Tue Mar 6 201222:06Jared Jeffries leaves with sore knee
Jared Jeffries left Tuesday's game with a sore right knee and won't return.
He's been a solid role player for the Knicks this season, but isn't much of a fantasy threat. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Tue Feb 7 201202:54Jeffries starts with Stoudemire out on Monday
Jared Jeffries started for Amare Stoudemire (personal) on Monday against the Jazz, scoring 13 points on 3-of-9 shooting (7-of-10 from the foul line) with eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block in 34 minutes.
This is Jeffries' ceiling and he will also attempt the 3-point shot. With Carmelo Anthony (groin) and Stoudemire both out, Jeffries tends to get more touches because he is a facilitator-type on offense. If both are out for Wednesday's game against the hapless Wizards, he'll be an above-average spot-starting option so long as he starts, too.

Mon Feb 6 201211:36Jared Jeffries starting in place of Amare
Jared Jeffries is starting in place of Amare Stoudemire (personal) Monday.
No one knows when Stoudemire will return to the team following the death of his older brother. Regardless, Jeffries is one of the worst offensive players in the league. He's starting 331 games in his career, but is averaging just 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in those starts despite getting 26.6 minutes.

Tue Apr 19 201123:11They went to Jared and lost another game
Jared Jeffries took a pass from Carmelo Anthony, who was double-teamed mercilessly in the game's critical possession on Tuesday, and passed on a fairly easy layup attempt to try an interior pass that Kevin Garnett blocked and intercepted -- leading to the Knicks' Game 2 loss.
It may not be Charles Smith against the Bulls in the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, but this one will still leave a small mark. Jeffries had converted moments before on the same type of play, and finished with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with six rebounds, one steal, and two blocks, but the real question is why he was on the floor offensively when Melo was seeing the ball forced out of his hands.
