Fri Nov 15 2013 | 23:13 | Patterson leaves game after knocking knee |
Patrick Patterson left Friday's game during the first quarter after appearing to knock knees with Travis Outlaw and his return is questionable. |
Owners will want to keep a close eye on the situation and if it turns out serious then Jason Thompson will be worth an add. Anything less serious would obviously give owners pause in standard formats, considering how Thompson and Patterson have been mediocre in their timeshare this season. |

Sat Nov 9 2013 | 22:26 | Update: Patrick Patterson starting Saturday |
Updating a previous item, Patrick Patterson is starting at power forward on Saturday. |
Jason Thompson was listed as the starter, but Patterson was on the floor when the game started. There really wasn't much impact either way, so the change in the lineup is more or less inconsequential. |

Wed Nov 6 2013 | 01:47 | Patrick Patterson goes for 7 & 9 in loss |
Patrick Patterson started again for the Kings and had seven points, nine rebounds, two steals and a 3-pointer in 31 minutes of Tuesday's loss to the Hawks. |
Patterson is sharing time with Jason Thompson and had his best game of the season tonight, recording season highs in most categories. He's still not a must-own player, and the time share isn't ideal for fantasy, so just keep an eye on him. |

Sat Oct 26 2013 | 02:55 | Patterson and Thompson sharing time |
Patrick Patterson started in Friday's win over the Clippers, scoring nine points on 3-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes. |
Owners should get used to some variation of tonight's playing time and production split between Patterson and Jason Thompson (nine points, eight rebounds, 27 minutes). It's also looking possible that Patterson starts with Thompson coming off the bench, or at least that's what the Sacramento media thinks is best. It makes sense, as Patterson can stretch the floor for Cousins, and either way look for the two to trade off useful lines. |

Thu Oct 24 2013 | 01:35 | Patrick Patterson starts, scores 11 |
Patrick Patterson started for the Kings on Wednesday and hit 4-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, and eight rebounds. |
Jason Thompson came off the bench for nine points, six rebounds and a block in 24 minutes, and it looks like the duo will split minutes at power forward this season. They are both helped, however, by the hip injury that will keep Carl Landry out for at least half the season. |

Fri Oct 18 2013 | 00:34 | Patrick Patterson gets start, scores seven |
Patrick Patterson scored seven points in a start at power forward on Thursday, while adding five boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes. |
Jason Thompson came off the bench and played 22 minutes, coming up with a line of six points and six boards. These two are likely going to split the minutes at power forward, but since Patterson can take some triples, he gets the edge for overall upside. |

Patrick Patterson (back) returned to action on Friday, scoring eight points on 4-of-8 shooting with three rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes. |
Barring an injury in the frontcourt, owners will have a hard time pulling the trigger on Patterson even if he starts to produce, which makes him waiver wire fodder. |

Fri Apr 12 2013 | 20:50 | Patrick Patterson will be in uniform Friday |
Patrick Patterson will be in uniform against the Spurs on Friday. |
He has been dealing with back and hand issues and it's unclear how long he will play. Jason Thompson has played much better, so it might be a moot point. Patterson would need DeMarcus Cousins to misbehave to have value. |

Fri Apr 12 2013 | 13:00 | Patrick Patterson questionable to play Friday |
Patrick Patterson (back) went through shootaround and is questionable to face the Spurs on Friday. |
His participation in shootaround is a good sign for his health, but he'll be a dreaded game-time call. If he sits, Jason Thompson should pick up some extra burn. |

Thu Apr 11 2013 | 09:22 | Patrick Patterson also dealing w/ thumb issue |
In addition to a back injury, Patrick Patterson is also dealing with a thumb injury as well. |
"I just jammed it on Cole Aldrich's elbow during a little pregame warmup," he said. He's taped up his thumb and is working on his shooting form to compensate for the injury, and although the back injury is concerning, Patterson said he can't catch, shoot or dribble the ball without having pain in his thumb. He won't be fully healthy until next season. |

Tue Apr 9 2013 | 17:27 | Patrick Patterson expected to play Wednesday |
Kings PF Patrick Patterson (back, hand) is expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Hornets. |
Despite multiple injuries, it looks like Patterson going to close out the season on the active list. He's averaging 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.6 blocks since getting traded to the Kings at the deadline. |

Mon Apr 8 2013 | 08:43 | Patrick Patterson's bigger concern is hand |
Patrick Patterson, who did not play on Sunday due to a back injury, is actually dealing with a hand injury that is a bigger issue than his back. |
Keith Smart said after the game that Patterson's hand is "starting to bother him a great deal," but it's not clear exactly what the issue might be. All we know is that Patterson injured his hand in a workout about two weeks ago. Regardless, Patterson also had a "little bit of a back spasm," but it sounds like the hand is the injury to watch going forward. Jason Thompson stands to benefit from any more time Patterson misses. |

Sun Apr 7 2013 | 18:48 | Patrick Patterson (back) out vs. Memphis |
Patrick Patterson (back) will not play against the Grizzlies on Sunday. |
He played a whopping 42 minutes on Friday to help fill the void left by the disciplinary actions put on DeMarcus Cousins, which may explain the back soreness. Pat-Pat will have a tough time holding fantasy value while Cousins and Keith Smart aren't fighting and he played in just 16 minutes in the game prior to Friday. |

Sun Mar 31 2013 | 01:20 | Pat Patterson scoreless in loss to Lakers |
Patrick Patterson followed up Thursday's double-double with zero points and four rebounds in 20 minutes vs. the Lakers. |
He shot 0-of-4 from the field, including three attempts from downtown. Jason Thompson scored 15 points with four boards in 24 minutes and neither guy is very appealing while splitting minutes at PF. |

Fri Mar 22 2013 | 01:02 | Patrick Patterson still scores 11 points |
Patrick Patterson scored 11 points with four boards, two assists, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Wolves on Thursday. |
DeMarcus Cousins getting into foul trouble helps explain the minutes spike a bit, but Patterson is certainly capable of of some potent lines with limited minutes. He can shoot threes and he's been a good fit for the Kings, so he's worth a look in standards even with Cousins back in the lineup. |

Wed Mar 20 2013 | 01:40 | Patrick Patterson scores 13 off bench |
Patrick Patterson came off the bench on Tuesday, but saw some extra minutes due to a facial laceration for starter Jason Thompson that required stitches. |
Patterson finished with 13 points, five boards and a 3-pointer on 6-of-10 shooting in 26 minutes, and could be officially locked into a timeshare with Thompson, even when Thompson is fully healthy. But as long as both DeMarcus Cousins and Thompson are in the lineup, Patterson will be a fantasy gamble from night to night. |

Mon Mar 18 2013 | 00:04 | Patrick Patterson scores 22 points vs. Lakers |
Patrick Patterson had a big game vs. the Lakers, scoring 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting, with two 3-pointers and five rebounds in 36 minutes. |
This was easily Patterson's best game with the Kings, though it's hard to get excited since he did it with DeMarcus Cousins (thigh) on the sidelines and Jason Thompson (four points, seven boards) at center. Consider him a viable short-term option for as long as DMC is out. |

Fri Mar 15 2013 | 07:32 | Smart wants Patterson to keep hitting glass |
Keith Smart will "continue to challenge" Patrick Patterson to rebound the basketball. |
Patterson had nine rebounds in a start on Wednesday, but is averaging 4.3 rebounds since joining the Kings, and that's exactly where his career average also stands. "He knows that he needs to work on that and I shared that with him when he first arrived," Smart said. Patterson could continue to start if DeMarcus Cousins (thigh) has to miss more time, and he had 14 points, nine boards and a steal in just 20 minutes during Wednesday's blowout win over Chicago. |

Thu Mar 14 2013 | 02:50 | Patrick Patterson looks great in start |
Patrick Patterson got a start for the injured DeMarcus Cousins (quad contusion) and played well, scoring 14 points with nine boards, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers on 6-of-7 shooting in 20 minutes on Wednesday. |
He's only played 18 minutes per game with the Kings to this point and that number could be trending up after this outing. Patterson played 23.6 minutes per game in his previous three and with a 26 minute-per-game allotment, he would be worth a look in standards. DeMarcus Cousins could miss more time, so he'll be worth a look in deeper leagues. Jason Thompson (12 points, three boards, one assist and one block in 26 minutes) and Chuck Hayes (10 points and eight boards in 26 minutes) also stepped up with DMC out. |

Sat Mar 9 2013 | 03:39 | Patterson scores eight points with six boards |
Patrick Patterson scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and one block in 26 minutes off the bench on Friday. |
It doesn't look like Patterson is going away but he's likely going to do more damage to Jason Thompson (12 points, one rebound, one block, 29 minutes) than anything else. |
