Young split the season between the Timberwolves and Nets, appearing in 76 total games and averaging 14.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
After being traded to Minnesota as part of the three-team Kevin Love deal this offseason, Young stepped in as the Wolves' starting power forward. In 48 games, he posted 14.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 45.1 percent from the floor and 29.2 percent from three. He was one of the few dependable players on a young Wolves roster, but the team opted to ship him to Brooklyn mid-season in exchange for former franchise cornerstone, Kevin Garnett. Young's numbers with Brooklyn over the final two months of the season were nearly identical to to his output in Minnesota, but he shot the ball noticeably better, hitting 49.5 percent of his field goals and 38.0 percent of his three-pointers. In the playoffs, Young averaged 10.5 points and 7.2 rebounds on 43.9 shooting over six games as the Nets fell to the top-seeded Hawks. Entering the offseason, Young will be faced with a decision, as he holds an early termination option. If he elects not to exercise the option, he'll remain in Brooklyn for just over $9.7 million next season. If he does exercise it, he'll hit the open market in hopes of securing a more lucrative, longer-term contract.

Young bounced back from a terrible 1-for-7 shooting performance in Game 2, taking on a more aggressive role in the offense Saturday, and after the Nets were able to take home the win with Young playing a bigger role on offense, he'll likely be on the attack Monday. Coach Lionel Hollins has shortened his rotation to primarily just seven players, so Young seems in line to get huge minutes again Monday.
