Early will be reassigned to the D-League in advance of Friday's game, Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal reports.

Early is expected to join Westchester for Friday's matchup with Delaware, and he could also play in Saturday's game against Maine. The rookie out of Wichita State has appeared in only three of the Knicks' last nine games.

He was an asset to the summer-league squad and fit in nicely on the wing. Early doesn't put the ball on the floor a lot, so he'll really have to work on his shot from distance in order to make a significant impact. He'll make the team, though.

He was having a blast on the court and was even doing some flashy dunks in layup lines to start the game. Early really embraced getting in the open floor and also had some nice buckets in half-court sets. It's early -- no pun intended -- but the Knicks look like they got a great pick in the second round. He's still not on the radar in most fantasy leagues, though.
