Wada will in fact start Saturday's game against the Brewers, MLB.com's Aaron Leibowitz reports.
The Cubs were expected to shut down Wada for the season following his Sept. 18 start against the Dodgers, but manager Rick Renteria ended up reserving course, moving Edwin Jackson back to the bullpen to allow the lefty to make one more start. Wada will look to put the finishing touches on his excellent second-half showing with the Cubs, as he carries a 4-3 record, 3.22 ERA and 1.19 WHIP into Saturday's outing.

Wada will not pitch again this season, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
Wada allowed just one run on five hits over five innings of work, also striking out five in his final start Thursday, but didn't pick up a decision. He hasn't gone further than five innings in any of his last three starts, and was dealing with a calf issue, though neither are likely related to his early shutdown.

Wada did not factor in Thursday's decision against the Dodgers, but pitched effectively, allowing just one run and five hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out five.
Wada was in line to pick up the win, but the Dodgers rallied for five runs in the seventh inning. He bounced back nicely after struggling in his previous two starts, although one of them was shortened due to a calf cramp. The crafty lefty has been reliable in general this season, and will make his final start next week against St. Louis.

Wada labored through 4.1 innings, giving up four earned runs on nine hits and two walks while recording a couple of strikeouts in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Pirates.
This effort was certainly a bit discouraging, as Wada came in sporting an impressive 2.54 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB ratio over his previous 46 innings. The 33-year-old native of Japan has mostly been a steady presence in the Cubs' rotation here in the second half of 2014 and will look to get back on track Thursday versus the Dodgers.
Fri Sep 12 201416:20Wada (calf) confirmed as Friday's starter against Pirates
Wada (calf) has been confirmed as Friday's starter against the Pirates.
Wada's last start was cut short after 3.1 innings due to a calf cramp, but there was never any indication that he was in danger of missing his next turn. The lefty had turned in quality starts in four of his last five outings prior to the abbreviated start last week.
Fri Sep 5 201416:00Tsuyoshi Wada: Leaves With Unspecified Injury
Wada left Friday's game midway through the fourth inning with an apparent injury, the Daily Herald's Bruce Miles reports.
The training staff went out to the mound and after examining Wada, he was removed from the game after giving up two runs on three hits and a walk in 3.1 innings. His velocity had dipped a bit, and beat writers were speculating that he wasn't using his lower half as much in the fourth inning, but there's no official word on the exact injury yet.

Wada allowed three earned runs and gave up five hits and three walks, while striking out three in six innings Saturday against the Cardinals, to pick up the loss.

Wada (3-1) blanked the Giants over five innings Tuesday, earning the victory when the game was called on account of rain following the top of the fifth inning. He struck out three batters and gave up six hits and no walks.
Wada scored a cheap complete-game shutout after a downpour in the fifth inning resulted in a four-hour, 34-minute delay before the grounds crew deemed the field unplayable. He's cruised to wins in three straight games, and in tandem with fellow starter Kyle Hendricks, Wada has done an admirable job of replacing Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel in the team's rotation.

Wada turned in another nice effort, surrendering two earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six across a half-dozen frames versus the Rays on Friday afternoon.
Now five starts into his MLB career, Wada has put up mostly solid results since being called up from Triple-A Iowa back on July 8. Across 27.2 innings for the Cubs, the 33-year-old southpaw from Japan has posted a 3.25 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 8.1 K/9. Wada is slated to be back on the mound Wednesday against the Brewers.

Wada allowed two runs on six hits, walking two and striking out six over 5.2 innings against the Dodgers on Saturday. He didn't factor into the decision.
Both runs came on one swing, a Matt Kemp two-run home run. Wada has now pitched well in three of his four starts this season, going 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and a 19:8 K:BB ratio. He'll go up against the Rays in his next scheduled start.
Mon Jul 28 201423:41Tsuyoshi Wada earns victory over Rockies
Tsuyoshi Wada allowed just one run over seven innings to beat the Rockies on Monday.
Well, technically it was the Rockies, though it's little more than a skeleton crew at the moment. Wada allowed five hits, walked one and struck out six in a much better outing than the one he had last week against the Padres. He's still a weak play in NL-only leagues right now.

Thu Jul 24 201401:17Tsuyoshi Wada gives up five runs to Padres
Tsuyoshi Wada took a loss Wednesday after giving up five runs in four innings versus the Padres.
The Padres had scored six runs in six games coming into this one, making Wada's performance even more discouraging. He's certainly not going to miss enough bats to afford the four walks he issued tonight. If he's not better next time out against the Rockies, he could be looking at a quick hook from the Cubs rotation.

Wed Jul 9 201400:00Wada allows one run over five in MLB debut
Tsuyoshi Wada, making his major league debut, allowed only an unearned run over five innings but took a no-decision against the Reds in Tuesday's nightcap.
The 33-year-old gave up five hits and a walk in his debut, with the only run coming on a Junior Lake fielding error. He's been very good at Triple-A this year and with the Cubs recently dealing 40 percent of their starting rotation, it wouldn't be surprising to see Wada stick around to start the second half. The left-hander may be worth a look in NL-only leagues, but that's as far as his value extends currently.

Cubs recalled LHP Tsuyoshi Wada from Triple-A Iowa.
Wada will come up to start the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Reds, which will be his major league debut. The 33-year-old southpaw has posted a 2.66 ERA and 105/26 K/BB ratio in 101 2/3 innings this season in Triple-A. There's opportunity in the Cubs' rotation right now, so a strong performance could keep him around or at least put him in the mix during the second half.

Sun Jun 22 201414:14Tsuyoshi Wada added to 40-man roster
Cubs purchased the contract of LHP Tsuyoshi Wada from Triple-A Iowa; optioned him to Triple-A Iowa.
The Cubs needed to add Wada to the 40-man roster in order to prevent him from exercising an opt-out clause in his contract. The left-hander boasts a 2.81 ERA with 83 strikeouts over 86 1/3 innings at Iowa this season and seems likely to get a chance next month with the Cubs likely to trade Jeff Samardzija and/or Jason Hammel.
