Thu Jul 12 201217:13Bobcats to renounce rights to D.J. White
John Hollinger is reporting that the Bobcats will likely have to renounce their rights to F D.J. White in order to sign PG Ramon Sessions.
White was likely gone anyway as a restricted free agent. He's shown glimpses of talent, but is not a guy who should be owned in most fantasy leagues, regardless of where he ends up.

Fri Apr 27 201214:27D.J. White hopes to return to Bobcats
D.J. White will become a restricted free agent this summer, but has said he would like to return to the Bobcats next season.
White was in and out of the starting lineup this season with Tyrus Thomas and Byron Mullens having issues with their consistency, but never really took full advantage of the opportunity. He scored 11 points and grabbed seven boards with a block in the last game of the year, which is about where his upside lies. White went on record by saying, "You never know what will happen, but I do want to be back here.''

Tue Apr 17 201201:38White goes back to irrelevant on Monday
D.J. White was moved back to a bench role on Monday, scoring zero points on 0-for-4 shooting with four rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes.
White has not been all that productive when getting minutes, so needless to say he has no value when he's not getting minutes.

Fri Apr 13 201220:59White knocked out of game due to elbow
D.J. White was knocked out of Friday's game after taking an elbow to the head.
White scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting with one rebound in nine minutes, and though he has gotten some recent run he has no value in fantasy leagues. He may be subject to the league's concussion protocol.

Thu Mar 29 201200:12D.J. White gets start for Tyrus Thomas
D.J. White started in place of Tyrus Thomas (elbow bursitis) and had 14 points, five rebounds and a block in 32 minutes.
His strong play appeared to limit both Bismack Biyombo and Byron Mullens, but Mullens is still a better fantasy option if you're desperate for a big man. Just keep an eye on White in case he continues to start.

Fri Mar 23 201220:26D.J. White injures right toe vs. Bucks
D.J. White injured his right big toe on Friday against the Bucks.
His return is questionable after he logged five minutes during the first half. Any long-term absence would free up an extra 17 minutes per game for the rest of the rotation, which is the amount of playing time White has averaged in March.

Sat Mar 10 201207:48White moved to bench for Tyrus Thomas
D.J. White moved to the bench on Friday, playing just 14 minutes on his way to two points on 1-of-2 shooting with five rebounds and no steals or blocks.
White was a candidate for fantasy value as a starter but never got it going. He's waiver wire fodder right now.

Tue Mar 6 201221:51D.J. White starts as Boris Diaw sits
D.J. White started in place of Boris Diaw, who has requested to be traded or bought out by the Bobcats, and had eight points and zero rebounds in Tuesday's win.
White is worth keeping an eye on and should be better than this if he continues to start. He played well over stretches earlier in the season, but make sure he continues to start before pulling the trigger on him.

Tue Mar 6 201218:46D.J. White, not Boris Diaw, starting Tuesday
D.J. White will start in place of Boris Diaw at power forward Tuesday.
News broke Tuesday afternoon that Diaw has asked for a trade or a buyout from the Bobcats. They've responded by removing him from the starting lineup and it's unclear if he'll play at all. White has started seven times this year, averaging 11.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in those games. He's ahead of Tyrus Thomas -- who is also a trade candidate -- on the depth chart.

Sat Mar 3 201203:04D.J. White plays through thumb injury
D.J. White played through a thumb injury on Friday, scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with four rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes.
With the Bobcats in disarray, the only reason White is getting a blurb is to notate his thumb injury, which probably won't be a problem going forward. Until things normalize, nobody on the Bobcats' bench other than Kemba Walker will be worth fantasy consideration in most formats.

Wed Feb 1 201202:21D.J. White quiet in return from knee injury
D.J. White returned from a two-game absence with a knee injury and had just seven points and two rebounds in 20 minutes on 3-of-8 shooting Tuesday.
He's had some nice games this season, but as long as Tyrus Thomas and Boris Diaw are starting for the Cats, White doesn't have much fantasy appeal.

Mon Jan 30 201213:39D.J. White (knee, ankle) could play Tuesday
D.J. White (knee, ankle) plans to return to action vs. the Lakers on Tuesday.
White's sprained ankle is a new addition to his medical chart, but this is great news as a previous report stated that he could be out for the Bobcats' entire four-game road trip. He has shown flashes of impressive play this season, but isn't consistent enough to warrant keeping on your roster while injured. Tyrus Thomas and Boris Diaw continue to play extra minutes in his absence.

Thu Jan 26 201216:58D.J. White (knee) out for Friday against TOR
After returning on Wednesday, D.J. White (knee) has been ruled out for the Bobcats game on Friday against the 76ers.
White played nine minutes on Wednesday and it looked like he had made it back from his knee injury to reclaim his back up PF spot for Charlotte. It sounds as if he may have had a setback and with the huge game from Tyrus Thomas (13 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, nine blocks), we wouldn't blame you if you wanted to let White go for a hot free agent.

Wed Jan 25 201218:17D.J. White (knee) expected to play Wednesday
D.J. White (knee) is expected to return on Wednesday.
White has missed four out of the last six games, but should go back to challenging starting power forward Tyrus Thomas for minutes. White has averaged 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds this season, and remains a player to monitor closely in deeper formats.

Tue Jan 24 201217:47D.J. White (knee) out for Tuesday against NYK
Updating a previous item, D.J. White (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
White thought he'd be a go Tuesday morning at shootaround, but apparently something has changed since then. Perhaps this could open some more minutes for Boris Diaw, who has played very well against the Knicks this season (23 ppg in two games). Head coach Paul Silas said: "If (Diaw) plays like he has in the past (against the Knicks), he'll play a lot.''

Tue Jan 24 201211:15D.J. White plans to play on Thursday
D.J. White (knee) went through shootaround and plans to play on Tuesday against the Knicks.
White will look to push Tyrus Thomas for playing time now that he's healthy at power forward. He is averaging 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 25 minutes this season, but poor free throw shooting (68. percent) and a lack of production in peripheral categories (0.4 steals, 0.6 blocks) really limits White's fantasy upside.

Mon Jan 23 201217:05D.J. White on target to return Tuesday
D.J. White (knee) remains on target to return for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
White's knee is merely bruised. Once fully cleared, he'll continue to push Tyrus Thomas for minutes at the power forward spot. Thomas is averaging just 6.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game despite logging 26.3 minutes.
