Mon May 13 201307:59Copeland, Novak to see more in Game 4?
Chris Copeland and Steve Novak could see some more minutes in Game 4 vs. the Pacers.
Copeland and Novak didn't see any time until garbage minutes in Game 3, and even if they return to a regular role in the rotation, neither is going to be a prominent factor against a very physical Indiana team.

Sat May 4 201312:27Chris Copeland's shoulder still not healed
Chris Copeland said his shoulder is still not 100 percent.
Copeland didn't play Friday night after coach Mike Woodson said he might replace the injured Steve Novak (back spasms) in the rotation. It was the third straight DNP-CD for Copeland, who says he's fine and ready to play. Novak remains out indefinitely, so there could be minutes for Copeland in the second round if he's healthy.

Mon Apr 29 201309:03Chris Copeland's shoulder not 100 percent
Chris Copeland revealed that his shoulder is still not fully healthy.
Copeland picked up a DNP-Coach's Decision in Sunday's Game 4 loss, and it's possible Mike Woodson is shying away from him because he's not at full strength. No matter the reason, Copeland is unlikely to be a fantasy factor with J.R. Smith due back from his suspension for Game 5.

Sun Apr 21 201308:58Chris Copeland bothered by sore shoulder
Chris Copeland, who had his shoulder pop out of place in the regular season finale, admitted that the injury was bothering him during Saturday's Game 1 win over the Celtics.
It was noticeable. Copeland was wearing a special undershirt to protect the shoulder and had it taped underneath, admitted that he could use some rest. "Could be better, but no excuses," he said. "Rest will help." Assuming Pablo Prigioni (ankle) is ready for Game 2, Copeland will return to a reserve role.

Sat Apr 20 201313:33Copeland starting Game 1; Prigioni inactive
Chris Copeland is in the starting lineup for Saturday's Game 1 against the Celtics.
Copeland is starting for Pablo Prigioni, who was inactive with an ankle injury. Despite the bump in status, Copeland is unlikely to exceed 20 minutes and remains an extremely limited fantasy option.

Fri Apr 19 201313:31Copeland sporting starters jersey Friday
Chris Copeland is expected to start in Saturday's game against Boston.
He's wearing a starter's jersey in practice and all signs point to him being in the starting five. Copeland had a minor shoulder injury in the regular-season finale, but there have been no reports of him still dealing with the ailment. While he was spectacular in the last week of the season, Copeland is unlikely to get more than 20 minutes per game in the postseason.

Thu Apr 18 201300:24Copeland scores career-high 33, but injured
Chris Copeland scored a career-high 33 points and became the first Knicks rookie to score 30 point in back-to-back games since Bill Cartwright, but also suffered a shoulder injury in Wednesday's win over the Hawks.
Copeland added three boards, one assist, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer on the night, and is simply on fire for a depleted Knicks team. Most of the big men are hurt and now Copeland's shoulder injury sounds like it could be a problem on Saturday. "It don't feel too great right now," he said of his shoulder. "I'm sure tomorrow won't be any better but I'll be fine by Saturday." Copeland should be a fairly popular pick in fantasy playoff leagues, but it remains to be seen if the Knicks will be able to get by the Celtics. They kick things off with Game 1 on Saturday in New York.

Mon Apr 15 201321:20Chris Copeland explodes for 32 points
Chris Copeland was the focal point of New York's offense in Monday's loss the Bobcats, scoring a career-high 32 points with seven boards, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 47 minutes.
He's coming off a 20-point game on Sunday and this was his sixth game with at least 20 points this year. Copeland made a huge splash in the preseason with a 34-point gem on October 20 and he was in a similar situation tonight with the Knicks resting their core players. He's a must-own player.

Sun Apr 14 201318:41Chris Copeland scores 20 points vs. Pacers
Chris Copeland scored 20 points in his 34 minutes of action vs. the Pacers on Sunday, shooting 8-of-12 from the field with three boards, one steal and two 3-pointers.
The Knicks clinched the two seed today and Mike Woodson said that he'll be resting his core players the rest of the way. Assuming the Copeland isn't a core player, he's one of those "run, don't walk" players to add in fantasy leagues for the last three days of the season. This was his fifth 20-point game and he could add two more on Monday and Wednesday.

Thu Apr 11 201323:22Chris Copeland fills the stat sheet in 29 min
Chris Copeland started at center against the Bulls on Thursday and shot 4-of-14 from the field for 14 points with five boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
The shooting line stinks, but the threes and defense have to make any fantasy owner that started him tonight feel pretty good. Copeland is far from your prototypical center at 6'8", but he's the best option they have now with Tyson Chandler (neck) and Kenyon Martin (ankle) dealing with injuries. The Knicks may also rest their veterans and Copeland does have four 20-point games to his credit this season, so it's not crazy to think he'll have mid-round value the rest of the way.

Thu Apr 11 201312:11Chris Copeland to start at center on Thursday
Chris Copeland will draw the start at center on Thursday against the Bulls.
Copeland is not a center, but the Knicks are without Tyson Chandler (neck) and Kenyon Martin (ankle), so the rookie will see big minutes at a variety of positions on Thursday. He's coming off of a game with 17 points and nine boards (including four triples) on Tuesday, so those in daily leagues can definitely use Copeland on a night with just two games.

Sun Mar 31 201322:53Chris Copeland scores 22 points off bench
Chris Copeland scored 22 points with three 3-pointers off the Knicks bench on Sunday, making 6-of-10 FGs and 7-of-9 FTs in under 20 minutes.
Kenyon Martin left briefly with a strained abdominal muscle, which sent up a waiver-wire alert for Copeland, but K-Mart was able to return to the game. The Knicks rookie inevitably follows up his big scoring games with a few duds, and we suggest leaving him where you found him.

Thu Mar 21 201300:20Chris Copeland quiet in Melo's return
Chris Copeland had nine points, three rebounds, a 3-pointer and nothing else in 20 minutes of Wednesday's win.
He was back on the bench due to the return of Carmelo Anthony, and while he's still capable of having some nice nights, the chances of them happening consistently take a huge hit with Melo's return. Monitor him closely and think about dropping him if you can pick up a hot free agent.

Sun Mar 17 201318:29Chris Copeland gets 13 points in start at SF
Chris Copeland started at SF and scored 13 points in 26 minutes minutes on Sunday, hitting 5-of-11 field goals with three 3-pointers.
He didn't do much else, unfortunately, with four rebounds, two assists and zero steals or blocks. Carmelo Anthony (knee) could play vs. the Jazz on Monday, though without a practice in between it doesn't seem very likely. If he sits again, Copeland will be an intriguing spot-starter for those in need of scoring.

Fri Mar 15 201301:19Chris Copeland has just nine points vs. POR
Chris Copeland got a start against the Blazers on Thursday, scoring nine points with one board, one steal and two 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
He scored a quick six points in the first quarter, then disappeared for the rest of the game. Copeland does have three 20-point games to his credit this year and he might be worth a look for owners as spot-start in deep leagues on Sunday.

Thu Mar 14 201302:46Chris Copeland could be ready for more run
Chris Copeland played just 20 minutes and hit 1-of-5 shots on Wednesday, but made all five of his free throws to finish with seven points, six rebounds and a block in the ugly loss at Denver.
Copeland could be ready to see a big boost in minutes, as someone is going to have to play in place of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire for the Knicks, who are both down with knee injuries. Copeland's far from a sure thing, but Marcus Camby isn't the answer, and Kenyon Martin's legs can't handle too much stress. If you want to take a flier on Copeland, now's the time to do so.

Tue Mar 12 201301:25Copeland scores 15 points with six boards
Chris Copeland scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with six rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes of Monday's blowout loss.
The garbage time element throws a wet blanket on this, as does the fact that it's not likely Copeland will watch his teammates collectively struggle like this. He needs to show us more in most formats before we'll advise a pickup.

Sun Mar 10 201310:18Woodson to keep Copeland in rotation?
Mike Woodson was happy with Chris Copeland's play on Saturday and he plans to keep Copeland in the rotation during the Knicks' upcoming road trip.
Copeland has proven that he can score in bunches, but he gives up just as many points with shoddy defense. He scored 12 points in 10 minutes vs. Utah on Saturday and owners in average leagues should give him a wide berth.

Sat Jan 26 201314:18Chris Copeland not practicing hard enough
Mike Woodson said that Chris Copeland isn't practicing hard enough.
Copeland was mature and took the criticism in stride. "I'm a rookie," he said. "I have a lot to learn and he's always on me about getting better. That's important. It's still my first year. I still have a lot to learn, for sure." Raymond Felton and Iman Shumpert adding depth to the Knicks suggests that Copeland could lose even more minutes.

Thu Jan 24 201311:34Chris Copeland will not start on Thursday
Chris Copeland will not start on Thursday as the Knicks are making a change to the starting lineup.
Mike Woodson wouldn't reveal his new starting lineup, but Copeland is out. It's possible that Kurt Thomas could start at power forward as Amare Stoudemire will continue to come off the bench.
