Oberg picked up his first career save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Phillies. He allowed a lone single in a scoreless ninth inning.
With John Axford having pitched the previous three days and Rafael Betancourt dealing with an illness heading into Sunday's series finale, it was anyone's guess who manager Walt Weiss would turn to if a save situation arose. The roulette wheel ended up settling on Oberg, who was able to navigate a relatively low-stress save chance without much consternation. The right-hander has been fairly competent across 19 appearances this season with a 4.15 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 13:3 K:BB ratio, but it's unlikely to result in him gaining a role of much consequence in the fantasy realm.

Oberg has been recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
With LaTroy Hawkins hitting the disabled list with biceps tendinitis, Oberg will rejoin the major league club in a corresponding move. Oberg has been up-and-down this season, being most recently sent down Monday after Jorge De La Rosa was activated off the disabled list.

Oberg was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Oberg struggled after being recalled last week, giving up five runs (three earned) over 2.2 innings of relief work. He'll likely head back to the Triple-A bullpen, and could be in line for another promotion whenever the big league club is in need of another arm. The Rockies activated Jorge De La Rosa off the disabled list in a corresponding move.

Oberg was touched up for five runs (three earned) while giving up four hits and a walk and recording just one out in Sunday's 7-0 loss to the Dodgers.
Oberg entered the game with the Rockies trailing by a 2-0 margin, but saw that defend hit seven runs after he surrendered homers to Howie Kendrick, Scott Van Slyke, and Joc Pederson. The dreadful performance could put him at risk for a demotion once John Axford (personal) returns from the restricted list.

Oberg was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, the Denver Post reports.
Oberg will serve as an extra bullpen arm while John Axford tends to a family medical emergency. To make room for Oberg on the 40-man roster, Charlie Culberson was moved to the 60-day DL. Look for Oberg's time in the majors to be short-lived.
Wed Apr 1 201521:00Oberg reassigned to minor league camp Wednesday
Oberg was reassigned to minor league camp Wednesday, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
Oberg will begin his fourth straight season in the minors, but if the 25-year-old continues to progress at the same pace, there's a chance he could see the big leagues by September. He did have a 12.15 ERA over a small spring sample size, but tossed scoreless outings in five of his first six appearances.
