Sun Jul 4 2010 | 11:07 | Greene starting again Sunday |
Tyler Greene is in the Cardinals' lineup again Sunday, this time at shortstop. |
He has been in the lineup for all three games since getting recalled, with his first two starts being at second base. Greene hit a blast into the upper deck on Friday and followed up with a single and a two-RBI triple on Saturday. The fact that he started the last two games against lefties isn't a big surprise, but it could be telling that he's in the lineup again Sunday against Yovani Gallardo, while Brendan Ryan, whose average has fallen below .200, is sitting. Manager Tony La Russa is probably just playing the hot bat, but it's not out of the question that Greene could play his way into significant playing time. |
