Tue Dec 13 2011 | 22:23 | Report: Indians in talks with INF Jose Lopez |
Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Indians have had "serious discussions" with free agent infielder Jose Lopez. |
Lopez, 28, batted just .216/.245/.372 with eight home runs, 21 RBI and a .617 OPS over 242 plate appearances this past season between the Rockies and Marlins. The Indians are looking for a right-handed bat to help balance their lefty-heavy lineup, but Lopez and his .294 career on-base percentage hardly qualifies as an improvement. |
