Boozer was instrumental in the Lakers' comeback, scoring 19 points (6-12 FG, 7-7 FT) while grabbing nine rebounds, adding one assist, one steal and a whopping six steals Sunday in the victory over the Utah Jazz. |
Boozer is being undervalued in a lot of drafts and can be a very valuable source of points and rebounds late in drafts. This preseason, Boozer has also yet to miss a free throw, converting on all 16 attempts so far. The six steals are likely an anomaly and won't be something the veteran big man can be relied upon for, but his value is still steady in the latter rounds of drafts. |

Boozer led the Lakers' starters with 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-2 FT) and also pulled down four rebounds in just 17 minutes in the Lakers' demolition at the hands of the Warriors on Sunday. |
Boozer is likely the opening day starter at power forward for coach Byron Scott and will be a nice source of points and rebounds in the draft's latter rounds. He'll have rookie Julius Randle breathing down his neck, but coach Scott has mentioned a proclivity for playing veterans and making rookies earn their stripes. |

Boozer is currently coach Byron Scott's choice as the starter at power forward, the Los Angeles Daily News reports. |
Boozer suffered through one of the worst seasons of his career last season in Chicago, and will be looking to bounce back in his new surrounds. With top 10 draft choice Julius Randle waiting in the wings, it's unlikely Boozer plays an excessive amount of minutes, but with the Lakers' lack of offensive options ,he could be a valuable late-round source of points and rebounds. |

Boozer appears to the frontrunner to be the starter at power forward on opening night, NBA.com reports. |
Boozer is in the driver's seat to be the opening night starter at power forward, with rookie Julius Randle looking likely to come off the bench. Boozer played just 28 minutes per game last season in his worst performance since his rookie season and his fantasy value is limited to contributions in points and rebounds. |
Sun Jul 27 2014 | 16:11 | Report: Carlos Boozer 'penciled in' at SF |
The Lakers have Carlos Boozer "penciled in" as their starting small forward, according to beat writer Mike Bresnahan. |
This may be an errant report, as it's unsettling to imagine Boozer trying to defend small forwards on a nightly basis. The 32-year-old said that he "absolutely" views himself as a starter, and he's comfortable playing PF or C, so he should carve out a solid role one way or another. His scoring and rebounding make him a tolerable gamble in the late rounds. |

Fri Jul 25 2014 | 16:35 | Carlos Boozer feels he will be a starter |
Carlos Boozer said that he "absolutely" sees himself as a starter for the Lakers at his introductory press conference on Friday. |
Boozer will join a crowded frontcourt of Julius Randle, Ed Davis, and Jordan Hill, but it wouldn't be shocking to see him as a starter in LA. Things could change if the season progresses and the Lakers have a losing record, which could prompt the team to move in the direction of player development, but that's a discussion for another day. Boozer spent a lot of time on the bench during the fourth quarter last season in Chicago in favor of a better defender in Taj Gibson, but LA doesn't have that luxury, so it's possible Boozer sees an uptick in his minutes of 28.2 per game last season. Boozer looks like a late-round pick in standard leagues. |

Fri Jul 25 2014 | 13:51 | Carlos Boozer says he's comfortable at center |
Carlos Boozer said on Friday that he's comfortable playing power forward or center. |
Based on last season, he doesn't bode well as a center at all. On defense he allowed his man to shoot a combined 52.0 percent on post-ups and as the pick-and-roll roll man. On the other hand, Boozer shot just 38.3 percent in those situations on offense last year (stats per Synergy). He also had a career-low in rebounds per game while posting his second-lowest offensive rebounding rate in his career. The Lakers are going to have to come up with something at center because Jordan Hill isn't capable of playing more than 24 minutes over the course of a season. The 32-year-old Boozer is more of a late-round pick in standard leagues. |

Fri Jul 18 2014 | 11:52 | Carlos Boozer is ready for the next chapter |
Carlos Boozer took to Twitter on Friday to express his excitement to be joining the Lakers. |
"Feel Honored To Be Apart Of This Amazing Organization... Looking Forward To This Next Chapter!!!" Boozer wrote. Despite only getting 28 minutes a game with the Bulls last season, Boozer was able to provide serviceable numbers of 13.7 points, and 8.3 rebounds. It's possible that Boozer gets a larger minute allotment in LA with them being rather thin upfront, and he may be forced to spend some time at the center position. |

Thu Jul 17 2014 | 18:33 | Lakers win Carlos Boozer with bid of $3.25M |
The Lakers won the rights to Carlos Boozer with a high bid of $3.25 million, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. |
The Lakers will acquire Boozer's expiring contract, while Chicago will have to pay the remaining $13.6 million for 2014-2015. Boozer was amnestied by the Bulls on Tuesday, and now has a new home in Los Angeles. It appears to be a win-win for both teams as the Bulls cleared enough cap space to sign Pau Gasol, while the Lakers get a veteran big man and an expiring contract. |

Thu Jul 17 2014 | 17:15 | Lakers win amnesty auction for Carlos Boozer |
The Lakers have won the blind auction for the rights to claim the recently amnestied forward Carlos Boozer. |
Boozer was amnestied by the Bulls on Tuesday, collecting the $16.8M remaining on his contract. The Lakers were widely viewed as the big losers in free agency, failing to sign any noteworthy free agents, including Carmelo Anthony. Now it appears their consolation prize will be Boozer after they placed the highest bid in the blind auction to win the right to claim him. His fantasy value is still somewhat in question however, as he joins the loaded front court in L.A. that includes Ed Davis, Jordan Hill, and rookie Julius Randle. Even so, he should be able to at least reproduce his 13.8 points, and 8.3 rebounds he averaged last season in Chicago. |

Tue Jul 15 2014 | 17:02 | Bulls amnesty Carlos Boozer's $16.8M salary |
The Bulls waived Carlos Boozer via their amnesty provision on Tuesday, clearing his $16.8 million salary from their salary cap. |
This move has been long expected but the Bulls exhausted all possible trade scenarios before finally resorting to the amnesty provision. Boozer will earn the full $16.8 million and teams with salary-cap space can now bid for his services. If he lands in the right situation he may still return reliable fantasy value after a down season in Chicago last year. |

Wed Jul 2 2014 | 23:38 | Boozer not likely to be w/ Bulls this season |
Carlos Boozer has been told the Bulls that he will likely be amnesty waived or shipped out in a sign-and-trade, but a final decision hasn't been made. |
This will clear the way for Taj Gibson to become one of the league's most exciting power forwards, and even if Boozer somehow stays in Chicago, Gibson is nearly guaranteed the starting job next season. |

Sun Jun 22 2014 | 10:04 | Report: Knicks uninterested in Carlos Boozer |
The Knicks are reportedly not interested in conducting a sign-and-trade involving Carlos Boozer and Carmelo Anthony. |
Carlos Boozer has an expiring contract that will come off the books in 2015 to the tune of $16.8 million, but the Knicks are not interested in acquiring his services. Thus, if the Bulls hope to land Anthony they will likely need to go the route of free agency, which means ridding themselves of Boozer (via trade or amnesty) and probably having to also trade Taj Gibson for next to nothing. |

Wed Apr 30 2014 | 09:11 | Bulls hope to trade Carlos Boozer this summer |
The Bulls will do "everything they can" to trade Carlos Boozer rather than using their amnesty option this summer, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. |
Boozer is slated to earn $16.8 million in the final year of his contract in 2014-15 and he's still a productive offensive weapon at age 32, but his poor defense and Taj Gibson's rise have combined to nullify Boozer's value. If the Bulls fail to find a trade partner they can amnesty Boozer's contract from July 10-16. |

Fri Apr 25 2014 | 15:22 | Carlos Boozer more frustrated w/ playing time |
Carlos Boozer has become more angry with coach Tom Thibodeau about his lack of playing time down the stretch during the playoffs, according to the Chicago Sun Times. |
He didn't play at all in the fourth quarter or overtime in either game this series, so this isn't surprising. Taj Gibson has been outstanding down the stretch and chances are Thibodeau won't be caving on his rotation because Boozer is upset. The Bulls are down 0-2 and will try to earn a win on Friday night in Washington. |

Sun Apr 20 2014 | 21:53 | Carlos Boozer plays typical role in Game 1 |
Carlos Boozer played the first and third quarters on Sunday, as usual, finishing Game 1 with 11 points, nine rebounds and one assist. |
Boozer's role isn't likely to change in the postseason. He played exactly 24 minutes in all but two of the Bulls' final 17 regular season games, starting at PF before giving way to Taj Gibson in the second and fourth quarters. Gibson had another impressive game with 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes, and the Wizards had trouble keeping him off the offensive glass. |

Sun Apr 13 2014 | 22:06 | Carlos Boozer again plays exactly 24 minutes |
Carlos Boozer played exactly 24 minutes for the 11th straight game on Sunday. |
He scored eight points with seven rebounds and five assists, but his limited playing time has been a drag for fantasy owners all season. Tom Thibodeau likes to play Boozer for the entire first and third quarters, while pairing Joakim Noah with Taj Gibson in the third and fourth, and if nothing else Thibs has been incredibly consistent with his rotations. |

Thu Apr 10 2014 | 00:16 | Carlos Boozer disappears in easy win |
Carlos Boozer hit just 3-of-13 shots for six points and four rebounds in 24 minutes of Wednesday's win. |
Taj Gibson had 13 points, five boards, a steal and three blocks off the bench in the easy win, and Boozer has now played exactly 24 minutes in nine straight games. Of course, he didn't do anything with them, as Joakim Noah stole the show with his fourth triple-double of the season. |

Thu Apr 3 2014 | 09:24 | Carlos Boozer playing 24 minutes per game |
Carlos Boozer has played exactly 24 minutes in each of the Bulls' past six games. |
Boozer plays the entire first and third quarters before yielding to Taj Gibson, whose season average of 28.8 minutes per game is marginally higher than Boozer's 28.6. "He's rebounding well," coach Tom Thibodeau said of Boozer. "He's being aggressive early." The Bulls are rumored to have interest in amnestying Boozer's contract, which pays him $16.8 million next season, so there are no guarantees that he'll be in Chicago on opening day next year. |

Sat Mar 29 2014 | 01:04 | Carlos Boozer double-doubles in loss |
Carols Boozer scored 16 points on 8-of-15 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in Friday's loss to Portland. |
Boozer continued his bizarre platoon with Taj Gibson where Boozer starts and then Gibson usually plays more minutes. While both players double-doubled Friday night, Boozer ended up being more productive in less minutes as both he and Gibson remain solid starts in standard leagues despite the timeshare. |
