Wed Mar 30 201100:31Hollins won't have to buy beer in Cleveland
Ryan Hollins won't have to buy beer in Cleveland for a while, scoring 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks in 36 minutes in the Cavs' win over the Heat on Tuesday.
He wanted to fight the Heat, literally, all night long and his desire to hit Heat players was one of the differences between tonight and the last meeting. He's still not worth anything in fantasy leagues, but he officially is more liked in Cleveland than Anderson Varejao, a notorious pre-game hugger of James.

Sat Mar 26 201102:20Hollins scores 10 points with not much else
Ryan Hollins started at center again in Friday's win, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and two blocks in 24 minutes.
Before the game Byron Scott said that he would start for the foreseeable future, but even in a best-case scenario there's not a ton to like about Hollins. Leave him on the waiver wire in most formats.

Thu Mar 24 201114:03Hollins will keep starting at center
Coach Byron Scott said that he will stick with Ryan Hollins at center for Friday's game against the Pistons.
The Pistons don't sport any true 7-footers, so it looks like Scott wants to just roll with Hollins and J.J. Hickson up front going forward. That means that Samardo Samuels isn't getting his job back and can be dropped in most formats. Hollins' inept offensive game yields no fantasy upside either.

Wed Mar 23 201122:56Hollins plays 31 minutes in start at center
Ryan Hollins started for the Cavs on Wednesday and had six points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in a season high of 31 minutes.
He might have played even more had he not fouled out, but he has no business playing these kind of minutes for any team. Unless you're in a very deep league, don't give Hollins a second thought.

Wed Mar 23 201111:36Hollins starting at center for Cavs
Ryan Hollins will start at center against the Nets Wednesday night.
Hollins is getting the nod tonight to try to defend Brook Lopez, but he very well could stick in the starting five. Still, there's not much upside here. Hollins won't come anywhere near true starter's minutes and his offensive game borders on anemic. We wouldn't make an add.

Wed Mar 9 201102:05Hollins scores season-high 14 points
Ryan Hollins scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with two rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
He hasn't shown much this season to suggest that he deserves playing time, but with Baron Davis going through Blake Griffin alley-oop withdrawals, it's possible Hollins could have a few nights like this. Needless to say, he belongs on waivers in most formats.

Sat Jan 15 201119:49Hollins out due to death in family
Ryan Hollins will not be available on Saturday due to a death in the family.
He hasn't been playing much, but his absence leaves the Cavs with just eight men available. Look for big minutes from J.J. Hickson and Antawn Jamison tonight.

Sat Dec 11 201013:18Ryan Hollins questionable on Saturday
Cavaliers center Ryan Hollins is questionable on Saturday because of a stomach virus.
Anderson Varejao will play heavy minutes if his backup can't play.
Sun Nov 14 201001:31Hollins starts but plays just 17 minutes
Ryan Hollins started for injured Anderson Varejao (ribs) on Saturday, but couldn't stay out of foul trouble and played just 17 minutes on his way to four points on 2-of-2 shooting with three rebounds and one assist.
Keep this in mind for future spot starts, as he's just not consistent enough to be counted on -- even in desperation fantasy starts.
Thu Oct 7 201022:18Hollins grabs 14 boards in loss to Wiz
Ryan Hollins made a start at center in Thursday's loss and finished with six points, 14 rebounds, a steal and two blocks.
That's a pretty nice line and we've seen him do this before. Anderson Varejao is out due to a tender ankle, so the Cavs took a look at Hollins tonight. He could win the back up job, but unless you're in a very deep league, we doubt he is this good very often once the real season starts.
Mon Jul 26 201021:35Wolves trade Hollins to Cavs
Timberwolves center Ryan Hollins was traded to the Cavaliers as part of Monday's four-player swap.
The Cavs are clearly looking to the future, and Hollins is a promising but inconsistent seven-footer they desperately need to prop up their frontcourt. Paired with J.J. Hickson he could be a significant contributor this year, and is worth watching during the preseason.
