Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle hears that the Athletics are not expected to call up Travis Buck this month.
It's not like the Athletics have many at-bats to go around right now, but this is symbolic of how far the former 2005 first-round pick has fallen in the eyes of the organization.

According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Athletics are expected to option Travis Buck to Triple-A Sacramento before Tuesday's game against the Indians.
We're still awaiting official confirmation from the team. Just don't take this to mean that Chris Carter will get another chance in the big leagues quite yet. Matt Watson or Matt Carson are likely to take his place on the active roster.
