Mon Dec 27 202111:34De'Aaron Fox Returns With Butter Fingers
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox ended a four-game absence with a 12-point performance on Sunday against Memphis and recorded seven turnovers in 30 minutes. He shot 5-for-12 from the field without any successful three-point attempts and dished out five assists while grabbing three rebounds. Fox had averaged just 1.4 turnovers per game for the month prior to Sunday. He started alongside Tyrese Haliburton, who saw his four-game double-double streak end, but the 21-year-old still produced a solid 18-5-7 line with three steals and one block. The duo meets the Thunder next, which is going to be a difficult matchup, as OKC has done a good job defensively against opposing guards.

Sun Dec 26 202117:57De'Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III Ready To Play
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox and forward/center Marvin Bagley III have cleared health and safety protocols, meaning they are available for Sunday's contest against Memphis. Fox is back in the starting unit and will make his first appearance since Dec. 15. Tyrese Haliburton has been crushing it with Fox unavailable and his fantasy stock takes a hit, although the young guard will still play an active role and won't fall off the map completely. The two have also had some fine games together as the starting backcourt. Bagley III recently found his way out of the coach's doghouse and will eat into the minutes of Chimezie Metu and Tristan Thompson.

Sat Dec 25 202120:55De'Aaron Fox Questionable For Sunday
Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is getting closer to a return after being sidelined due to health and safety protocols. Tyrese Haliburton will lose the most value from the return of Fox. He has been playing extremely well with Fox sidelined. Haliburton would still be worth rostering, but would certainly take a hit with Fox on the court. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Sunday for another update.

Thu Dec 16 202118:24De'Aaron Fox Has Entered League's Health And Safety Protocols
Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox is one of many Sacramento players expected to be moved into the league's health and safety protocols. The Kings already have several players and staff members in the league's protocols, and they are expected to have more reported. This is a huge blow to the team, but unfortunately they will likely have to play through it. For now, Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell should see an increased workload, barring any additional reported cases.

Mon Dec 13 202122:32De'Aaron Fox Scores Game-High 29 During Loss On Monday
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox logged a game-high 29 points during a 124-101 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday. The 24-year-old shot 11-for-20 from the field, including 1-for-5 from deep, and 6-for-7 from the line. The Kentucky product also poured in two rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two turnovers across 32 minutes. Fox has had a subpar season through 28 games, averaging 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 triples on 44.6% shooting from the field, a brutal 26.8% from behind the arc, and 74.7% from the line. The guard has regressed in virtually every category since his breakout campaign last season and represents an intriguing buy-low option before he starts to turn the corner.

Thu Nov 18 202110:34De'Aaron Fox Continues His Scoring Resurgence
In Wednesday's 107-97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox continued to turn around his scoring in the 2021-22 campaign. The 23-year old struggled mightily in October, but he's now scored at least 19 points in six of his nine November games. Fox played 37 minutes during Wednesday's contest and scored 28 points on 10-for-20 shooting, with five assists, two three-pointers, and a rebound. Outside of the points, it was an empty box score for the fifth-year player. His assists average (6.2) is the lowest since his rookie season, but hopefully, that will come around like his scoring. Fox is a hold for now as Sacramento may have a new captain at the helm any day now, and it may revitalize Fox and the rest of the Kings.

Thu Nov 11 202100:00De'Aaron Fox Scores Game-High 37 In Loss To Spurs
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox erupted for 37 points during a 136-117 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. The 23-year-old put together his best performance of the young season, snagging two rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and one steal on 14-for-24 shooting, including 2-for-5 from three-point range, and 7-for-8 from the charity stripe. The Kentucky product has had a rough start to the 2021-22 campaign, shooting under 40% from the field and under 30% from three-point range while scoring below 20 points per game. Wednesday's performance was a step in the right direction, and Fox remains a buy-low candidate before he stabilizes back into an efficient stud for Sacramento.

Tue Nov 9 202108:25De'Aaron Fox Has 24 Points In A Losing Effort
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox shot 8-for-19 from the field and 7-for-11 at the line en route to 24 points in Monday's loss to the Suns. He picked up four rebounds with five assists and added three steals and three blocks to his line with five turnovers in 35 minutes. This was a huge defensive effort from Fox but his shooting could've been a lot better. On paper, Fox has a very tough matchup next against Dejounte Murray and the Spurs, however, San Antonio has actually allowed the seventh-most points per 48 minutes to point guards this season, so Fox should have a decent chance of posting back-to-back 20-point games for the first time this season.

Mon Nov 1 202106:14De'Aaron Fox Continues Quiet Start To New Season
In a 105-99 loss to Dallas, Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox continued his puzzling start to the 2021-22 NBA season. On Sunday, the 23-year old recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and one three-pointer in a season-high 39 minutes. It feels like fantasy managers have been waiting several years for Fox to make the superstar leap, but it still isn't coming. He's only topped 20 points in two of six contests this season, and his 6.3 assists per game are the lowest since his rookie campaign. Sacramento plays four games in Week 3, so Fox is still worth starting in weekly lineup leagues. However, with Utah on the schedule to begin the week, he shouldn't be in your DFS lineups until he puts it together more consistently.

Sat Oct 30 202106:45De'Aaron Fox Produces A 23-7-5 Line Friday Night
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox scored a team-high 23 points and picked up seven rebounds with five assists in Friday's 113-109 road victory at New Orleans. The 23-year-old led the charge, although he struggled from downtown with a 1-for-7 record and ended up shooting only 9-for-21 from the field. Fox also had four turnovers in the game. The Kentucky product had a very impressive season last term, but he's fallen way short of the same form in 2021-22. However, it's still early in the campaign and there's plenty of time for Fox to turn it around. He has a chance to shine against Luka Doncic next in a matchup versus Dallas. Fox produced a superb 30-point, 12-assist outing in his only appearance against the Mavericks last season.

Tue Nov 24 202018:12Heat, Adebayo agree on five-year, $163 million extension
MIAMI (AP) — Bam Adebayo came to the NBA with the goal of providing for his mother and changing her life. His first contract took care of that. And the way he sees it, his next contract sets his family up for generations. Adebayo and the Miami Heat agreed on a five-year extension that will be worth at least $163 million, the team and Adebayo's agent Alex Saratsis said Tuesday. The contract has not been signed and won't be until Adebayo completes a physical, something that is likely to occur in the next few days. It will be the richest contract in terms of total value in Heat history. “This is an accomplishment I always wanted to get," Adebayo said. “Just being able to reach this milestone and being able to generationally change my family's life and also take care of the people around me, it's a big deal to me." Adebayo will make $5.1 million this season, the final year of his rookie contract. From there, the extension will kick in with a starting salary of somewhere around $28.1 million... [More]
Tue Nov 24 202016:12Heat, Adebayo agree on five-year, $163 million extension
MIAMI (AP) — Bam Adebayo once worried about money. Never again. Adebayo will make $5.1 million this season, the final year of his rookie contract. From there, the extension will kick in with a starting salary of somewhere around $28.1 million for the 2021-22 season. And if he makes an All-NBA team this season, something he narrowly missed doing this past season, his annual salary would only rise more. Adebayo was expected to speak about the extension later Tuesday night at a charity event he is hosting. The Heat had until Dec. 21 to agree with Adebayo on an extension this season, or else would have had to table the matter until next summer. Miami has said the team's intention was to give Adebayo... Tue Nov 24 202014:32Heat say they are working with Adebayo to finalize extension
MIAMI (AP) — Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat are working on a contract extension, the team said Tuesday. Once the deal is finalized, Adebayo — when factoring in his current salary — would be guaranteed at least $168 million over the next six seasons and perhaps as much as $200 million in that span. The Heat had until Dec. 21 to agree with Adebayo on an extension this season, or else would have had to table the matter until next summer. Miami has said the team's intention was to give Adebayo a new deal — the question was only when. By waiting until next summer, the Heat would have had more salary-cap flexibility. Adebayo is coming off, by far, the best season... [More]
Tue Jan 28 202017:46Reeling Timberwolves try to pivot away from record collapse
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves coach Ryan Saunders was eager to work after a restless night, a lack of sleep that was not attributable to the nocturnal habits of his 7-month-old son.His team was the cause after a late-game collapse so stunning it's all but destined to serve as the defining moment of the season no matter what else comes down the stretch.“We put ourselves in the history books for the wrong reason," said star center Karl-Anthony Towns, who has not been on the floor for a victory since Nov. 27.The Timberwolves lost a 17-point lead on Sacramento on Monday with just 2:49 left in regulation, proceeding to lose 133-129 to the Kings in overtime. According to ESPN research, this was the first time in 8,379 games — since the tracking of NBA play-by-play data began with the 1996-97 season — that a team trailing by 17 or more points in the final three minutes had rallied to win.“Trust me, I understand, especially as a Minnesota fan, a game like last night hurts. It does.... [More]
