Raja Bell (knee) will be active for Wednesday's game against the Suns.
Bell had a precautionary MRI taken, but nothing out of the ordinary was found. He's moved past his blow-up with coach Tyrone Corbin and appears likely to stick in the starting five for now. Bell is averaging 6.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in his 31 starts this season.

Tue Mar 13 201202:19Bell (knee) returns to action on Monday
Raja Bell (knee) returned to action on Monday, scoring one point with four rebounds in 27 minutes.
Bell tweaked his knee during the game but returned and finished the game. He also made up with Ty Corbin before the game, or at least made enough headway to return to the starting lineup. Bell is not a fantasy option.

Mon Mar 12 201219:58Bell (knee) will start on Monday vs. Pistons
Raja Bell (knee) will start in Monday's game against the Pistons.
This is actually not so bad news for Gordon Hayward, who had gotten more touches with the second unit and been generally productive. Devin Harris (knee) will also start.

Mon Mar 12 201215:05Raja Bell won't be suspended
Raja Bell will not be suspended following his dust-up with coach Tyrone Corbin.
Bell's private meeting with Corbin and GM Kevin O'Connor went smoothly, but the veteran's status for Monday's game against the Pistons is unclear. Gordon Hayward and Josh Howard are expected to start on the wings and Bell is dealing with knee soreness.

Mon Mar 12 201210:46Raja Bell set for sitdown with Jazz
Raja Bell will have a discussion with team management Monday.
Bell is clashing with coach Tyron Corbin and was benched on Saturday. He'll meet with GM Kevin O'Connor, Corbin and other front-office people before Monday's game against the Pistons. We'd expect an amicable resolution, but it's unclear if Bell will start. Gordon Hayward, Josh Howard and C.J. Miles all get a little more room to spread their wings when Bell is out.

Sun Mar 11 201216:25Raja Bell's 'internal matter' explained
According to beat writer Brian Smith, a confrontation with head coach Tyrone Corbin was what led to the "internal matter" that kept Raja Bell out of Saturday's game against the Bulls.
Jazz General Manager Kevin O'Connor said Sunday that he wants to meet privately with Bell before he can return to the court. However, it sounds like this issue will soon blow over, so Bell should be back sooner rather than later.

Sat Mar 10 201215:55Raja Bell out Saturday due to internal matter
Raja Bell will not be with the Jazz on Saturday due to an "internal matter."
The Jazz have yet to specify exactly what the problem is, but in Bell's absence they'll give more run to Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks and C.J. Miles. It's not immediately clear which of those guys will move into the starting SG job.

Raja Bell (adductor) returned to action on Monday, scoring two points on 1-of-3 shooting with two rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.
Bell will do more to take fantasy value away from others than he will do for himself. He belongs on the waiver wire in the vast majority of formats.

Mon Mar 5 201211:06Raja Bell expected to start Monday
Raja Bell (adductor) is expected to start at shooting guard in Monday's game against the Cavs.
The Jazz are sticking with Josh Howard in the starting five, so Gordon Hayward is the one headed to the bench. However, Bell is a starter thanks mostly to his defensive abilities. In 27 starts earlier this year, he's averaging just 7.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Sat Mar 3 201219:48Raja Bell (groin) expected to play Monday
As expected, Raja Bell (strained left adductor) will not play on Saturday in Dallas.
Bell is tentatively expected to play in Monday's road game in Cleveland. He doesn't provide fantasy value, but owners should be aware that he might bump Gordon Hayward or Josh Howard to the bench.

Fri Mar 2 201220:09Corbin doesn't think Bell will play on Sat
Coach Ty Corbin doesn't believe that Raja Bell (adductor) will play on Saturday against the Mavs.
Corbin says this because it's "been a long time since he's played," so there's some wiggle room there, but we're guessing he has a pretty good pulse on the situation. Corbin also added that he's still considering a lineup change that sends Gordon Hayward to the bench, which might actually be a good thing for him since the first-team offense wastes his versatility dumping the ball into the post so much. Josh Howard would start next to Bell in that scenario.

Fri Mar 2 201213:08Raja Bell ruled out again for Friday's game
Raja Bell (adductor) won't play on Friday against the Heat.
Bell had previously been targeting Friday for his return, but he's still not ready quite yet. C.J. Miles, Gordon Hayward and Josh Howard should all see a slight increase in minutes to make up for Bell's absence.

Raja Bell (adductor) is targeting Friday's game against the Heat for his return.
Bell's role upon his return is unclear. Josh Howard appears locked into a starting gig and C.J. Miles is coming off his best game of the season. Bell figures to be eased in after missing four straight games.

Wed Feb 29 201215:38Raja Bell (groin) doubtful to play Wednesday
Raja Bell (adductor) is not expected to play on Wednesday.
The veteran SG can't shake this nagging injury, and even as a starter he hasn't provided reliable fantasy value this year. In his absence Josh Howard is a much more appealing play, with C.J. Miles and Alec Burks also getting a bit more action.

Raja Bell (adductor) will not play on Tuesday, and Josh Howard will start in his place.

Raja Bell (adductor) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Kings.
Bell strained his left adductor on Feb. 19 and it still isn't fully healed. In the meantime, coach Tyrone Corbin publicly said he's strongly considering starting Josh Howard over Bell permanently. The arrow is pointing down here.

Mon Feb 20 201220:00Bell (adductor) out Monday; Howard to start
Raja Bell (strained right adductor) will not play on Monday and Josh Howard is starting in his place.
Howard could be a sneaky play over the next two games so give him a look, while Gordon Hayward is all-but expected to bounce back with Bell out. C.J. Miles will battle Howard to be the beneficiary of Bell's injury, and it's unclear now if Bell will miss Wednesday's game. If there's any question about Bell's status, we expect him to sit.

Mon Feb 20 201201:00Raja Bell (groin) game-time for Monday
Raja Bell (strained right adductor) left Sunday's game late in the fourth quarter and will be a game-time decision vs. the Spurs on Monday.
Bell said he "tweaked" his groin and it sounds like the same issue that he dealt with at the end of January. He didn't seem too concerned, but we imagine Utah will be cautious with their veteran SG. If he sits out, Alec Burks, C.J. Miles and Josh Howard all stand to see more action.
