Sanchez is out of Sunday's lineup against the Mariners, Doug Padilla of ESPN Chicago reports.

Sanchez has really taken off in the second half, batting .297/.329/.446 after the All-Star break. He will take the day off Sunday, however, with Gordon Beckham replacing him at second base and batting eighth for the White Sox.

Sanchez was running wild on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, four RBI and two runs scored in an 11-4 win over the Mariners.

Sanchez has found a nice role with the White Sox as he has been regularly starting at second and third. He now has 19 doubles and a surprising .626 OPS for a player who seemed to have no power coming into the majors.

Sanchez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Gordon Beckham will get the nod at second base Wednesday against Andrew Heaney, as Sanchez sits after starting 36 of the team's last 37 games. The switch-hitting Sanchez has enjoyed very little success from the right side of the plate (.148/.193/.204 vs LHP), so it would make sense if his opportunities against left-handed pitching were scaled back moving forward.

Sanchez went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season Saturday.

Sanchez was never a big power bat in the minors, so it should not be much of a surprise that it took him 200+ plate appearances to hit his first home run of the season. Sanchez's bat has begun to turn around of late, as he has notched a hit in eight of nine games since the All-Star break, going 11-for-29 (.379) over that stretch. Micah Johnson continues to excel at Triple-A Charlotte, but Sanchez continues to fend him off.

Sanchez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, ESPN Chicago's Doug Padilla reports.

The switch-hitting Sanchez has been awful from both sides of the plate this season, but he's been particularly brutal against lefties this season, going 3-for-26 with a walk in his 27 plate appearances. With southpaw David Price on the mound for the Tigers, the White Sox will bench Sanchez in favor of Emilio Bonifacio with the hope of extracting more offense.

Sanchez is not in the lineup against the Pirates on Thursday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Sanchez has started the last six games, but he'll get the night off as Gordon Beckham slides over to second base. Beckham will hit ninth against Pirates' starter Gerrit Cole.

Sanchez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Make it two straight on the bench for Sanchez, who is batting .145/.205/.184 in 85 plate appearances with the big club this season. Emilio Bonifacio will get the nod again at second base but jump to the two-hole against Vincent Velasquez with Alexei Ramirez also out of the lineup.

Sanchez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, the Daryl Can Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Sanchez has received most of the playing time at second base since his May 15 call-up despite owning a dismal .145/.205/.184 slash line for the season. He also has an ugly 20:3 K:BB ratio, and he's yet to hit a home run or steal a base through 76 at-bats. Emilio Bonifacio will start at second base Tuesday, but Micah Johnson looms as the greater threat to Sanchez's job security.

Sanchez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts against the Astros on Monday to drop his batting average to .145 through 85 plate appearances.

Sanchez is now just 1-for-22 in June, and he has 19 strikeouts in 73 at-bats since his May 15 recall. Sanchez's glove has been fantastic at second, but one has to wonder how long manager Robin Ventura can keep his bat (or lack thereof) in a scuffling lineup. Micah Johnson has a .329 on-base percentage and six steals for Triple-A Charlotte since trading roster spots with Sanchez.

Sanchez is not in the lineup against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Sanchez will receive the day off as the Sox go with Emilio Bonifacio at second base. Bonifacio will bat ninth against Toronto starter Drew Hutchison.

Sanchez has started in all six games since being recalled, but has seen his average drop to .208 in that span. He's still the primary option at the keystone, so this is likely just a regular day off, as Emilio Bonifacio will assume the second base duties Thursday.

He now as a hit in three of the four games since the White Sox promoted him from Triple-A Charlotte, but none of those games have been multi-hit affairs. Still, as long as he hits something, his glove should keep him at second base.

The White Sox optioned Micah Johnson to Triple-A on Thursday and are yet to announce a corresponding move. Sanchez is the obvious candidate after battling for the second base job with Johnson in camp. While Sanchez is an inferior hitter to Johnson, he's an upgrade on defense.

Sanchez went 2-for-5 against Triple-A Scranton Willkes-Barres on Sunday, and he is now hitting .402/.432/.582 in 91 at-bats at Charlotte.

Sanchez lost out to Micah Johnson for the White Sox's starting second base gig in spring training, and there was little room for him to serve in a utility role with Gordon Beckham and Emilio Bonifacio both serving in that capacity. However, Sanchez has been on fire since his mid-April demotion, while Johnson is hitting .246 for the White Sox and has done little on the basepaths. The two could swap at some point if both trends continue.
