Making a very strong impression, Taveras has two homers, two doubles and eight RBI in 27 at-bats for the Cardinals this spring. It's hard to see how the Cardinals would fit him on the roster if the rest of their outfielders are healthy, but he's demonstrating that he could be a major force once he gets his chance. | ||||||

Sure, Carlos Beltran could use a day off every week, but Matt Holliday doesn't, and since both Jon Jay and Taveras are left-handed hitters, there's no easy way for them to share center. | ||||||
