Rockies optioned LHPs Tyler Matzek, Jayson Aquino, and Kraig Sitton, RHP RHP Raul Fernandez, and INF Rosell Herrera to minor league camp.

Matzek allowed just one run and struck out seven over six innings while pitching out of the bullpen this spring, but he also walked six batters. The 23-year-old will continue to try to sure up his control in the minors. Herrera is considered the Rockies' top position prospect after a breakthrough 2013 season, but he's still a ways off from the majors.
