Nolasco gave up two runs on seven hits across 7.2 innings in Monday's win over Boston.
Nolasco pitched very well on Monday as he struck out five batters without allowing a walk. Nolasco moved to 5-1 with the win to go along with a 5.12 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. He's had great run support all season which explains such a good record with such poor numbers. Nolasco will look to win number six against the Blue Jays at home in his next start.

Nolasco scattered 10 hits Tuesday and escaped with his fourth win of the season, allowing just three earned runs while walking one and fanning eight Twins.
His season-high eight strikeouts enabled him to surrender a season-high 10 hits while keeping his team in a manageable situation. Going deep into games has been a big issue for Nolasco so far this season as he has yet to make it out of the sixth inning in five starts, despite going over 90 pitches in each of his last three outings. He will have a difficult test in his next start Monday when the Twins host the Red Sox.

Nolasco (3-1) allowed two unearned runs on four hits and three walks with seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings in Wednesday's win over the Tigers.
He wasn't terribly efficient, needing 106 pitches to labor just into the sixth inning, but Nolasco did double his strikeout total from his first three starts of the year. Nonetheless, if you need to show someone an example of why wins and losses are deeply flawed stats, Nolasco's 3-1 record in combination with his 6.38 ERA offers you plentiful ammunition. He'll go for 4-1 against the Pirates on Tuesday.

Nolasco (2-1) got the win Thursday against Oakland despite allowing four runs on six hits over five innings. He struck out one and walked one.
That's consecutive wins now for Nolasco, but he's still managed to give up 13 runs in his 13 innings this year, and with his difficulty missing bats, it's hard to take this start as much of a step in a positive direction. Nolasco's penciled in to face the Tigers next week; Detroit lit him up for six runs in three innings in his first start of the year.

Nolasco picked up his first win of the season Saturday, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings, striking out four.
The Twins actually generated some offense on Saturday, allowing Nolasco to get the W in his first start since coming off the DL. He's not exactly reliable, but his next start is at home against the A's, which could be a decent matchup if you are strapped for options.

Nolasco (elbow) will be activated from the disabled list to start Saturday's game against the White Sox, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
It was previously believed that Nolasco would need another rehab start or two, but the Twins were pleased with his only outing, as the right-hander tossed five scoreless innings for Single-A Cedar Rapids on Sunday. Nolasco will replace Tommy Milone, who is now headed for a role in the bullpen.

Nolasco (elbow) will begin his rehab assignment next Saturday at Low-A Cedar Rapids next Saturday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Nolasco continues to work his way back from an elbow issue, but appears finally ready to go on a rehab assignment. He still remains a little ways from a return to the majors, but going on a rehab assignment is the final step.

Nolasco (elbow) is scheduled to throw off a mound on Sunday if everything continues to progress, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
He played long toss Wednesday and emerged without any setbacks, so things seem to be slowly moving along. If his session off a mound goes well, he could progress to a simulated game and then a rehab assignment in the minors. A return to the Twins' rotation sometime in May should be what owners are hoping for.
Wed Apr 15 201519:55Ricky Nolasco: (Elbow) Play Long Toss Wednesday
Nolasco (elbow) played long toss prior to Wednesday's game, and was able to emerge free of setbacks, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
Nolasco looks to be on the right track in his recovery from elbow soreness, but remains without a clear timetable for return. He'll likely need to complete a few successful bullpen sessions before seeing an opportunity to return to the starting rotation.
Mon Apr 13 201519:59Nolasco (elbow) plans to play catch Wednesday
Nolasco (elbow) plans to play catch Wednesday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The Twins will have to wait and see how Nolasco comes through Wednesday's activity, and most likely, a couple bullpen sessions to follow before determining if he'll be able to come off the disabled list late next week when eligible. Trevor May took the turn in place of Nolasco on Monday's home opener the Royals, serving up five runs over 5.1 innings in defeat.
Sat Apr 11 201511:48Nolasco (elbow) placed on DL, retroactive to April 9
Nolasco (elbow) has been placed on the DL, retroactive to April 9.
Nolasco will be replaced in the rotation by Trevor May. This is another hit against the Twins' rotation, which was already stretched thin after Ervin Santana's suspension. Nolasco will be eligible to return April 24.
Fri Apr 10 201511:32Nolasco (elbow) will likely be placed on disabled list
Nolasco (elbow) will likely be placed on the disabled list, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Nolasco felt something in his elbow during Wednesday's ugly start against the Tigers, and he then flew back to the Twin Cities to undergo an MRI. While results of the MRI are not yet publicly available, it's expected that Trevor May will replace Nolasco in the rotation.
Thu Apr 9 201511:01Ricky Nolasco: Flying To MN To Have Elbow Checked Out
Nolasco felt something in his elbow and flew back to the Twin Cities on Thursday to have it checked out, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
The elbow pain popped up during a pitch to Alex Avila in the third inning Wednesday. Last year he tried to pitch through pain like this, but apparently he has learned his lesson. Obviously this is pretty concerning, and the Twins have to be crossing their fingers as they are already down a starter (Ervin Santana) for half the season. Manager Paul Molitor said it was "way too early" to speculate whether Nolasco would make his scheduled start Monday.

Nolasco gave up six runs on six hits over three innings a loss to the Tigers on Wednesday.
After a pair of scoreless frames to start the outing, the Tigers chased Nolasco from the game during the fourth inning. In addition to getting knocked around, Nolasco also struggled with his control and issued four walks. He'll be considered as a streaming option in some leagues as a two-start pitcher next week, offering home matchups against the Royals (Monday) and Indians (April 19).

Nolasco gave up one run over five innings with six strikeouts and one walk in Tuesday's spring training win over Toronto. He lowered his spring ERA to 3.95 with a 13:3 K:BB ratio in 13.2 innings.
Nolasco struggled at the start of last season, posting a 5.90 ERA and .330 BAA before he landed on the DL in July with a sore right elbow. He was better when he returned in August, with a 4.39 ERA and 43:10 K:BB in 55.1 innings over the final two months. He says his elbow feels a noticeable improvement this spring. He's a bounce-back candidate, as along with improved health, he's coming off a career-high .351 BABIP and was a frequent victim of Minnesota's poor outfield defense.
