"He's been buried on that roster in a big ballpark, and if you take him out of there, he may break out. He's someone you'd take a chance on." Carp is batting just .216/.316/.346 in an injury-shortened season this year, but he slugged .466 for the M's last year and also mashed at Triple-A in 2010 and 2011.
