Dickey (8-10) earned the win Sunday at the Angels, allowing five runs on 11 hits and one walk along with a hit batsman while striking out one over six innings.
Dickey gave up all five runs in the first inning, before shutting down the Angels for his last five innings. As often is the case, the Blue Jays offense showed up in a big way, giving him a fortunate victory. He'll make his next start Friday against Detroit.

Dickey was on the hook for the loss, but the Toronto offense picked him up by scoring five runs in the sixth inning. The outing snapped an impressive string of seven straight quality starts. Dickey (7-10) held the A's to three runs on six hits and two walks in six innings Wednesday, striking out four en route to a 10-3 win.
The 40-year-old knuckleballer just keeps on rolling. He hasn't lost a start since July 9, and over his last seven outings, Dickey has allowed just nine earned runs in 49.1 innings -- that's a 1.65 ERA. He's still not quite flashing the Cy Young-winning knuckler that he showed with the Mets, but this more contact-oriented version of it has been plenty good enough lately.

Dickey allowed one run on six hits, walking one and striking out three over seven innings, but came away with a no-decision in a game the Jays would win 2-1 over the Yankees in 10 innings on Friday night.
After a very rough start to the season, Dickey has really turned things around. He has now posted quality starts in 10 of his last 11 outings, and his performance tonight dropped his ERA below 4.00 to 3.93 on the season. At the trading deadline Toronto showed how serious they are about the playoff push, and Dickey will hope to continue contributing to that objective.

The knuckleballer allowed just a pair of singles in this dominant outing against a strong Kansas City lineup. He is next scheduled to take the mound Friday against the Yankees.

Dickey (5-10) allowed just a pair of unearned runs on seven hits and a walk over eight sparkling innings in a win against Philadelphia on Wednesday. He struck out four.
Dickey's shining run continues -- he's allowed just five earned runs over his last four starts and hasn't walked more than two batters in any of those outings. He's also posted quality starts in eight of his last nine turns. Although there are reasons for caution with Dickey -- chiefly, his age and the inconsistency in his performances over the course of his three seasons in Toronto -- he's certainly on a roll right now. He'll look to carry that forward into Monday's start against the Twins.

Dickey (4-10) went 8.1 innings in Oakland on Thursday, striking out six while allowing just two runs on five hits and a walk in a 5-2 victory.
The verteran knuckleballer's turn got pushed up a day thanks to Drew Hutchison's illness, but he was still on four days of rest. Despite his hideous record, Dickey has actually turned consistent work since the start of June, having posted a 3.23 ERA over his last 10 outings. He's allowed more than three earned runs just once in that span. The hot stretch could continue, as Dickey's lined up for a start against the cellar-dwelling Phillies on Wednesday.

Dickey took a tough no-decision Saturday, allowing just one run on four hits and a walk over six innings, striking out four.
For once the Jays' bats weren't able to pile up the run support for Dickey, and they eventually fell 3-2 to the Rays. It's Dickey's sixth quality starts in his last seven outings, and he'll look to make it seven of eight on Friday in Seattle.

Dickey pitched well Thursday, conceding two earned runs across seven innings while striking out six, but was tagged with the loss against the White Sox.
The Blue Jays mustered just four singles against the White Sox's Jeff Samardzija, which left Dickey as the hard-luck loser. He's notched quality starts in six of his last eight starts, but is just 1-5 over that span. While the 40-year-old hasn't pitched poorly, his 4.87 ERA and AL-leading 44 walks show that the once-ace seems to be declining.

Dickey struggled on Saturday, coughing up five runs on 11 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings, striking out one, to drop his record on the season to 3-9.
The knuckleballer has seemed to be turning things around a bit recently, reeling off four straight quality starts heading into Saturday, but another tough outing sent his ERA back up to 5.02. Dickey will try to find his groove again on Thursday, on the road against the struggling White Sox.

Dickey allowed three runs on six hits and three walks in his eighth loss Monday against Boston.
The start completes a stable June after Dickey suffered multiple blowups in the season's first couple months. Dickey went at least 5.2 innings in every start, didn't allow more than three runs in any start, and struck out 28 against 17 walks in 38 innings with a 3.32 ERA. It's far from ace quality, but it should be enough to pick up some wins down the stretch behind the Blue Jays top-quality lineup.

Dickey gave up three runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts in seven innings Tuesday against the Rays.
By Dickey's standards this season, Tuesday was a solid outing, but he was outdone by opposing starter Chris Archer, suffering his seventh loss of the season. This was Dickey's first start since coming off the bereavement list after the death of his father. One thing Dickey brings to the table is that he is as reliable of a starting pitcher from a health perspective as there is in the game today, so for better or worse, owners should be able to bank on him taking the ball every fifth day going forward.

Dickey was removed from the bereavement list Monday, SportsNet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.

Dickey (3-6) pitched around five walks to allow just one run on three hits over 7.1 innings Thursday in a win over the Mets. He struck out seven.
It's been a tough year for Dickey, but apparently the sight of the ol' orange and blue had him feeling good on the mound in this one. Unfortunately, strikeout totals like this have been the exception rather than the rule this year, as Dickey's really starting to lose effectiveness at age 40. He'll get the Rays next week.

He'll look for his third victory of the season Thursday against the team he won a Cy Young Award for in 2012, the Mets.
