Wed Aug 11 201013:38A's Jackson (hammy) to join Single-A
Conor Jackson (hamstring) will head to Single-A Stockton to continue his minor league rehab assignment Wednesday.
Jackson, who had been playing in the Arizona Rookie League, is expected to play seven innings in the outfield tonight. He could return before the end of the week, which could make for a pretty crowded outfield situation in Oakland.

Mon Aug 9 201021:20Oakland OF Jackson to play five innings
Conor Jackson (hamstring) is slated to play five innings for the first time on his rehab stint in Triple-A Reno on Monday night.
Jackson always takes longer than average to get healthy, so let's not get too excited. Chris Carter owners are watching his rehab closely, but considering that the starters in the outfield right now are Coco Crisp, Gabe Gross and Rajai Davis, there might just be room on this team for both Carter and Jackson.

Mon Aug 9 201010:46Jackson has begun playing in rehab games
Conor Jackson (hamstring) has begun playing in minor league rehab games in the Arizona Rookie League.
Jackson has played in just 14 games for the A's since they acquired him from the Diamondbacks in mid-June. He's on the disabled list currently with a hamstring strain and is hoping to return in about a week. The 28-year-old was batting .245/.335/.327 in 196 at-bats this season before the injury.

Thu Aug 5 201011:40Jackson to start rehab on Saturday
Conor Jackson (hamstring) will start playing in rehab games Saturday.
Jackson had a cortisone injection in his ailing right hamstring last week. He has been on the disabled list since early July with the injury. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, he could be about a week away from a return.

Tue Jul 27 201018:34Jackson (hamstring) not ready for rehab stint
There's still no timetable for when Conor Jackson (hamstring) will be able to go out on a minor league rehab assignment.
A's manager Bob Geren said that Jackson is "feeling better," but the club originally hoped he would be available right after the All-Star break. We haven't even heard if he has been cleared for baseball activities yet.

Wed Jul 21 201014:14Jackson (hamstring) not close to rehab stint
Athletics manager Bob Geren said that Conor Jackson is still 4-5 days away from "pushing really hard" on his injured hamstring.
Once he does, the club hopes he can begin playing in minor league rehab games. We're probably still about a week away from that. Jackson hasn't played since June 30 due to right hamstring tightness.

Mon Jul 19 201020:24Conor Jackson not close to rehab stint
Athletics manager Bob Geren said that Conor Jackson (hamstring) is not close to a minor league rehab assignment.
Going further, Geren said he doesn't expect Jackson to be ready in the "next several days." Last we heard, Jackson was doing some running in Arizona, but wasn't yet cleared for baseball activities. It doesn't sound like he's made much progress on that end.

Fri Jul 16 201019:52A's Jackson (hamstring) not close to return
Conor Jackson (hamstring) hasn't been cleared to resume baseball activities.
Pretty disappointing considering that the A's hoped he would be ready for Friday's game. The timetable for his return is not yet known.

Sun Jul 11 201014:23Jackson unlikely to return by Friday
Conor Jackson (hamstring) is unlikely to return to the A's lineup by Friday, the team's first game of the second half.
Manager Bob Geren says Jackson needs three rehab games, and he isn't ready to play yet. He was hoping to start a minor league rehab assignment on Monday, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Fri Jul 9 201020:17A's Jackson could begin rehab stint Monday
Conor Jackson (hamstring) could begin a minor league rehab assignment as soon as Monday.
Jackson hasn't played since June 30 due to a right hamstring strain. As long as his rehab assignment goes off without a hitch, it's possible he could re-join the team immediately after the All-Star break.

Mon Jul 5 201017:58A's place Jackson (hamstring) on DL
Athletics placed Conor Jackson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 1, with right hamstring tightness.
As expected, he'll now get a chance to heal over the All-Star break. Jackson is batting .267/.365/.311 with four RBI and five runs scored in 45 at-bats since being acquired from the Diamondbacks last month.
Mon Jul 5 201009:27Jackson could be placed on DL this week
Conor Jackson (hamstring) will likely be placed on the 15-day disabled list if he is not available for Monday's game.
Jackson, acquired from Arizona in mid-June, missed a fourth straight game on Sunday due to ongoing tightness in his hamstring. If he is placed on the disabled list, look for Matt Carson to be brought up from Triple-A.

Sun Jul 4 201008:53Jackson out again Saturday
Conor Jackson (hamstring) missed his third straight start Saturday.
Jackson has been dealing with tightness in his hamstring. At this point he can still be considered day-to-day, but obviously the longer this drags out, the greater the chances are that he lands on the DL.

Thu Jul 1 201020:33Jackson out with hamstring injury
Conor Jackson was absent from Thursday's lineup due to a hamstring injury.
Manager Bob Geren said that Jackson's hamstring has been bothering him for a few days. "He's day-to-day, [it's] something he's been dealing with for a while, a week or so," Geren said. It sounds like there's a chance he could miss more time, so stay tuned.

Fri Jun 25 201019:12Jackson scratched from Friday's lineup

Wed Jun 16 201022:50Jackson reaches three times for A's
Conor Jackson went 2-for-3 with a walk as Oakland's leadoff hitter on Wednesday.
Jackson hit leadoff just 15 times for the Diamondbacks in his career, but he has the on-base skills to be of use at the top of the order. If he succeeds, he could keep the spot after Coco Crisp returns.
Tue Jun 15 201018:54Conor Jackson to be starting left fielder
Athletics manager Bob Geren said that Conor Jackson will be his starting left fielder.
Coco Crisp isn't back from the disabled list yet, but it should be interesting to see who loses playing time with Ryan Sweeney and Rajai Davis also on the roster. Jackson, who was acquired from the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, is batting just .238/.326/.331 this season, but is just two years removed from batting .300/.376/.446. Athletics general manager Billy Beane won't let that kind of potential go to waste.

Tue Jun 15 201012:28A's acquire Conor Jackson for righty reliever
Athletics acquired OF Conor Jackson from the Diamondbacks for RHP Sam Demel.
Jackson has been a fairly consistent hitter throughout his career with the Diamondbacks, at least when he's not battling Valley Fever. He will step into a rotation in the Oakland outfield and will probably hold just about the same amount of fantasy value as he did in Arizona. With a .238 batting average and a 657 OPS over 42 games this season, he can be avoided in most leagues.
Mon Jun 14 201014:39Rangers may be targeting AZ's Conor Jackson
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Rangers are exploring trade options for right-handed hitting infielders, including Conor Jackson.
Jackson, 28, has posted a disappointing .238/.326/.331 batting line with one home run and 11 RBI in 42 games this year, but maybe part of the appeal is that he should come cheap. The Rangers are hoping to platoon a veteran with young first baseman Justin Smoak, who has struggled out of the gate.
