Tue Feb 15 201113:15Raja Bell a game-time decision Tuesday
Raja Bell is a game-time decision for Tuesday due to his lingering calf injury.
Bell should return to his starting job after the All-Star break, although that doesn't mean he necessarily has fantasy value.

Mon Feb 14 201114:43Miles won't be taking starting gig from Bell
New coach Tyrone Corbin said that Raja Bell (calf) will return to his starting shooting guard role once healthy.
There has been heavy speculation that Corbin could insert C.J. Miles into the starting five for some extra offensive punch, but it's not going to happen now. Corbin apparently views Miles as a better bench guy -- just like Jerry Sloan did. Miles will still hold value as a 3-point shooter, especially when Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is out as he is right now.

Mon Feb 14 201112:11Bell, Price game-time decisions for Jazz
Raja Bell (calf) and Ronnie Price (toe) will be game-time decisions for the Jazz on Tuesday.
Both players will attempt to practice on Monday so we should get updates soon enough. Bell's starting job is in jeopardy, as C.J. Miles might be promoted by new coach Tyrone Corbin.

Fri Feb 11 201121:03Raja Bell (calf) out Friday, Miles to start
Raja Bell (calf) will not play on Friday against the Suns, and C.J. Miles will start in his place.
We haven't thought much of the change from Jerry Sloan to Ty Corbin from a fantasy perspective, other than it may loosen things up a bit, but Miles has been a figure of interest if there was one. A good performance tonight could be rewarded with a starting gig, though he profiles better coming off the bench.

Fri Feb 11 201112:51Raja Bell (calf) iffy vs. Suns on Friday
Raja Bell (strained left calf) is questionable to play vs. the Suns on Friday.
Bell continues to play 30+ minutes as a starter for Utah, but he's a defensive specialist and offers minimal fantasy value. Keep an eye on his playing time -- he might ceded a few minutes to C.J. Miles, which would be great news for Miles' owners.

Tue Feb 8 201112:50Bell misses practice for personal reasons
Raja Bell missed Tuesday's practice for personal reasons but is expected to play against the Bulls Wednesday.
For a grizzled veteran with a great reputation like Bell, this is no concern. He'll be in the lineup Wednesday and ready for his usual 30-33 minutes.

Tue Feb 8 201102:56Raja Bell's hot streak continues on Monday
Raja Bell's hot streak continued in Monday's win over the Kings, as he scored 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting (no threes) with no rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 38 minutes.
He is now averaging 17 points over his last three games, after being virtually non-existent all season long. This jump in production corresponds with a slump by C.J. Miles, and was necessary with Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) out for two of the three games. We fully expect Miles to break out of his slump, which should come at the expense of Bell, but stranger things have happened. Bell can be considered a flier pickup at this time, but we're not expecting much.
Mon Feb 7 201110:34Jazz bludgeoned by pick-and-rolls
After the Jazz were decimated by pick-and-rolls on Sunday, Jazz guard Raja Bell said "maybe we're just destined to not be a very good pick-and-roll team."
Utah tried every conceivable defense vs. the Thunder, but nothing worked, leading inevitably to frustration from both Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams.

Sun Feb 6 201103:20Bell has another productive game with AK out
Raja Bell scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and three assists on Saturday.
That makes two productive games in a row, but with Andrei Kirilenko out we're not biting. If he can duplicate this line when Kirilenko returns Monday, as expected, then we'll take a look.
Sat Feb 5 201102:46Bell scores 20 points in pivotal moment
Raja Bell scored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting (1-of-5 from downtown) with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 41 minutes of Friday's win over the Nuggets.
This is a real nice night, but one that we haven't seen much of and don't expect to see much of going forward. He was flagrantly fouled late by J.R. Smith, who got ejected with the play, in a moment that some may look back on as a turning point if the Jazz get things turned around.
Fri Jan 28 201113:54Raja Bell (neck, shoulder) ready to go Friday
Jazz veteran Raja Bell (sore neck and shoulder) will play on Friday.
Bell is mired in an awful 7-of-30 slump over the past six games, so hopefully he'll get back on track tonight.

Fri Jan 28 201110:05Raja Bell struggles during six-game skid
Raja Bell is shooting 7-of-30 from the field during Utah's current six-game losing streak.
Bell hasn't cracked six points during the skid and obviously has very limited fantasy appeal. He's also bothered by neck and shoulder injuries, but seems likely to play Friday.

Thu Jan 27 201113:17Raja misses practice
Raja Bell (neck, shoulder) is listed as a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Wolves.
Bell sat out practice Thursday, but it's likely just precautionary rest. The defensive stopper hasn't made more than one shot in any of his last four games.

Thu Jan 13 201101:23Raja Bell scores 18 with four 3-pointers
Raja Bell hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points in Wednesday's win.
Bell has been close to getting yanked from the starting five for the Jazz, but probably solidfied his postition tonight. This was just his third game of the season with at least 15 points, meaning he still isn't worth a look in fantasy.
Mon Dec 20 201022:38Bell scores 19 points with five threes
Raja Bell hit five 3-point shots on his way to 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting, three rebounds, and two assists on Monday.
He is worth a look if you need 3-point shooting, but that's about it. He's an afterthought in the Jazz's offense.
Sat Dec 18 201000:25Raja Bell returns from groin injury
Raja Bell returned from his groin injury Friday and hit just 3-of-11 shots and two threes for eight points.
Bell is back, but is too inconsistent to use in most fantasy leagues.
Fri Dec 17 201013:33Raja Bell (groin) expects to start Friday
Raja Bell (groin) expects to start Friday's game vs. the Hornets.
Bell has missed the past three games, but the veteran swingman felt good during shootaround on Friday. His return will shift Gordon Hayward back to the bench.

Thu Dec 16 201019:05Raja Bell hoping to return for Jazz Friday
Raja Bell is hoping to return Friday from a three-game absence due to a groin injury.
He planned on scrimmaging with the Jazz in Thursday's practice to test his lateral movement. My mind's set on playing tomorrow," Bell said. "That's how I'm treating it."

Wed Dec 15 201016:15Raja Bell a game-time call for Friday
Raja Bell (thigh) is expected to be a game-time decision for Friday.
The veteran, averaging 9.3 points and 1.8 threes in four games this month, has missed the last three Jazz games due to the injury. Rookie Gordon Hayward has started the last three games in his absence, totaling one point.

Mon Dec 13 201020:18Bell (thigh) out, Hayward to start on Tue
Raja Bell (thigh) will not play on Monday against the Warriors, and rookie Gordon Hayward will start again in his place.
Kyrylo Fesenko will also be available to play, but none of them have much value in fantasy leagues, regardless.
