Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but it also includes a club option. The deal effectively buys out O'Day's final two years of arbitration and his first year of free agency. He was a major part of the O's bullpen in 2012, posting a stellar 2.28 ERA and 69/14 K/BB ratio over 67 innings. |

Darren O'Day requested $3.2 million and was offered $1.8 million by the Orioles when arbitration figures were exchanged Friday. |
O'Day is seeking a big raise from the $1.35 million he made last season after posting an excellent 2.28 ERA and 69/14 K/BB ratio over 67 innings. The two sides will likely meet somewhere closer to the $2.5 million midpoint. |
