Tyler Colvin will start against left-hander John Lannan and the Nationals on Monday.
Colvin was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI against the Brewers on Sunday and is batting .333 with three home runs and six RBI over his first 33 at-bats this season. His plate discipline is still a work in progress, but Cubs manager Lou Piniella will continue to play the hot hand.

Sun Apr 25 201017:12Cubs' Colvin homers, reaches three times
Tyler Colvin homered, drove in three runs, and reached base four times on Sunday.
Colvin hit an absolute monster solo shot off Brewers starter David Bush while also adding a two-run double, single, and walk. Colvin's always had the talent with the bat, but his solid 7/4 K/BB in 33 at-bats is a good, if not extremely small, sign that he's progressing as a hitter. With three homers already on the season, the Cubs are likely to try to find him as much playing time as possible.
Thu Apr 8 201022:01Colvin hits first carrer homer, Cubs win
Tyler Colvin hit his first career major league home run Thursday in the Cubs' defeat of the Braves.
Colvin got the nod in left field over Alfonso Soriano and charged a little excitement into the Cubs, who won their first game of the year. His starts will be rare and unpredictable, so he's not the best fantasy option, but Chicago is now on the board in the NL Central.
Thu Apr 8 201017:41Tyler Colvin starting in LF over Soriano
Tyler Colvin is starting in left field against the Braves Thursday.
Colvin, 24, enjoyed a massively successful spring training and was granted a spot on the Cubs' Opening Day roster despite the squad's crowded outfield mix. He won't get many starts, and thus isn't worth owning in one-year fantasy leagues, but he's an exciting youngster to keep an eye on. Alfonso Soriano, 2-for-8 thus far with one run and zero RBI, was given the day off.
