Sun May 23 201013:56Punto needs injection in injured finger
Nick Punto received an injection in a sore finger and will not be in the Twins' lineup Sunday.
Brendan Harris will cover for him at third base. The Twins are currently without their starting third baseman and starting shortstop, and second baseman Orlando Hudson is playing through a few dings of his own, so they're getting a little thin in the infield. Hopefully, with a day off today and a scheduled offday on Monday, Punto won't miss more than a game or two.

Sun Apr 25 201014:10Twins' utilityman to have labrum checked
The MRI of Nick Punto's injured groin came back clear, so doctors are checking his hip flexor for a possible labrum tear.
It would be a big blow for the Twins if they lost Punto for the year, though Brendan Harris has filled in admirably at third in his stead. Hopefully this is a perfunctory search that finds nothing, but if he is done, Brendan Harris becomes a good play in AL-only leagues.
