Mon Sep 24 2012 | 08:37 | Raja Bell would 'for sure' play for Heat |
Raja Bell said he would "for sure" play for the Heat if he's bought out by the Jazz. |
The speculation has existed for a while in regards to Bell potentially playing for the Heat, and it's worth noting that his kids go to school in the area and it's where the veteran grew up. He's expected to take a physical for the Jazz on Monday, which will go a long way toward determining his future. |

Sat Sep 22 2012 | 10:18 | Raja Bell to complete Jazz buyout on Monday? |
Raja Bell will take a physical in Utah on Monday, at which point he could officially accept a buyout from the Jazz. |
"We had a buyout in place early in the summer," said Bell. "The Jazz never officially presented it to me. But they never really officially told me I was coming back there, either. So I'm really in a limbo situation right now." Bell said that once he's a free agent, playing for the Heat "would be on the top of [his] list," but it remains to be seen if Miami wants to add another veteran SG to the roster. |

Thu Sep 20 2012 | 09:48 | Raja Bell not expected to be in Jazz camp |
Raja Bell is not expected to be in training camp with the Jazz. |
Bell and the Jazz continue to work on a buyout of his contract, and the resolution has taken longer than anyone expected. Regardless, the veteran isn't going to attend and he'll look to latch on with a contender once he's finally bought out. |

Wed Sep 19 2012 | 08:14 | Report: Heat could make a run at Raja Bell |
The Heat could express interest in Raja Bell if he's bought out by the Jazz, according to beat writer Ira Winderman. |
Winderman isn't one to blindly speculate without some basis to his thought process, and Miami could use a veteran defender on the wing. Keep an eye on Bell's buyout process as we're almost certain Miami will express some level of interest if he hits free agency. |

Sun Sep 16 2012 | 19:58 | Jazz still unable to buy out Raja Bell's deal |
With the start of training camp a mere two weeks away, the Jazz have yet to buy out Raja Bell's contract. |
Bell intends to play a few more seasons in the NBA, but he has no interest in remaining with the Jazz. The team agrees that it's time to part ways, and a buyout worth roughtly $1 million has been on the table since July, which makes the lack of resolution bewildering to most observers, not to mention the agents for players who want to sign with Utah (Bell is occupying a valuable roster spot). Hopefully the standoff will be resolved peacefully in the next few weeks. |

Fri Sep 14 2012 | 12:53 | Jazz GM, Raja Bell's agent not talking buyout |
Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey and agent Herb Rudoy have agreed "not to talk about" a possible buyout for Raja Bell. |
To be clear, the two sides won't be discussing the possibility publicly, but they are still working toward an agreement which would allow Bell to join another team. The veteran has no fantasy value. |

Wed Sep 12 2012 | 08:22 | Raja Bell, Jazz continuing to work on buyout |
Raja Bell's agent Herb Rudoy confirmed that the team is still working on a contract buyout for his client. |
"We're talking to their new GM [Dennis Lindsey] and working on it," Rudoy said. Bell "hasn't rejected or accepted anything," but it would be a sizable surprise if Bell was on the team when training camp opens given what has transpired since the end of last season. It's best for both parties to move on. |

Fri Sep 7 2012 | 09:03 | Raja Bell, Jazz continue to work out buyout |
There is "nothing new or imminent" between the Jazz and Raja Bell. |
The team was reportedly working on a buyout for the disgruntled veteran in early July, but for some reason Utah still hasn't been able to come to an agreement with Bell. We'd be shocked if he began the season with the club. |

Tue Jul 31 2012 | 08:37 | Report: Raja Bell refusing to be bought out |
Raja Bell "has not accepted a buyout with the Jazz," a source tells the Salt Lake Tribune. |
This is just getting weird. Bell and the Jazz had verbally agreed on a buyout and the team had even given Bell's agent to work on a new home for the veteran guard, and after the team officially offered Bell a buyout, he's refused to accept the deal. As strange as this saga is, we expect a resolution well before training camp and can't imagine a scenario where Bell returns to Utah. |

Wed Jul 18 2012 | 07:40 | Report: Six teams interested in Raja Bell |
Raja Bell's agent, Herb Rudoy, said that six teams have expressed interest in his client. |
Interestingly, the Heat have made no inquiries to date. Rudoy wouldn't name what teams were interested, but he expected the entire process to wrap up within the next 10 days. The Lakers and Heat were rumored to have interest previously. |

Mon Jul 9 2012 | 13:07 | Jazz and G/F Raja Bell reach buyout agreement |
The Jazz have given permission to Raja Bell's agent to seek a trade for Bell or to reach a buyout agreement. |
It's unlikely someone will trade for Bell's $3.4 million contract, so a buyout is much more likely. Either way, he has played his last game for the Jazz after publicly clashing with head coach Tyrone Corbin last year. Bell, 35, averaged 6.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game last season while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent behind the 3-point line in 34 games (33 starts). If the buyout occurs as expected, Bell would be free to sign with any team, but the Lakers and Heat have emerged as front-runners for his services. No matter where Bell lands, he will not be fantasy relevant next season. |

Sun Jul 8 2012 | 19:45 | Raja Bell to be bought out by Jazz |
Swingman Raja Bell said Sunday he's close to reaching a buyout agreement with the Jazz. |
Bell is a good defender but doesn't do enough on the offensive end to offer much fantasy value. Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Bell is interested in joining the Heat, where he would play behind LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, or possibly the Lakers. |

Wed May 9 2012 | 09:31 | Raja Bell, C.J. Miles irked by Jazz coach |
Raja Bell and C.J. Miles were both displeased with coach Tyrone Corbin this season. |
Both players felt Corbin's communication was lacking, or nonexistent, and Bell said that his coach was "unprofessional" toward the end of the season. Corbin edged both Bell and Miles out of the rotation, favoring younger players who are under contract such as Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks. That didn't sit well with the veterans, neither of whom is likely to return with the Jazz in 2012-13. |

Tue May 8 2012 | 13:08 | Raja Bell not looking to return to Jazz |
Raja Bell said that he doesn't feel like he has a future with the Jazz. |
Bell has one year remaining on his deal, but the team isn't going to get much back in any trade for an aging veteran with knee problems. Although he's slated to earn approximately $3.5 million, Utah might have a better chance of buying him out so he can finish his career with a title contender. |

Sun May 6 2012 | 22:46 | Raja Bell: 'No communication' w/ Jazz coach |
Raja Bell doesn't know why Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin won't play him in the postseason. |
Bell said there has been "no communication" about his lack of activity, which is concerning since he's under contract for $3.4 million next season. "It's just where we are now," said Corbin. "He's coming off an injury, and we're just playing with what we've got, with where we are. There's no problem. Not on my part." It's possible the two sides will agree to part ways this summer, but that's pure conjecture. |

Fri May 4 2012 | 10:17 | Raja Bell hoping to play in Game 3 |
Raja Bell (knee) is hoping to play in Game 3 against the Spurs. |
"I played the last game of the regular season," Bell said when asked about whether he was healthy enough to play. "Again, it's not my call. It's OK." Whether or not Bell plays in this series is highly unlikely to have an impact on Utah's chances of getting past San Antonio. |

Mon Apr 23 2012 | 12:33 | Raja Bell, Howard going through practice |
Raja Bell (knee) and Josh Howard (knee) are both going through a full practice Monday. |
There's not much to see here from a fantasy perspective. Both veterans figure to be rusty and coach Tyrone Corbin already said neither will start even if they're active Tuesday. Bell hasn't played since March 15 and Howard has been out for more than a month as well. |

Fri Apr 20 2012 | 12:22 | Raja Bell to do light practice on Friday |
Raja Bell (knee) will go through a light practice on Friday. |
Bell is working his way back in time for the postseason, but he's not on the fantasy radar. |

Tue Apr 17 2012 | 13:21 | Raja Bell feeling good, hopes to play soon |
Raja Bell (knee) said that conditioning is the only hurdle remaining for him to begin playing again. |
Bell won't need another injection in his knee and that health isn't an issue. With the Jazz playing well without him, it would be a surprise to see Utah rush him back into action. Regardless, the veteran holds no fantasy appeal moving forward. |

Wed Apr 4 2012 | 12:51 | Raja Bell out at least two more weeks |
Raja Bell (knee) is hoping to return within the next two weeks. |
Bell doesn't think he'll need surgery, but the veteran won't be able to run for the next two weeks. With C.J. Miles and Gordon Hayward locked in for the Jazz, Bell's role will be minimal even if he does return before the regular season ends. |
