Paulsen (head) is in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
Paulsen left Sunday's game against the Phillies with a migraine, and then missed Monday's game against the Dodgers. The issue apparently isn't too serious, as he's back in the lineup Tuesday afternoon, batting fifth and starting at first base.
Mon Jun 1 201516:50Paulsen (head) out of lineup Monday against Dodgers
Paulsen (head) is out of the lineup Monday against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
Paulsen exited Sunday's game due to migraine issues, and it appears the combination of that and the left-handed Clayton Kershaw will hold him out of the lineup Monday as well. Wilin Rosario replace him at first base again Monday, batting fifth.

Paulsen was pulled from Sunday's game against the Phillies after suffering from a migraine, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
Brandon Barnes came on to replace Paulsen in left field. The issue doesn't sound particularly serious, so there's a decent chance that Paulsen will be good to go for Monday's series opener with the Dodgers.
Sat May 30 201519:33Paulsen 1-4 Saturday with solo shot, third home run of season
Paulsen went 1-for-4 Saturday with a solo shot, his third home run of the season.
He's now slashing .359/.419/.667 through his first 12 games since being called up, and with Justin Morneau sidelined indefinitely due to another concussion, Paulsen is in line for regular playing time and considerable value in the short term.

Paulsen smacked a pinch-hit two-run homer in Friday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
With lefty Cole Hamels on the mound for the Phillies, Paulsen was bypassed for the start at first base in favor of Wilin Rosario, who typically does his best work against southpaws. However, it was Paulsen who ended up with the better night, as he took righty reliever Luis Garcia to give the Rockies some needed cushion heading into the bottom of the ninth. Right-hander Aaron Harang will take the hill for the Phillies on Saturday, so expect Paulsen to get back in the lineup at either first base or in left field.

Paulsen started both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants, producing three hits -- including his first homer of the season -- to go along with two RBI and three runs on the day.
It seems manager Walt Weiss has settled on Paulsen as the primary replacement for Corey Dickerson in the corner outfield, a role that should give him value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues. Paulsen has already recorded eight hits in 18 at-bats, and it looks like he'll be a strong source in the batting average department for as long as he remains in a regular role. The 27-year-old demonstrated his contact skills over 63 at-bats with the Rockies a season ago, hitting .317 with four homers and 10 RBI.

Paulsen went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and two walks in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Giants.
Paulsen made his third consecutive start Friday and should be a mainstay in left field until Corey Dickerson (foot) returns from the DL. While he lacks premium power or speed, Paulsen projects as a useful contributor in the batting average category for those in deeper leagues, particularly in weeks where the Rockies have a series a Coors Field.
Tue May 19 201517:35Paulsen recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday
Paulsen was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
The 27-year-old Paulsen will be up for his first stint with the big club this season, replacing Corey Dickerson (foot) on the active roster. Paulsen is hitting .305/.374/.500 against right-handed pitching with Albuquerque this season and could spell Wilin Rosario occasionally at first base and perhaps see time in the corner outfield in Colorado.
Mon Mar 23 201515:01The Rockies optioned Paulsen to minors Sunday
The Rockies optioned Paulsen to the minors Sunday.
Paulsen's lack of versatility likely worked against his chances of making the Rockies' Opening Day roster, as the club was more inclined to carry up-the-middle players on its bench rather than an additional first base/corner outfield type. The 27-year-old didn't help his cause by batting only .108 with 12 strikeouts over his 37 Cactus League at-bats. He's expected to spend most of the 2015 season at Triple-A Albuquerque.
Sat Sep 27 201410:17Paulsen delivered pinch-hit home run in Friday's loss to Dodgers
Paulsen delivered a pinch-hit home run in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.
The ninth-inning home run was Paulsen's third of the season, but it represented just his second at-bat in the last five games. While Paulsen could get a spot start over the final two games of the season, it doesn't look like the Rockies view him as somebody who can eventually become an everyday player.

Paulsen socked a two-run pinch-hit homer in Monday's 10-9 victory over the Rockies.
Though he has a sample size of just 36 at-bats at the major league level, Paulsen has fared well with the transition to this point, posting a .417 average, two homers and six RBI across four stints with the big club this season. Unfortunately, Paulsen will struggle to see playing time so long as Justin Morneau remains healthy, limiting him primarily to pinch-hitting duties most nights.
Mon Sep 1 201415:05Paulsen recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday
Paulsen was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday.
Paulsen has made a dozen appearances with the Rockies this season but has spent most of the year at Colorado Springs, batting .294/.378/.533 with 20 homers and 76 RBI in 117 games. A third-round pick in 2009, Paulsen will play second fiddle to Justin Morneau over the remainder of the season, as his inability to really play another other position will limit the options for manager Walt Weiss.

Paulsen was added to the Rockies' roster for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader as the 26th man.
Paulsen got the nod with the Rockies needing an extra guy at first base with Justin Morneau dealing with a sore neck. Paulsen will start in place of Morneau on Sunday night and bat fifth against Reds starter Dylan Axelrod.
Sat Aug 16 201417:12Paulsen optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday
Paulsen was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Paulsen will head back down to the minors to make room for Michael Cuddyer (shoulder), but he figures to return once rosters expand. The 26-year-old Paulsen made just one start during his most recent stint with the big club.
Sun Aug 10 201414:07Paulsen recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday
Paulsen was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Although he enjoyed regular starts at first base with the Rockies during his last stint in the big leagues, Paulsen looks on track to see mostly reserve duty this time around with the Rockies. With Justin Morneau healthy, Paulsen will be forced to compete for most of his playing time in the corner outfield, where the presence of Brandon Barnes and Drew Stubbs will make at-bats difficult to come by.
Tue Jul 29 201418:06Ben Paulsen optioned to Triple-A
Rockies optioned 1B Ben Paulsen to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Paulsen had 10 hits in 22 at-bats while up with the Rockies, but he's no longer needed with Justin Morneau back from the DL. He'll be back later this season.

Rockies purchased the contract of 1B Ben Paulsen from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Paulsen will replace the injured Justin Morneau (neck) on the active roster and make his major league debut Monday night against the Nationals. The 26-year-old was batting .291/.380/.524 with 15 homers over 95 games this season in Triple-A.

Sat Mar 8 201420:26Ben Paulsen paces offense in victory over A's
Ben Paulsen paced the Rockies offensive attack in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Athletics in Cactus League play, going 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
Paulsen had a pair of doubles and also scored a run in the game. The 26-year-old first baseman had a breakout season at Triple-A Colorado Springs in 2013, slashing .292/.345/.523 with 18 homers and 79 RBI in 123 games. He remains a longshot to make the Opening Day roster, but could see time with the Rockies at some point during the 2014 campaign.
