Mon Jan 20 2014 | 17:43 | Ramon Sessions excels in start, scores 23 |
Ramon Sessions was superb in his first start of the season on Monday, scoring 23 points with two boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes. |
The Bobcats offense was clicking today and Sessions had no trouble breaking down the Toronto defense. He hit a couple clutch free throws down the stretch, making 10-of-11 from the field and 6-of-10 from the field on the day. Sessions is a great fit for coach Steve Clifford's offense and should be starting in all fantasy formats while Kemba Walker (ankle) is out. |

Mon Jan 20 2014 | 12:36 | Sessions to start at PG, CDR back in rotation |
Ramon Sessions will start at PG until Kemba Walker (ankle) is healthy enough to play, while Chris Douglas-Roberts will pick up extra minutes at SG. |
Sessions doesn't hit any 3-pointers but he's terrific at getting himself to the FT line and should rack up solid points and assists as the Cats' starting PG. It's interesting to note that coach Steve Clifford didn't talk about Ben Gordon's role with Walker sidelined 10-14 days, but the veteran should also get a few extra minutes off the bench. |

Sat Jan 18 2014 | 23:32 | Ramon Sessions scores 16 points vs. Miami |
Ramon Sessions stepped up in Saturday's loss to the Heat with 16 points, three boards and five assists on 6-of-10 from the field in 38 minutes. |
He leads the NBA in drives per 48 minutes and getting to the rim will never go out of style. Coach Steve Clifford also is a fan of getting closer shots, so there's no doubt Sessions is going to get all the minutes he can handle while Kemba Walker recovers from a sprained ankle. He's also very adept at getting to the line. The upside is high enough to pick him up speculatively in almost all leagues. |

Sat Dec 28 2013 | 23:32 | Ramon Sessions scores 15 in OT loss |
Ramon Sessions had 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer on 6-of-10 shooting in 20 minutes off the bench on Saturday. |
We haven't blurbed him in a while, as he is very consistent, averaging 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 3-pointers over his last five games. And that might work for owners in deeper leagues. |

Tue Dec 17 2013 | 22:38 | Ramon Sessions scores 16 in win over Kings |
Ramon Sessions hit 6-of-11 shots for 16 points, two rebounds, six assists and a steal in Tuesday's win. |
Sessions isn't going to hit enough 3-pointers to be a must-own player, and has alternated good games with bad ones lately. But if you catch him on the right night, like this one, he can help your fantasy team. |

Sat Nov 9 2013 | 02:19 | Sessions scores 15 points off the bench |
Ramon Sessions scored 15 points off the bench on Friday, hitting all four of his field goal attempts and all seven of his free throws in a 15-minute outing. |
Sessions added one block and two assists and while he'll show up in the box score from time-to-time his limited role is going to limit him to deep-league use only. |

Sat Nov 2 2013 | 23:27 | Ramon Sessions scores 22 in loss |
Ramon Sessions came off the bench for 22 points and six assists on 5-of-11 shooting in Saturday's loss to the Pelicans. |
He also hit 12-of-16 free throws and played 34 minutes. He pushed his scoring average close to 16 points per game, but isn't doing enough other things to make him a strong fantasy play. Just keep an eye on him. |

Sun Oct 13 2013 | 09:35 | Ramon Sessions fully healed after MCL sprain |
Ramon Sessions had seven points, four assists and one steal off the bench on Saturday, showing no indications of the sprained MCL that ended his 2012-13 season. |
The bad news for Sessions is that both Jannero Pargo and Ben Gordon are also healthy, which erodes his minutes just enough to make fantasy owners pause. Interestingly, although Sessions set a career-high with 14.4 points per game last year, he easily set a career-low by shooting 40.8 percent from the field. |

Thu Oct 3 2013 | 21:23 | Ramon Sessions (knee) OK for Bobcats camp |
There have been no reports that Ramon Sessions (knee) is limited during the Bobcats' practices. |
Sessions season ended in early March after he sprained his MCL, but he didn't need surgery and seems to be healthy. We're removing the Bobcats' backup PG from the injury report, and will let you know if there's any lingering cause for concern. |

Thu Apr 18 2013 | 13:14 | Ramon Sessions' knee improving, minimal pain |
Ramon Sessions (knee) said his pain is down to a "pinch," but he still can't dunk a basketball yet. |
Sessions wound up missing every game after March 6 and never returned, and although his injury was a sprained MCL, it's taken nearly six weeks for Sessions to recover. The good news is that he's not expected to need surgery and should be fully healthy well before the start of next year. |

Wed Apr 3 2013 | 18:14 | Bobcats unsure of Ramon Sessions' return date |
Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap says he's not sure if Ramon Sessions (sprained left knee) will play this season. |
Dunlap says Sessions will be a big part of the decision-making process, but time is not exactly on either party's side. The Bobcats only have seven games left after Wednesday night and it doesn't make a ton of sense to rush Sessions back for a handful (or less) of games. |

Wed Mar 20 2013 | 18:02 | Ramon Sessions with limited progress in rehab |
Ramon Sessions can currently bend his sprained left knee but can't rotate it yet, according to Bobcats beat writer Rick Bonnell. |
Bonnell also notes that Sessions can ride a stationary bike but hasn't yet progressed to the point where he can rehab in a pool. Sessions, who was originally expected to miss two to four weeks, will hit the two-week mark of his rehab Thursday. Judging from his progress, we'd be surprised if he returned before the four-week mark, at which point there would only be a handful of games left this season. Fantasy owners who were holding out hope for a quick return can probably move on now. |

Thu Mar 7 2013 | 18:01 | Ramon Sessions has MCL sprain, out 2-4 weeks |
Ramon Sessions has a sprained MCL in his left knee and is expected to miss two to four weeks. |
Sessions apparently suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against the Nets. He underwent an MRI today, which showed a second-degree sprain. Sessions won't require surgery and could still return this season, which ends in roughly six weeks. Sessions' fantasy value was limited to begin with and this should pretty much seal his fate in most formats. Kemba Walker should see a boost and it's possible Ben Gordon and Jeff Taylor will get some extra run with Sessions on the bench. |

Tue Mar 5 2013 | 00:28 | Sessions scores 18 points off the bench |
Ramon Sessions scored 18 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 8-of-11 shots (no threes) with three assists and a steal in 27 minutes. |
With no threes, rebounds or blocks this is yet another line lacking versatility for Sessions, and along with Ben Gordon (14 points, one three, 16 minutes) the Bobcats bench can be ignored in 12-14 team formats. |

Sat Mar 2 2013 | 03:35 | Sessions scores 11 points with five TOs |
Ramon Sessions scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting with one assist and one steal in 18 minutes on Friday. |
Sessions has fallen way off the fantasy radar over the last two weeks, as the trade deadline came and went and didn't provide any relief. He should be on waivers in 12-14 team formats right now. |

Wed Feb 20 2013 | 22:00 | Ramon Sessions fills stat sheet again |
Ramon Sessions had 18 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting off the bench on Wednesday. |
Sessions has quietly had a fine season off the Bobcats' bench and Ben Gordon has fallen out of favor. Sessions should continue to roll as long as the Bobcats don't make a major trade and shake things up, and has scored in double digits in 10 straight games. |

Sat Feb 9 2013 | 22:55 | Sessions' 20 points not enough to snap skid |
The Bobcats' bench outscored the starting unit in Saturday's loss, led by Ramon Sessions' 20 points, three rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes. |
He added one 3-pointer, one steal and one block. He has late-middle round value in the past two weeks (nine-cat) and his role would only be enhanced if Ben Gordon (eight points in 28 minutes) is eventually traded for frontcourt help. |

Fri Feb 8 2013 | 23:38 | Sessions scores 12 points with seven assists |
Ramon Sessions scored 12 points off the bench on Friday against the Lakers, hitting 5-of-12 shots (including a three) with two rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes. |
Sessions has averaged 31 mpg over his last seven games and has stabilized as a low-end asset in standard 12-team leagues. Half of those games came with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Byron Mullens out, but it doesn't appear that Sessions' minutes are going anywhere anytime soon. And if the Bobcats end up trading Ben Gordon (nine points, 4-of-13 FGs, seven assists) for Kris Humphries, he could get another nice bump. |

Thu Jan 31 2013 | 01:17 | Ramon Sessions scores 20 points vs. Spurs |
Ramon Sessions scored 20 points with three rebounds, one assist and three steals in 37 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday. |
He'll finish January with a very respectable 28 minutes per game, scoring 16 points with a few other contributions. Sessions has earned his stripes as a asset in standard leagues and is creeping into the 10-team territory with his consistency. |

Wed Jan 23 2013 | 21:43 | Ramon Sessions scores 27 pts off Cats' bench |
Ramon Sessions stayed hot in Wednesday's loss, scoring a team-high 27 points on 10-of-16 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs, with one 3-pointer, three rebounds, five assists and two steals. |
With January averages of 14.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.6 steals and a mere 0.9 turnovers, Sessions has been worth starting in most formats. He and Ben Gordon (15 points, six rebounds) continue to give Charlotte a much-needed scoring punch, and the Cats' bench ranks third in the NBA with 40.4 ppg. |
