Headley smashed his seventh home run -- and the 100th of his career -- as part of a 2-for-5 night in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies.
Headley is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, having scored once in every game in that span as well. His numbers on the whole are a down from his average production, as he owns a slash line of just .256/.304/.376, but the third baseman has been showing signs of turning it around of late.

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday agains the Tigers.
Headley hasn't received a day off since May 13, so the timing was likely right for a regular maintenance day, despite logging a multi-hit game in two of the last three contests. Brendan Ryan will take over at the hot corner, while Didi Gregorius bats second in the order.

Headley continues to hit out of the two-hole with Jacoby Ellsbury on the disabled list and Brett Gardner bumped up to the leadoff spot. Headley (groin) is in the lineup hitting second Saturday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.
He left Friday's game in the fifth inning after a bad hop on a grounder caught him in the groin area. However, it seems like a minor issue and he should be considered healthy moving forward.

Headley took a bad-hop groundball to the groin area in the third inning. He remained in the game at the time, but was replaced in the fifth inning by Brendan Ryan. There was no indication that he suffered an injury that could cost him some time, but daily league players may want to check his status for Saturday's game.

Headley went 3-for-4 with a homer run and three RBI in Monday's 14-1 win over Kansas City.
The homer, Headley's sixth of the season, was one of three the Yankees hit off Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie in the first inning. Headley was batting out of the two-hole for the second straight day, and he may continue to see regular time there while Jacoby Ellsbury (knee) is sidelined.

Headley went 1-for-5 Saturday with a three-run blast, his fifth home run of the season.
The power is nice, but Headley continues to struggle when it comes to making contact, and he's followed up a .232/.284/.390 April with a .222/.271/.370 slash line in 54 May at-bats.

Wed May 13 201511:40Headley 1-4 with two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to Rays
Headley went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.
Headley's output this season more closely resembles the totals he put in the first half of 2014 before getting traded midseason, as he's slashing just .234/.284/.379. The Yankees were hoping he could continue his hot second half when they re-signed him over the offseason, but Headley has at least flashed decent power, hitting four home runs to go along with four doubles and a triple.

Headley (back) is in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Meredith Marakovits of the YES Network reports.
Headley sat out Tuesday's game due to a sore back, but he will return to action Wednesday night. Headley will man the hot corner as he usually does and hit seventh against Blue Jay starter Mark Buehrle.
Wed May 6 201510:22Headley wasn't available Tuesday due to sore back
Headley wasn't available Tuesday due to a sore back, The Westchester Journal News reports.
Gregorio Petit got the start at third, but after suffering an injury of his own, the Yankees elected to put Alex Rodriguez in as his replacement rather than Headley. It doesn't appear to be anything more than a minor issue, and Headley appears set to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game, but it could be a situation worth monitoring if he's held out again.
Tue May 5 201516:10Headley out of lineup for Tuesday's game against Blue Jays
Headley is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Headley is likely just getting a rare day off, allowing Gregorio Petit to start at the hot corner. Headley has now started 24-of-27 games at third base this season.
Mon Apr 27 201515:33Headley not in lineup Monday against Rays
Headley is not in the lineup Monday against the Rays.
Headley has been given just one day off thus far this season, so it appears manager Joe Girardi is just giving his third baseman a regular rest day. Alex Rodriguez will take over at third, batting third in his stead as Carlos Beltran will fill in at designated hitter.
Sat Apr 25 201510:37Headley 1-4 with single in Friday's win over Mets
Headley went 1-for-4 with a single in Friday's win over the Mets.
Headley has gotten off to a bit of a slow start as he's slashing just .242/.306/.379 in 17 games. He's launched two homers, but each came in the opening week, leaving the third baseman with just a pair of extra base hits in the following two weeks. Headley's slash line is similar to his 2014 output, but his numbers improved after the Yankees acquired him mid-season, and were hopeful that he could benefit from a full season playing at Yankee Stadium.

Headley will bat second Tuesday against the Orioles, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.
X-rays on Brett Gardner's wrist were negative, but the outfielder will miss at least one start and it will be Headley who jumps up to fill his spot in the batting order. Headley has struck out all three times he's faced right-hander Miguel Gonzalez, Tuesday's starter for Baltimore.

Headley is hitting 2-for-11 with no extra base hits after his first series against the Blue Jays.
The 30-year-old's $52 contract seemed like a low reward for New York and this doesn't do anything to change that. If the Yankees want to rotate more players in at DH and Alex Rodriguez starts hitting, Headley's everyday role could be in trouble.

Headley is hitting .313/.371/.563 with two home runs in 12 games of Grapefruit League action.
Headley re-upped with the Yankees in December despite the return from suspension of Alex Rodriguez, and since then the 30-year-old has been treated as the everyday third baseman. The team will likely try to get Rodriguez some extra at bats by occasionally playing him at the hot corner, but Headley should once again be a safe bet to be the regular option there. The switch hitter experienced an uptick in his production after getting traded midseason last year, slashing .262/.371/.398 in the Bronx, and will likely benefit from a full season in a hitter-friendly park.
Mon Dec 15 201411:10Chase Headley: Signs 4-Year, $52 Million Deal With Yankees
Headley has signed a 4-year, $52-million deal with the Yankees, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
While he probably won't put up a .371 on-base percentage with the Yankees again this season, Headley should still be valuable long-term for them thanks to his defense. The 30-year-old's offense will likely continue to diminish though; his batting average has gone down every year since 2011. This will likely displace the returning Alex Rodriguez to more of a DH/back-up third base situation.
