Mon Mar 25 201319:43Andrew Nicholson doubtful to return
Andrew Nicholson suffered a left ankle sprain in the first half of Monday's game and is doubtful to return.
The Magic are running out of bodies with Nikola Vucevic out of the lineup and Kyle O'Quinn will have to fill an even bigger void. Al Harrington will also get more playing time. Nicholson has been a disaster on defense this year and shouldn't be owned in most leagues.

Thu Mar 21 201300:16Andrew Nicholson scores 14 in 19 minutes
Andrew Nicholson had 14 points and three rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
He had eight points in 16 minutes of garbage time the night before and the Magic cleared the bench in this one, as well. Nicholson is worth keeping an eye on going forward, but we doubt he'll be this productive on most nights.

Wed Mar 20 201301:39Andrew Nicholson makes appearance Tuesday
Andrew Nicholson saw 16 minutes of garbage time in an ugly loss to the Pacers on Tuesday, finishing with eight points, two rebounds and two blocks.
Nicholson, who has been dealing with an illness, had played just two minutes over his previous four games, so unless the Magic are ready to give him a steady role going forward, he has no fantasy value right now. His illness aside, he's fallen out of the rotation due to the strong play of Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless and Tobias Harris.

Tue Mar 19 201312:13Andrew Nicholson questionable for Tuesday
Andrew Nicholson (illness) is questionable to play on Tuesday.
Nicholson was on the Magic bench on Sunday but didn't play, but he's had a couple of days to recover so it's possible he gets back in there against the Pacers.

Sun Mar 17 201315:53Andrew Nicholson (ill) picks up DNP vs. Bucks
Andrew Nicholson (illness) didn't leave the Magic bench on Sunday.
He was iffy to play after skipping Saturday's practice, and his declining role off the bench should have ensured that he wasn't in active lineups. There's a good chance that he'll be healthy enough to play vs. the Pacers on Tuesday.

Sat Mar 16 201315:51Andrew Nicholson has a stomach bug
Andrew Nicholson (illness) did not practice on Saturday and is questionable for Sunday.
He has a stomach bug, but that hasn't been why he's only played a grand total of two minutes in the past three games. Tobias Harris is running away with the power forward job and logged 40 minutes on Friday. Nicholson having himself a nice Summer League hasn't really translated to playing with the big boys and he's got some work to do to be relevant in fantasy leagues.

Sun Mar 10 201321:31Andrew Nicholson picks up healthy DNP-CD
Andrew Nicholson was a healthy DNP-CD on Sunday.
Nicholson had played at least 20 minutes in every game since early February, and he logged 18 minutes on Friday, but Jacque Vaughn went a different direction against the Sixers tonight. He's likely to rejoin the rotation before long, but this should be the final straw for any fantasy owners still hanging onto him in average leagues.

Mon Mar 4 201323:18Nicholson scoes eight points in 16 minutes
Andrew Nicholson played just 16 minutes on Monday, scoring eight points on 4-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and one assist.
Nicholson did not record a steal or block and he has struggled enough to be dropped in standard formats. Just keep an eye on him to see if he can get his act together.

Fri Mar 1 201322:15Andrew Nicholson scores 17 points
Andrew Nicholson shot 7-of-8 from the field for 17 points with no boards, one assist and two turnovers in just 17 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.
It was the was the third game in a row in which he logged just 17 minutes. Things aren't looking good for Nicholson and his arrow is pointing down with Tobias Harris taking his lunch money.

Tue Feb 26 201322:03Andrew Nicholson gets just 17 minutes
Andrew Nicholson played just 17 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with 13 points, two rebounds and a block in a win over the Sixers.
Al Harrington made his debut tonight after multiple knee surgeries, played 12 minutes and appeared to limit Nicholson's playing time, while the emergence of Tobias Harris isn't helping, either. But let's see what happens in the next one before panicking if you own Nicholson, as Harrington probably isn't going to be able to handle heavy minutes going forward.

Sat Feb 23 201300:53Andrew Nicholson scores 14 points in 33 mins.
Andrew Nicholson scored 14 points with one board, one steal and two blocks in 33 minutes during Friday's 88-82 loss to the Grizzlies.
He's basically the last man standing at power forward and coach Jacque Vaughn is probably going to play him as many minutes as he can handle. Nicholson turned some heads during NBA Summer League and he'll have a tremendous opportunity here. Any owner that needs a power forward can give him a look.

Thu Feb 21 201300:59Andrew Nicholson plays 31 minutes Wed.
Andrew Nicholson played 31 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday and scored 10 points with seven rebounds and two assists.
Kyle O'Quinn didn't score in four minutes while Gustavo Ayon only scored four in 12 minutes. Nicholson looks to have the inside track for minutes at power forward, but the Magic could be getting some frontcourt help tomorrow. He's still worth a look for any owner looking for big man help.

Tue Feb 19 201321:55Andrew Nicholson double-doubles vs. CHA
Andrew Nicholson made the start on Tuesday and had 13 points, 12 rebounds and a steal on 5-of-13 shooting in 32 minutes in a loss to the Bobcats.
Nicholson came in averaging 12 points and six rebounds over his previous five games, and those numbers are going up after this one. This was just his second double-double of the season, but both have come in February. As long as Nicholson continues to start for the Magic, he's worth grabbing in many fantasy leagues.

Wed Feb 13 201321:58Andrew Nicholson goes for 10 & 6 in loss
Andrew Nicholson started and had 10 points and six rebounds on 5-of-9 shooting in 28 minutes as the Magic were blown out at home by the Hawks Wednesday.
Nicholson is an interesting fantasy prospect right now, and Josh McRoberts actually started over him in the second half, when the game was already decided. McBob finished with zero points in six minutes, and Nicholson's value could be impacted when Al Harrington comes back from knee surgery after the break. But Nicholson has enough upside to be given a close look going forward, as long as he hangs onto the starting power forward job.

Sun Feb 10 201320:56Andrew Nicholson plays 22 minutes vs. POR
Andrew Nicholson only played 22 minutes in Sunday's win, scoring 14 points with five rebounds, one steal and one block.
Gustavo Ayon blew up in a reserve role and Nikola Vucevic was a rebound magnet, as usual, so Nicholson wound up on the short end of the rotation. Inconsistency is a given, but there's enough upside here to own Orlando's starting PF in most leagues.

Sat Feb 9 201300:46Nicholson hits 21 & 8; Vucevic posts 25 & 13
Andrew Nicholson scored 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 31 minutes on Friday against the Cavs.
Nicholson has shown the ability to put up numbers, and despite the fact that he will deal with some inconsistency, he is a quickly emerging stash candidate. The Magic have little to no reason not to give him big developmental minutes down the stretch. Nikola Vucevic added a career-high 25 points and 13 rebounds in Friday's loss.

Mon Feb 4 201321:28Andrew Nicholson has 11 pts, 6 reb off bench
Andrew Nicholson finished Monday's ugly defeat with 11 points and six boards in 28 minutes off the bench.
The bench role isn't surprising considering how awful he was as the starting PF on Saturday, when he scored six points with three turnovers and four personal fouls in 10 minutes. There's some upside here, but Nicholson has been far too erratic for use in average leagues.

Sat Feb 2 201323:27Andrew Nicholson scores six with no boards
Andrew Nicholson made all three of his field goals for six point with one block in just 10 minutes against the Bucks on Saturday.
He had a big line of Friday with 14 and 10, but he lost all of his momentum with this dud. Nicholson hasn't been able to string games together for much of the season and has never scored in double figures for three games in a row, so those in deeper leagues that want to grab him might want to temper expectations.

Fri Feb 1 201322:06Andrew Nicholson double-doubles Friday
Andrew Nicholson had a double-double on Friday with 14 points and 10 boards, adding one assist, one steal and two block in 33 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.
It was his first double-double of his career and his best game as a pro. Nicholson did stumble the last time Glen Davis missed time, but he did show some flashes. He's worth a look in some deeper formats. Gustavo Ayon played just seven minutes and didn't score.

Fri Feb 1 201319:31Nicholson to start in Big Baby's old slot
Andrew Nicholson will start at power forward in Friday's game against the Celtics.
Nicholson is the most interesting fantasy play in the junkyard of potential beneficiaries of Big Baby's foot injury. We wouldn't drop anybody of consistent value to make a speculative add before tonight's contest, but if you have dead weight or a low-upside player then it's worth considering a roll of the dice.
