Wed May 26 201018:34Bullpen blows lead for Tigers' Bonderman
Jeremy Bonderman was left with a no-decision after limiting the Mariners to an unearned run over seven innings Wednesday.
Bonderman left with a 4-1 lead, but Ryan Perry had a rare bad outing, giving up five hits and four runs in the eighth. Bonderman has a 1.33 ERA and a 26/7 K/BB ratio in 27 innings this month. If he keeps throwing like this, he's going to be a very interesting property as a free agent this winter.
Thu May 20 201018:38Bonderman fans eight batters in victory
Jeremy Bonderman struck out eight batters over six strong innings Thursday as the Tigers topped the A's 5-2.
Bonderman allowed only three hits and one earned run as he cruised through the Oakland batting order. He's now 2-2 on the season with a 4.43 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP, and he'll get the light-hitting Mariners next. Jose Valverde picked up his 11th save with a scoreless ninth inning.
Mon May 17 201008:54Bonderman used out of bullpen on Sunday
Jeremy Bonderman pitched a scoreless inning out of the bullpen Sunday against the Red Sox.
Saturday's 12-inning game really put a hurting on the Detroit bullpen and Bonderman was made available Saturday afternoon in case of emergency. He is scheduled to start on Wednesday against the A's, but the short inning shouldn't hurt his status for that outing. The 27-year-old right-hander has a 1.27 WHIP through six starts this season and can be played with confidence.

Wed May 12 201022:31Bonderman solid against Yankees
Jeremy Bonderman was a tough-luck loser against the Yankees on Wednesday night, giving up just two earned runs over seven innings.
Bonderman struck out seven, walked one and allowed just five hits. It's his second straight solid outing and he's working himself back on to the AL-only radar. Outside of a fluky disaster against the Mariners in April, Bonderman has allowed just 11 earned runs in 33 2/3 innings.
Sat May 1 201016:39Tigers' Bonderman turns in quality start
Jeremy Bonderman yielded two runs -- one earned -- in six innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Angels.
Bonderman allowed 10 hits, but the Angels kept running into outs. Erick Aybar was caught stealing for the first out of the game, Bobby Abreu was caught stealing to end the fourth and Hideki Matsui was thrown out at home to take the Angels out of a potential bases-loaded situation in the sixth. Had the Angels been more conservative, they probably would have won today.
Thu Apr 22 201001:17Tigers' Bonderman bounces back versus Angels
Jeremy Bonderman yielded three runs and three hits in six innings Wednesday in a no-decision versus the Angels.
Bonderman, who was lit up for 10 runs last time out, got into trouble right away tonight, as he allowed two walks and a homer in a three-run first. However, he gave up just one hit and no walks over his remaining five innings and he ended up striking out five. It was a very solid effort.
Sat Apr 17 201003:05Tigers' Bonderman gives up 10 runs in loss
Jeremy Bonderman gave up 10 runs -- eight earned -- in four-plus innings Friday in a loss to the Mariners.
It was all singles and walks, as just one of the 13 batters to reach safely against Bonderman did so via an extra-base hit. Bonderman gave up two runs in the third after striking out the first two batters of the inning and then was victimized by a couple of bunts that turned out very badly for the Tigers in the fourth. The fifth was simply a disaster from the start, as he gave up four straight singles and then walked Rob Johnson with the bases loaded before getting pulled. All three inherited runners came around to score. The ugly outing will make Bonderman a shaky play in AL-only leagues against the Angels next week.

Sat Apr 10 201016:24Bonderman shines in win over Indians
Jeremy Bonderman tossed five innings of one-run ball in a 4-2 win over the Indians on Saturday afternoon.
A very encouraging start for Bonderman, as he fanned five and walked two. He held the Indians to just one hit, with the lone run scoring on a wild pitch in the fourth inning. He was pulled after 92 pitches once his velocity dipped considerably. The Tigers haven't had much return on the four-year, $38 million contract they handed Bonderman in December of 2006, but he could surprise this season.
Mon Apr 5 201012:12Bonderman begins serving 3-gm. suspension
Jeremy Bonderman began serving a three-game suspension Monday.
Bonderman was handed the suspension at the end of last season for throwing a ball behind Adam Everett's back and then beaning Delmon Young in a game against the Twins. Bonderman will not miss a scheduled start.
