Kirk Hinrich scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with zero rebounds, three assists and no steals or blocks in Friday's win over the Mavs.
Hinrich also had five turnovers in his 30 minutes so this line has a few problems but altogether it fits into his late-round profile.

Tue Feb 25 201422:39Kirk Hinrich, D.J. Augustin ice cold Tuesday
The Bulls escaped with a 107-104 victory in Atlanta on Tuesday despite Kirk Hinrich and D.J. Augustin shooting a combined 5-of-26 from the field.
Two of Hinrich's made FGs came from downtown and he was 6-of-7 from the free throw line, including three straight after being fouled on a 3-point attempt with under a minute left in a close game. He had 14 points, three assists and three steals to salvage his evening for fantasy owners, while backup Augustin finished with 10 points, one 3-pointer, six assists and two steals.

Wed Feb 19 201423:17Kirk Hinrich scores 19 with zero assists
Kirk Hinrich hit 8-of-11 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, two rebounds, a steal and a block, but didn't manage to hand out an assist on Wednesday.
The Bulls won with Hinrich and D.J. Augustin combining for just one dime, but Joakim Noah helped them out with 13 assists (8 points, 4 rebounds) in the win. Hinrich has been playing well and is worth owning in many leagues, but you have to think his next injury is just around the corner.

Thu Feb 13 201415:52Bulls VP downplays trade-deadline activity
Bulls VP John Paxson doesn't think his team is "likely" to make any trades with the Feb. 20 deadline rapidly approaching.
"You have to put yourself in the other team's position," Paxson said. "People just don't give up great players. We obviously talk and keep our eyes and ears open. But to anticipate something is going to happen, I don't think that's likely, to be honest with you." Chicago would jump at a chance to deal Carlos Boozer and the final year of his contract, which may be amnestied this summer. Veterans like Kirk Hinrich and Mike Dunleavy may also be discussed in the coming week, but at the very least it doesn't sound like any big-name deals are on the Bulls' horizon.

Tue Feb 11 201423:17Hinrich, Augustin in timeshare for Bulls
Kirk Hinrich started and had 10 points, two rebounds, six assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-12 shooting in 30 minutes on Tuesday.
D.J. Augustin came off the bench for 13 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and four 3-pointers on 4-of-11 shooting in 31 minutes. You have to think it's only a matter of time before Hinrich is hurt again, so hanging onto DJA should be a no-brainer, despite the timeshare.

Tue Feb 11 201418:53Kirk Hinrich picking up the pace offensively
Kirk Hinrich said that he's had "more of an offensive mindset" recently, and he's averaging 16.0 points in Chicago's past two games.
"I think he's finding his rhythm offensively," said coach Tom Thibodeau. "D.J. [Augustin] has been terrific throughout ... and they played very effectively with each other. It allows you to swing the ball to get to the second pick-and-roll and that's been very effective for us." Thibodeau's goal is to play both of his PGs around 30 minutes per game, and it seems Hinrich's 25-minute limit has been eased up.

Sun Feb 9 201418:42Kirk Hinrich scores 17 points vs. Lakers
Kirk Hinrich scored 19 points against the Lakers on Sunday, adding four boards, five assists, three steals and three 3-pointers on 7-of-13 from the field in 29 minutes
He made the most of his matchup against a weak Lakers defense and exceeded his minutes limit tonight. Hinrich was only expected to play 20-25 minutes for an indefinite period based on a Friday report. He's probably not going to be as good as he's letting on, but fantasy owners can give him a look.

Fri Feb 7 201413:08Kirk Hinrich to stay on minutes limit
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) is expected to stay on a 20-25 minute limit indefinitely.
Hinrich hasn't topped 25 minutes since returning from his hamstring pull five games ago. He'll continue to share point-guard duties down the middle with D.J. Augustin, capping the upside of both players.

Fri Feb 7 201401:25Kirk Hinrich plays well in starting unit
Kirk Hinrich played 25 minutes in another start on Thursday with 15 points, one board, one assist, three steals and one 3-pointer.
He was getting after it and his 15 points tonight were more than his last three games combined. Hinrich shot over 50 percent from the field for the first time since Jan. 7 and he is on his way to his worst season in field goal percentage. That said, he's worth a look for owners in dire straits with regards to assists.

Wed Feb 5 201400:31Kirk Hinrich starts over DJA again
Kirk Hinrich started at point guard again Tuesday and had eight points, two assists and two steals on 2-of-7 shooting.
He played 24 minutes, while D.J. Augustin came off the bench for 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes. How long Hinrich can stay healthy is anyone's guess, and Augustin is still the player to own despite coming off the bench.

Mon Feb 3 201422:10Kirk Hinrich back in the starting lineup
Kirk Hinrich is back in the starting lineup against the Kings on Monday.
This is a bit of a surprise considering D.J. Augustin has been excellent in the starting lineup. Augustin owners shouldn't totally panic and he should have plenty of chances to score off the bench. Hinrich has been horrible and can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.

Thu Jan 30 201401:14Kirk Hinrich scores 11 in return
Kirk Hinrich returned from a hamstring injury and had 11 points, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer off the bench in 22 minutes on Wednesday.
The good news is that he didn't make a dent in D.J. Augustin's playing time, as DJA still saw 38 minutes as the starting point guard. Maybe Hinrich will become relevant at some point, but it would have to be a pretty deep league if you're thinking about picking him up. He missed four games with the injury.

Wed Jan 29 201421:28Kirk Hinrich will play vs. Spurs
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) will play vs. the Spurs on Wednesday.
He will come off the bench behind D.J. Augustin. It's unclear how many minutes Hinrich will see, but most fantasy owners can ignore him for now.

Wed Jan 29 201420:16Kirk Hinrich will warm up for Wednesday
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) will warm up for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
He's missed the last four games and the Bulls have leaned heavily on D.J. Augustin over the span. Hinrich is shooting just 35.1 percent on the season, he can't stay healthy and he doesn't have much of a shot of getting the lion's share of the minutes at point guard.

Wed Jan 29 201412:27Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) game-time vs. Spurs
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs.
D.J. Augustin has been terrific lately, scoring at least 16 points in all but one of Chicago's past eight games, and he's likely to start at PG whether or not Hinrich feels good enough to return. We'll have an update after the Bulls' pre-game warmups.

Mon Jan 27 201418:47Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) out on Monday night
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday night.
He wasn't really expected to play and is traveling with the team. Hinrich is going to lose a lot of minutes to D.J. Augustin upon his return. Augustin is a must-start option.

Mon Jan 27 201412:46Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) likely out Monday
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) is expected to sit out Monday's game vs. the Wolves, but he's feeling better and will travel with the Bulls this week.
The Bulls play on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and Hinrich isn't worth gambling on in standard leagues with weekly lineups. D.J. Augustin has been playing well in his absence and it remains to be seen which PG will be in the starting lineup, but either way a minute-share is the likely outcome. Augustin is the more appealing fantasy option.

Sat Jan 25 201417:55Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) won't play Saturday
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) will not play on Saturday, as expected.
He didn't travel with the team to Charlotte but could return to action on Monday, when the Bulls host the Timberwolves. D.J. Augustin remains a solid fantasy starter in Hinrich's absence.

Fri Jan 24 201412:20Kirk Hinrich out on Friday, Augustin to start
Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) will not play in Friday's game against the Clippers.
Hinrich's hamstring pull leaves him very questionable for Saturday's game at Charlotte as well. It makes red-hot D.J. Augustin a highly attractive play no matter what format you're in. Over the last five games, DJA is averaging 21.6 points, 6.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 3-pointers and 1.0 steals while playing 32.7 minutes per night. We can safely expect 34-38 minutes on Friday for Augustin.

Wed Jan 22 201411:51Kirk Hinrich (hamstring) not traveling w/ CHI
Kirk Hinrich (right hamstring) didn't travel with the Bulls for Wednesday's game.
Chicago recently re-signed Mike James as a backup PG behind default starter D.J. Augustin. There seems to be real concern about Hinrich's injury, which could shelve him for a while, and Augustin needs to be owned in all leagues.
