Sun Dec 2 201201:47Jason Thompson drops 16 & 12 in Kings loss
Jason Thompson provided a rare bright spot for the Kings on Saturday, double-double in with 16 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.
Thompson's quiet competency stands out for the Kings, who rank dead last in the NBA in assists per game (18.1) and seem to find a new way to lose every night. He's not flashy, but JT is returning reliable late-round value for fantasy owners.

Sat Dec 1 201204:03Thompson plays just 22 minutes on Friday
Jason Thompson played 22 minutes in Friday's loss, scoring three points on 1-of-3 shooting with three rebounds and one block.
Thompson has held low-end value in 12-team leagues this season, but his consistency is going to be a mess in the Kings' roller coaster ride. Tonight Thomas Robinson played some energetic below average basketball, which was enough for Keith Smart to turn to the rookie.

Jason Thompson double-doubled on Wednesday against the Lakers, scoring 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting with 10 rebounds, one steal, and one block in 40 minutes.
Thompson wasn't going to leave the floor in a winnable game against the Lakers and DeMarcus Cousins playing just 21 minutes due to foul trouble. He has been a nice late-round value on the heels of some particularly strong games recently, but playing for Keith Smart it's anybody's guess how long that will last.

Sat Nov 17 201205:02Thompson scores 19 points with 10 rebounds
Jason Thompson scored 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting with 10 rebounds on Friday against the Hawks.
Thompson played 33 minutes and DeMarcus Cousins finally showed some chemistry with his tag team partner, but the effort was somewhat empty with no steals or blocks for JT. Still, Thompson has been one of the Kings' better players this year and is on a decent roll, so give him a look if you need a big man. Just remember that the Kings are a mess.

Wed Nov 14 201200:39Jason Thompson goes for 8 & 11 in loss
Jason Thompson had eight points, 11 rebounds and two blocks on 3-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's ugly loss.
DeMarcus Cousins' suspension is now over and Thompson's touches should take a hit as a result. He's still worth holding in most leagues, but isn't a must-start fantasy player at this time.

Mon Nov 12 201200:10Jason Thompson double-doubles in start at C
Jason Thompson started at center for the depleted Kings on Sunday, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds before fouling out in 34 minutes.
JT shot just 4-of-10 from the field and he didn't block any shots, but this still represents a season-high in rebounds for the Kings' usual starting PF. Thomas Robinson will return for Tuesday's game vs. Portland, but Thompson should get all the run he handle with DeMarcus Cousins serving the second game of his suspension.

Sat Nov 10 201206:00Thompson scores 17 points vs. Spurs
Jason Thompson scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting with six rebounds, two steals, and one block in 38 minutes on Friday against the Spurs.
Thompson enjoyed the absence of rookie Thomas Robinson, who hasn't been that much of a thorn in Thompson's side but it's worth noting, nonetheless. Thompson is the owner of the only Kings' play that looks somewhat polished, and he catapulted himself into some mid-to-late round value with tonight's result. Still, we're skeptical about the sample size, Robinson's presence in general, and the Kings' take-turns offense holding him back.

Tue Nov 6 201205:18Thompson goes for six and six vs. GSW
Jason Thompson scored six points with six rebounds and a block in Monday's win against the Warriors.
Thompson is the only King to be featured in a play that looks like NBA-level offense, and that's a simple post-up on the block, but don't count on the team to actually run it more than once or twice per game. He has legitimate skills inside as a scorer and rebounder, but his value will only be tenable if the Kings have some sort of high-level change for the better.

Jason Thompson scored 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes on Friday against the Wolves.
On a night that the Kings had very few players look good, Thompson was 'okay.' With rookie Thomas Robinson scuffling out of the gate, Thompson is worth a look for his low-end value if you need a big man.

Fri Oct 26 201200:49Jason Thompson plays 28 minutes, scores 12
Jason Thompson played 28 minutes and had 12 points, five boards, two steals and two blocks against the Lakers on Thursday.
Thompson's quiet preseason will end with averages of 9.2 points, 5.3 boards and 0.8 blocks in 28 minutes. Thomas Robinson (personal) did not play on Thursday and had a sub-par preseason by shooting 38 percent from the field. Thompson is going to start at power forward and offers enough upside to take at the end of fantasy drafts.

Mon Jul 16 201209:29Jason Thompson gets $30 million contract
Jason Thompson's new contract is worth approximately $30 million over five seasons.
It's actually a solid value for the Kings, and in a league where big men are getting rapidly overpaid, Thompson's new pact looks good for Sacramento. However, only $2.65 million of the near $7 million owed to him in 2016-17 is guaranteed. Thompson will form a three-headed monster rookie Thomas Robinson and DeMarcus Cousins down low next season, although veteran Chuck Hayes will also be in the mix.

Wed Jul 11 201214:59Kings officially sign Jason Thompson
Kings sign PF Jason Thompson to multi-year contract.
Thompson is now in the middle of a crowded front court in Sacramento that includes DeMarcus Cousins, rookie Thomas Robinson and big man Chuck Hayes, which will make it tough for Thompson to have much of a fantasy impact in most leagues.

Mon Jul 9 201212:04Kings re-sign F/C Jason Thompson
The Kings agreed to a multi-year deal with F/C Jason Thompson on Sunday.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is expected to average $6 million per season. With the addition of Thomas Robinson through the draft along with DeMarcus Cousins and Chuck Hayes also on board, the Kings front court may have more bodies than minutes available. Thompson started 47 games last year for Sacramento, and while he may have a hard time coming close to that number this year, he can potentially help in rebounds for your fantasy team if given the minutes.
