Mon Apr 2 201222:02Gooden has quiet night against the Wizards
Drew Gooden had a slow night on Monday against the Wizards, scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 21 minutes.
Ekpe Udoh scored 15 points with eight rebounds, five assists, and a block in 21 minutes, which will catch the eye of box score watchers everywhere. While Gooden has slowed down a bit recently, it's likely that Scott Skiles felt the game was under control and Udoh's play helped cinch the decision. Getting Gooden some rest at this stage of the year is always a good idea.

Sat Mar 31 201223:16Drew Gooden scores 20 points in Bucks' loss
Drew Gooden showed signs of improvement in Saturday's loss to Memphis, scoring 20 points with five rebounds, two assists, five steals and one block.
Gooden turned the ball over five times, but he made 9-of-16 FGs in his best fantasy performance in recent memory. He's a safe option with four games next week, especially since two of them will come against the Bobcats' lackluster defense (100.4 points allowed per game, third-worst in the NBA).

Tue Mar 27 201223:09Gooden scores 16, struggles with shot
Drew Gooden hit just 5-of-16 shots, but finished Tuesday's game with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and a block in a win over the Hawks.
Gooden has been a bit hit or miss lately, but plays better when opponents don't have a dominant center. And while Zaza Pachulia has been playing well, he's far from a dominant defensive center.

Tue Mar 27 201200:28Drew Gooden stumbles again in loss
Drew Gooden cooled off on Monday, hitting just 2-of-9 shots for six point and five boards in 22 minutes.
We're going to say foul trouble was part of his problem, as he finished with four of them, and playing against Tyson Chandler didn't help, either. We've seen him bounce back from bad nights before, and it will possibly happen again on Tuesday against the Hawks, as Gooden should be able to get numbers against Zaza Pachulia and company.

Sun Mar 25 201200:19Drew Gooden quiet in loss to Pacers
Drew Gooden was overmatched against Roy Hibbert and the Pacers on Saturday, and wound up playing just 21 minutes -- he had eight points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
The reigning Easter Conference Player of the Week has been succeeding against bigger opponents all season, so we're not reading too much into this quiet line. Let's see how he fares against the excellent defense of Tyson Chandler in Monday's game against the Knicks.

Fri Mar 23 201223:37Gooden double-doubles against Bobcats
Drew Gooden scored 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting with 12 rebounds, four assists, and one block in the Bucks' blowout win over the Bobcats on Friday.
Gooden played 25 minutes to Ekpe Udoh's 19 minutes, and given the garbage time nature of the game once again we're not ready to call this a timeshare. This was Gooden's third double-double in five games. Monta Ellis (13 points, two assists) and Brandon Jennings (12 points, four assists) continued to cap each others' production.

Thu Mar 22 201223:21Gooden has off-night; Udoh cuts into his time
Drew Gooden scored six points on 2-of-12 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 25 minutes on Thursday.
Newly acquired Ekpe Udoh played 21 minutes and scored two points on 1-of-5 shooting with 10 rebounds, a steal, and a block, but we're not too worried about a timeshare unless we get a report that Gooden is hurting. All in all, owners should not panic about tonight's result.

Wed Mar 21 201200:50Drew Gooden scores 19 in Bucks win
Drew Gooden appears to be unfazed by the arrival of Ekpe Udoh and had 19 points, four rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer on 8-of-12 shooting in Tuesday's easy win over the Blazers.
There's no telling if Scott Skiles will stick with Gooden in the middle for heavy minutes every night, but it sure looks like he's locked and loaded the rest of the way. Udoh played 16 minutes and had two points, six rebounds and four blocks, but will need more run if he's going to be worth owning from here on out. And with Gooden playing so well, it's not likely.

Tue Mar 20 201209:31Scott Skiles heaps praise on Drew Gooden
Scott Skiles heaped praise on Drew Gooden after the center was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
"He can help spread the floor. He's made good dribble plays," said Skiles. His assist totals are nice and he's rebounding the ball. He's having a very, very good year." Gooden credits his experience for his success, and there is no reason to think his production will slow down moving forward. The veteran is averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 11 games since the All-Star break.

Thu Mar 15 201200:30Drew Gooden explodes for triple-double
Drew Gooden blew up for 15 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer on 7-of-12 shooting Wednesday, recording the second triple-double of his career.
First of all, we hope he wasn't on weekly benches with just three games this week, and secondly, we hope you didn't drop him when Ekpe Udoh was sent to Milwaukee last night. This is the type of line that can single-handedly win a week for owners, and Gooden has been a beast since Andrew Bogut went down with a broken ankle. We're guessing Udoh will come off the bench behind Gooden, especially after tonight's explosion.

Mon Mar 12 201223:01Gooden posts monster 23-8-7 line vs. NJ
Drew Gooden scored 23 points on 11-of-19 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, seven assists, and a steal in Monday's win over the Nets.
Considering who we're talking about here -- Drew Gooden -- what he's doing is nothing short of phenomenal if you think back to his Cleveland days. Even with injuries lingering in the back of owners' minds, try to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thu Mar 8 201200:09Drew Gooden scores 27 more points Wed.
Drew Gooden posted another huge line on Wednesday night, scoring 27 points to go along with six rebounds, two steals and a block.
Gooden even threw in two 3s for good measure, and he has now scored 23 points or more in four of his last five games. If his wrist and back are still bothering him, he sure isn't showing it.

Fri Mar 2 201223:51Gooden (back) goes for 26 and 10 vs. ATL
Drew Gooden (back) scored 26 points on 8-of-21 shooting (including a three) with 10 rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes on Friday.
Gooden's owners have been through a stressful couple of weeks, but he's coming out of wrist and back concerns smelling like a rose. Sure, his shooting wrist injury or back ailment could start acting up, but owners will want to get a great deal in return if they're thinking of selling high.

Thu Mar 1 201217:00Gooden confirms his back is OK
Drew Gooden (back) admitted it was "tough" to play on Wednesday night.
Gooden's back was tight before the game, but it loosened up once he got going. He ended up going for 23 points and nine rebounds in 34 minutes. Gooden should be fine for a similar workload in Friday's game against the Hawks.

Drew Gooden started and had 23 points and eight rebounds on 7-of-15 shooting Wednesday, a night after taking a scary fall and injuring his back.
He also hit 9-of-9 free throws and appears to have survived the fall. If he's available in your league, pick him up. And if you already own him, start him now that we know he's healthy.

Wed Feb 29 201218:56No updates on status of Drew Gooden (back)
There have been no updates on the status of Drew Gooden (back) for Wednesday's game.
No news is probably good news in this case. Gooden landed hard on his back on Tuesday, and although the Bucks said he "wasn't injured" he did require treatment after the game. We're guessing he plays, but owners with safer alternatives should use them.

Wed Feb 29 201207:26Drew Gooden had to get treatment on back
Drew Gooden (back) had to get treatment on his back after taking a nasty spill in the second half.
Gooden went to the locker room to get treatment, returned to the bench and could have played according to Scott Skiles. We're considering him questionable to play on Wednesday against the Celtics, but the Bucks will update his condition prior to the game. Gooden had 15 points and 10 rebounds on Tuesday.

Tue Feb 28 201222:06Drew Gooden returns, leaves with back injury
Drew Gooden returned to action on Tuesday, but left in the second half after taking a nasty fall and landing flat on his back and elbow.
We don't think he hurt his wrist, but his back is another story. Replays were painful to watch and it appears he's done for the night. He'll be iffy for his next game and we should have a new update on his status on Wednesday.

Tue Feb 28 201206:53Drew Gooden set to return to lineup Tuesday
Drew Gooden (wrist) will return to action on Tuesday against Washington.
Gooden has a torn ligament in his wrist but was able to go through practice on Monday without complications. Gooden didn't sound incredibly optimistic about his long-term outlook, saying "it's just a matter of me trying to play through it and see what happens in the future." He also said that the All-Star break allowed him to rest some minor knee and ankle injuries in addition to his wrist, but he'll be ready to roll for owners on Tuesday. He is averaging 17.1 points and 7.7 rebounds on 45.8 percent shooting in 17 games as a starter.
