Sun Jan 13 201315:14Copeland scores 22 points in start Sunday
Chris Copeland started at small forward against the Hornets on Sunday and shot 9-of-15 from the field for 22 points with four rebounds and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
He caught our eye for an impressive preseason with 18.0 points per game in his last five preseason contests, but it wasn't enough to give him a significant role even with Amare Stoudemire hurt in the beginning of the season. Marcus Camby is out of the lineup for close to a month and this lineup could stick. Although, we'd like to see it again before suggesting him as a pickup in most formats.

Thu Jan 10 201311:17Chris Copeland likely to start for Anthony
Chris Copeland is expected to take Carmelo Anthony's spot in the starting lineup on Thursday.
Carmelo is suspended one game following the incident with Kevin Garnett. In two starts this season, Copeland is averaging 20 points, three rebounds, a steal and 2.5 3-pointers in 23.5 minutes. He's worth a look for owners in need of a spot start on a night where there are just three games.

Sat Dec 29 201204:27Copeland scores 23 points vs. Kings
Chris Copeland had a mixed effort against the defenseless Kings on Friday, scoring 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting (including three treys) with one rebound, one assist, and one block in 41 minutes off the bench.
Had Mike Woodson had other options he would have likely turned to them as Copeland's defense was terrible and he couldn't get a rebound to save his life. If not for the Kings' porous defense, he wouldn't have looked nearly as good. The blurb wouldn't be complete if we didn't mention that he got blocked by Aaron Brooks on an open-court dunk with about a 10-15 foot head start.

Thu Dec 27 201200:38Chris Copeland scores 14 points vs. PHX
Chris Copeland played 30 minutes off the bench in a thrilling 99-97 win over Phoenix and had 14 points, two rebounds, two blocks and two 3-pointers.
He had his rookie moments and not following his shot on a couple occasions almost proved costly for the Knicks. While this is a nice game for Copeland, Carmelo Anthony shouldn't be out much longer. We wouldn't cut anyone with solidified value for him at this point.

Mon Dec 17 201223:30Chris Copeland scores career-high 29 points
Chris Copeland started for injured Carmelo Anthony (ankle) scored a career-high 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, two assists, and one block in 28 minutes on Monday against the Rockets.
Copeland has some offensive game but his defensive issues are glaring, but he'll be worth a look for spot-duty in deeper formats while Anthony is out.

Sat Dec 15 201222:26Chris Copeland quiet in start for Melo
Starting in place of injured Carmelo Anthony (ankle), Chris Copeland scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting (including two 3-pointers) in just 19 minutes of action on Saturday.
Copeland's offensive prowess is nullified by his terrible defense, and there's no reason to bother with him in fantasy leagues as long as Melo is day-to-day.

Sat Nov 3 201205:09Copeland plays two minutes in season opener
Chris Copeland played just two minutes in the Knicks' season opener on Friday.
Perhaps Mike Woodson didn't want to mess with an overage rookie on a night when the Knicks needed a win for the hurricane-ravaged hometown. It's a blow to the rookie's fantasy value, nonetheless, though owners should be ready to pounce on his Andrea Bargnani-like game if he starts to make headway.

Sat Oct 27 201210:47Chris Copeland must work on defense, boards
Chris Copeland is almost certain to make the Knicks' regular season roster, but coach Mike Woodson wants him to focus on defense and rebounding.
"He's proven he can score," said Woodson. "He still needs work defensively and in rebounding. Overall, though, I think he's getting better." With Amare Stoudemire, Marcus Camby and Tyson Chandler all ailing to start the season, Copeland has a golden opportunity to establish himself in the Knicks' rotation.

Thu Oct 25 201200:15Chris Copeland scores 16 in 37 minutes
Chris Copeland had 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one three in 37 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.
The Knicks are extremely banged up in the frontcourt with Amare Stoudemire, Marcus Camby, Rasheed Wallace and now Tyson Chandler all not healthy. Copeland is averaging 16 points in the preseason while peppering in some production in the steals, blocks and threes departments. He's certainly on the radar in deeper leagues and he could easily crack the starting lineup on opening night.
