Sun Jun 19 201120:01Paul Konerko homers in third straight game
Paul Konerko homered for the third straight game in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks.
What wrist issue? Konerko now has 19 homers on the season and is hitting .425 with eight dingers in June alone. This comes one season after Konerko had a career-season at age 34, a campaign that seemed impossible to repeat. But now that Konerko is raking at career-best levels once again through 70 games this year, it's clear there's nothing fluky going on here.

Sun Jun 12 201109:04Paul Konerko could need more surgery
Paul Konerko conceded that he might need an additional procedure on his left wrist at some point.
Konerko had surgery a week ago to dislodge a bone fragment in the wrist. He's feeling good now, but if the fragment moves, he might have to get cut open again. ``I felt soreness for a few days afterward, but it's been eight days now, and the -soreness is gone,'' he said. ``It depends on the fragment. If it moves to a different spot where it would bother me, they might have to go in. I hope it stays [where it is].''

Paul Konerko had minor surgery on his left wrist Friday to remove a loose fragment.

Konerko admitted in early May that he was having problems with the wrist but said that it's something that's bothered him for years and he's been able to play with. Adam Dunn is starting at first base Friday.
