 8-of-8 FGs off bench
The Kings lost to the Warriors by two points on Sunday, despite Patrick Patterson's 8-of-8 shooting display off the bench.
He notched 18 points, including two 3-pointers, to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. His last big night, a 21-point game vs. the Clippers in late November, was followed up by two games in which he averaged 4.0 points with a combined one assist and one block. For Patterson to have reliable value, it will likely take a promotion to the starting unit and/or an injury to Jason Thompson.

Sat Nov 23 201319:59Patrick Patterson busts out for 21 points
Patrick Patterson scored 21 points off the bench for the Kings on Saturday with seven boards, one assist, two steals and one turnover in 32 minutes.
Jason Thompson continues to falter and scored just six points in 10 minutes in the loss to the Clippers. Meanwhile, Patterson has played in at least 25 minutes per game since returning from a knee injury on Nov. 20 and looks to be back in the mix to get most of the minutes at power forward. He does appear to have more value than Thompson, but neither player deserves much attention in standard leagues yet.

Wed Nov 20 201301:48Patrick Patterson scores 10 in return
Patrick Patterson returned from a knee injury on Tuesday and had 10 points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer off the bench for the Kings.
He lost his starting job to Jason Thompson and as long as he's coming off the Kings bench, he should be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues.

Tue Nov 19 201320:22Kings Patrick Patterson a go for Tuesday
Kings big man Patrick Patterson is expected to play on Tuesday against the Suns.
He missed Sunday's game with a bruised left knee cap but will give it a go tonight. He'll come off the bench behind new starter Jason Thompson, as usual.

Sun Nov 17 201317:03Patrick Patterson out with bruised knee cap
Patrick Patterson (bruised left knee cap) will not play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
He tried to warm up for the game and has been ruled out one hour prior to tip. Patterson suffered the injury on Friday and was able to walk back to the locker room under his own power, so he should be ready for Tuesday's game against the Suns. Jason Thompson will likely pick up some extra playing time in a starting role.
