Wed Jan 11 2012 | 01:36 | Drew Gooden crashes back to earth |
Drew Gooden had just two points and two rebounds in 13 minutes on Tuesday. |
Not coincidentally, Andrew Bogut returned from a four-game personal absence tonight. Gooden was great in Bogut's absence, but should be dropped until Bogut is set to miss more games. |

Sun Jan 8 2012 | 22:22 | Drew Gooden hits the wall vs. Thunder |
Drew Gooden looked overmatched vs. the Thunder frontcourt on Sunday, managing just eight points (3-of-12 FGs), six rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes. |
Gooden had to be exhausted, as well, as he's been leaned on heavily for three straight games with Andrew Bogut attending to personal matters in Australia. His minutes were down in the blowout, but Bogut is due back on Tuesday so Gooden's owners should prepare to move on. |

Sun Jan 8 2012 | 01:44 | Drew Gooden has 18 & 13 in Bucks' loss |
Drew Gooden delivered 18 points and 13 rebounds for the short-handed Bucks on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to avoid Milwaukee's fourth consecutive loss. |
Andrew Bogut is expected back Sunday or Tuesday, meaning Gooden's stellar play may not last much longer. He's earned a spot in the rotation but doesn't have nearly the same appeal as a backup center. |

Fri Jan 6 2012 | 02:25 | Gooden has another nice night with Bogut out |
Drew Gooden started for Andrew Bogut (personal) on Thursday, scoring 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting (6-of-10 from the foul line) with nine rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes against the Kings. |
The Kings are soft defensively, so this result was mostly expected. Gooden should be owned as a short-term producer while Bogut is out. Bogut is in Australia attending to personal matters and could return Sunday, but Tuesday and Thursday's games seem a bit more in reach. |

Thu Jan 5 2012 | 22:03 | Gooden to start on Thursday for Bogut |
Drew Gooden will start for Andrew Bogut (personal) on Thursday against the Kings. |
The Kings could come out energized after changing coaches, but they're still awful defensively and Gooden has a good chance for another nice night. With Bogut in Australia and returning for Sunday's game at the soonest, with games on Tuesday and Thursday following that, Gooden has a nice window to produce. |

Wed Jan 4 2012 | 00:55 | Drew Gooden starts, goes for 24 & 12 |
Drew Gooden started in place of Andrew Bogut (personal) on Tuesday and blew up for 24 points, 12 rebounds and a block on 12-of-20 shooting for the Bucks. |
He had only played in two of the four Bucks games thus far, scoring six points, and it remains to be seen what kind of run he'll get when Bogut is back. But you have to think he earned some minutes with tonight's performance. Ersan Ilyasova is currently the starting power forward, but it's possible that Gooden could challenge him for the job. Gooden might be worth an add in very deep leagues, but until we see what Scott Skiles' next move is, we'd recommend leaving him on waivers for now. |

Tue Jan 3 2012 | 20:11 | Drew Gooden to start at center for Bucks |
Drew Gooden will start at center for the Bucks on Tuesday in Andrew Bogut's absence. |
Bogut is a surprise scratch due to personal reasons and Gooden, along with Larry Sanders and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, will man the middle for the Bucks tonight. |

Sat Dec 31 2011 | 15:19 | Drew Gooden picks up DNP-CD |
Drew Gooden was healthy but received a DNP-Coach's Decision on Friday. |
Ersan Ilyasova had a hot hand and the Bucks are particularly deep at PF, especially when Luc Richard Mbah a Moute gets healthy and slides over to defend bigger players. There's no reason to be banking on Gooden this season. |

Tue Dec 27 2011 | 16:25 | Gooden suspended for Tuesday night |
Drew Gooden has been suspended one game without pay for his Flagrant Foul Two against Gerald Henderson on Monday night. |
Gooden plans on sitting out Tuesday's game vs. the Timberwolves, so daily lineup deep-league owners need to take note and make any necessary changes. |

Tue Dec 27 2011 | 00:00 | Gooden ejected from Monday's game |
Drew Gooden was ejected from Monday's game after a flagrant foul late, and finished with just four points on 1-of-4 shooting with five rebounds, two assists, and a block in 14 minutes. |
With Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (knee) out, if you were wondering who would be Scott Skiles' PF de jour it wasn't Gooden. Gooden has produced in stretches so he's worth keeping an eye on, but he shouldn't be owned for the right to find out if he can do it again. |

Wed Dec 14 2011 | 07:31 | Drew Gooden still feeling pain in his feet |
Drew Gooden is still feeling pain in his feet. |
Gooden struggled with plantar fasciitis last season, and clearly it's still an issue despite claiming he felt "great" in early December. "I'm not going to lie. I still feel pain, either in my foot or in other areas. But I'm continuing to push through it, and I'm out here playing," said Gooden. This is not a good start for the veteran, and it's just another reminder that he's anything but a slam dunk to make it through the regular season healthy. |

Thu Dec 1 2011 | 07:17 | Drew Gooden feeling good after long summer |
Drew Gooden (foot) is "feeling great" and is ready to make an impact with the Bucks. |
"I committed my summer to my body," said Gooden. He also added that he wanted his foot to be in the "best condition" it's been in, which is good news for Milwaukee as the team needs him to be better than he was last year. Gooden was decent when he was able to stay on the court by averaging 11.3 ppg and 6.8 rebounds, but he shot just 43.1 percent from the floor and only appeared in 35 regular season games. |

Sat Nov 12 2011 | 11:53 | Make-A-Wish charity game coming to San Fran |
Drew Gooden is organizing a Make-A-Wish charity game on Sunday, Nov. 20, which will feature Amare Stoudemire, Eric Gordon, Joakim Noah, DeMar DeRozan and Ricky Rubio. |
The game is expected to be played at the University of San Francisco, though only one active Warrior (Dorell Wright) is mentioned in the article. |

Wed Apr 13 2011 | 23:16 | Drew Gooden disappears in Bucks' final game |
Drew Gooden disappeared in the Bucks' final game on Wednesday night, scoring just 10 points (4-of-13 shooting) with two rebounds in 22 minutes. |
Owners that grabbed him off the wire and were hoping for another big night were sorely disappointed in this one. Backup big man Larry Sanders had 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 28 minutes. |

Mon Apr 11 2011 | 23:31 | Drew Gooden double-doubles in start |
Drew Gooden made another start at center for Monday and backed up his triple-double with 19 points, 11 boards, five assists and two blocks in the win. |
He hit 6-of-14 shots and should be a nice start again on Wednesday. Gooden, Brandon Jennings and John Salmons were all solid tonight, but the rest of the Bucks were quiet - including Carlos Delfino. He was just 2-of-5 for five points as his late-season meltdown continued. |

Sun Apr 10 2011 | 01:04 | Gooden secures first career triple-double |
Drew Gooden secured his first career triple-double on Saturday, scoring 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting with 13 rebounds, 13 assists, and two blocks in 37 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday. |
The scary thing about his night is that he had the 3x2 by the 5:06 mark of the third quarter. He won't have a night like this for the rest of his career, but like we said earlier, owners need to run to the wire and grab him for the right to see if he can keep up the momentum. |

Sat Apr 9 2011 | 22:24 | Drew Gooden triple-doubles before 4th qtr |
Drew Gooden has his first career triple-double before the start of the fourth quarter of Saturday's game, after scoring 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting with 11 rebounds, 12 assists, and a block in 29 minutes of action. |
We had to double-check this before we believed it, too. If you weren't on the Drew Gooden bandwagon you should be now, and if he is available you need to run to the waiver wire and grab him right away, even if this is guaranteed to be his best statistical game as a pro. With Andrew Bogut out for the year, he is positioned to get heavy run, and a line like this is too big to downplay. |

Thu Apr 7 2011 | 00:05 | Gooden struggles, still worth owning |
Drew Gooden scored just nine points on 3-of-7 shooting with one rebound and one steal in 18 minutes off the bench on Wednesday. |
He looked bad tonight, but has been playing well enough to be owned recently and we can't see dropping him with Andrew Bogut's future in serious doubt. That said, we won't go as far as to call him a must-own player in 12-team formats. |

Tue Apr 5 2011 | 22:13 | Drew Gooden lone bright spot in loss to Magic |
Drew Gooden was one of two players that scored in double-digits for the Bucks in their 78-72 loss to the Magic on Tuesday evening, logging 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. |
The other player to hit double figures in scoring was Keyon Dooling who had just 10 points. Gooden has been playing well recently and has actually rebounded the ball with quite more success in his past few contests, so chalk up tonight's low total as a minor hiccup. |

Sun Apr 3 2011 | 01:09 | Gooden double-doubles in win over Sixers |
Drew Gooden scored 12 points on 6-of-16 shooting with 12 rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes off the bench on Saturday. |
Written off for dead by many, he has produced enough to be owned in most formats after tonight, and with Andrew Bogut a prime shutdown candidate he also has some untapped upside, as well. |
