Sat Mar 26 2011 | 03:24 | Yi could benefit from Booker foot injury |
Yi Jianlian scored seven points on 3-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes on Friday. |
If the foot injury to Trevor Booker is serious, then deep leaguers will want to keep an eye on Yi, who scored a season-high 18 points with seven boards in his last time out, too. |

Wed Mar 23 2011 | 02:08 | Yi starts, does nothing yet again for Wizards |
Yi Jianlian drew another start in Tuesday's blowout loss, and scored seven points on 3-of-7 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes. |
There were tales of offseason workout programs for both Yi and LaMarcus Aldridge that were said to be difference-makers in their games. We'll let you decide which one was the puff piece and which one wasn't. That said, as long as Andray Blatche is out, Yi is a desperation option in 20-team leagues if he's starting. |

Mon Mar 21 2011 | 12:15 | Yi starts for Blatche, plays 36 minutes |
Yi Jianlian started for Andray Blatche again on Sunday and had nine points and four rebounds in 36 minutes. |
Yi is worth a look in deeper leagues, but his value would be crushed by the return of Blatche, who has seemingly been out forever with a shoulder injury. Blatche could return as soon as Tuesday at Portland, but we just don't know yet. And we probably won't, as he sounds like a game-time decision. Don't use Yi this week, and start Blatche at your own risk. |

Yi Jianlian started for injured Andray Blatche (shoulder) on Tuesday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and two steals in 41 minutes. |
A few things are wrong here, including the low chance he gets this much run going forward, and if so -- could he do anything with it. We're going to make him do it again before we ponder this existential question. |

He's worth keeping an eye on with Rashard Lewis' knee injury, but is a long shot to offer real fantasy value. |
Fri Feb 11 2011 | 13:35 | Yi Jianlian practices, seems fine for Wizards |
Yi Jianlian (sprained left ankle) returned to practice on Friday. |
Yi "gave a nod when asked if he was good to go." He should pick up more minutes with Rashard Lewis battling chronic knee soreness but is a longshot to have value in average leagues this season. |

Mon Feb 7 2011 | 09:56 | Yi questionable w/ ankle sprain |
Wizards coach Flip Saunders said that Yi Jianlian (sprained ankle) "should be okay," but his status won't be known until later on Monday. |
Any games missed for Jianlian could open up minutes for scrappy forward Trevor Booker, who prefers to play at SF anyway. |

Sat Feb 5 2011 | 21:14 | Jianlian leaves with sprained left ankle |
Yi Jianlian left Saturday's game with a sprained left ankle and is questionable to return with four minutes left in the game. |
He has played just nine minutes, anyway, so it seems unlikely the Wizards would rush him back. He finishes with just one rebound and three missed shots to his credit, and is not a fantasy option. |

Mon Jan 31 2011 | 23:45 | Yi double-doubles off Wiz bench |
Yi Jianlian got hot on Monday, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and a block on 6-of-12 shooting. |
JaVale McGee was in foul trouble and struggling so Yi got some extra minutes. But as long as Andray Blatche is healthy, it's going to be tough for Yi to duplicate this solid line very often. |
Thu Jan 13 2011 | 23:14 | Yi gets more minutes, can't capitalize |
Yi Jianlian played more than 20 minutes for the first time in a month on Thursday, but failed to produce in the boxscore. He finished with eight points and eight boards. |
He has really been slowed by a knee injury, and is going to fight with several players for minutes in Washington. Right now he has no value. |
Fri Dec 31 2010 | 17:24 | Yi returns from sprained knee on Friday |
Yi Jianlian returned from his sprained knee on Friday, going scoreless in five minutes off the bench. |
Yi hadn't played since Dec. 14th, so it's not surprising to see such a muted line. He has an opportunity with Josh Howard nursing a sore left knee, but even fully healthy Yi is not a lock for fantasy value. |
Fri Dec 31 2010 | 10:21 | Yi Jianlian (knee) upgraded to questionable |
Yi Jianlian (knee) has been upgraded to "questionable" for the Wizards on Friday. |
The Wizards forward has been hampered by injuries this year and his minutes aren't about to increase now that Josh Howard is healthy. Still, the Wizards can use all the help they can get. |

Yi Jianlian could play on Wednesday against the Pacers after missing several weeks with a knee injury. |
Yi won't have a fantasy impact upon his return, but if the Wizards trade Andray Blatche, that could change in a hurry. |

Wed Dec 15 2010 | 13:29 | Report: Yi Jianlian (knee) may miss 2-4 weeks |
Michael Lee of the Washington Post reports that Yi Jianlian (right MCL sprain) could miss 2-4 weeks. |
Yi was likely only owned in deeper fantasy leagues, but can be cut loose in just about any format with this news. The backup forward is averaging just 6.7 points in 19 minutes per game this season. Trevor Booker figures to see increased minutes in his absence. |

Wed Dec 15 2010 | 09:15 | Yi has sprained knee |
Yi Jianlian sprained his right knee in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers and is set for an MRI Wednesday. |
Yi started in place of Andray Blatche (knee) Tuesday, but lasted just five minutes. It's the same knee that Jianlian hyperextended on Nov. 13, which forced him to sit out nine games. Consider him day-to-day, but early signs are that he'll be out for awhile. |

Tue Dec 14 2010 | 19:43 | Yi leaves game with knee injury |
Yi Jianlian left Tuesday's game during the first quarter after Ron Artest fell on his bad right knee. |
He was helped to the locker room, and he'll make a frontcourt that was already thinned by the absence of Andray Blatche that much thinner if he can't return. |

Tue Dec 14 2010 | 11:47 | Yi to start again Tuesday |
Yi Jianlian will start in place of Andray Blatche (knee) against the Lakers Tuesday. |
It's a brutal matchup for Yi, who often struggles against longer defenders like Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol. We wouldn't be too excited about Jianlian as a spot start, especially with Blatche nearing a return. |

Wed Dec 8 2010 | 02:46 | Yi gets his first start for the Wizards |
Yi Jianlian started for injured Andray Blatche (hip) against the Lakers on Tuesday, and scored seven points on 2-of-3 shooting with five rebounds, no assists, and no steals or blocks in 26 minutes. |
There's not much to like about this performance, but then again, Yi tends to shrink against better competition. Should Blatche miss another game on Wednesday against the Kings, Yi would be a mediocre option in a spot start. |
