He'll replace the injured Andres Blanco on the active roster. Quintanilla, 29, was batting .298/.369/.452 with five homers and 25 RBI in the hitter-friendly PCL, but he's a .220 career hitter over 559 plate appearances in the majors. |

Omar Quintanilla underwent arthroscopic surgery Monday to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. |
He'll be sidelined for the next four to six weeks, which means that he is likely out for the rest of the minor league season. Quintanilla missed the first two months of the season, but was batting .252/.316/.353 with one home run and 15 RBI in 119 at-bats with Triple-A Colorado Springs. |
