With Carlos Quentin likely to begin serving his suspension on Monday, the Padres need some outfield depth. Blanks was batting .296/.424/.519 with a homer early on at Triple-A and should see a handful of starts in left field while Quentin is out.

As long as he remains healthy, he'll likely mash at the Triple-A level and earn a promotion to serve as a backup outfielder and first baseman for the Padres. If he finds his way into everyday at-bats, owners in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues should surely take notice.
