Wed Mar 19 201422:58Michael Beasley scores 12 in start for Heat
Michael Beasley started in place of LeBron James ('back') and hit 5-of-11 shots for 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and four turnovers.
If you spot started him in a daily league he probably came through, but he won't be relevant again until LeBron gets another day of rest.

Wed Mar 19 201419:29Michael Beasley will start for LeBron
Michael Beasley will start against the Celtics on Wednesday.
He will start next to Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Beasley is a very interesting plug-and-play guy tonight and could have a nice effort. Coach Erik Spoelstra will keep his second unit together tonight.

Mon Mar 10 201422:21Beasley scores just four points on Monday
Michael Beasley scored just four points on 2-of-6 shooting with one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 15 minutes off the bench on Monday.
The steal and block make this line a lot better than the reality of Beasley's situation suggests, as he's now back into his limited role that crushes any fantasy value he accumulated last week. Still, when we get into the last few weeks he'll be a guy to keep close tabs on with the Heat likely to rest their guys.

Thu Mar 6 201423:12Michael Beasley scores 11 in loss to Spurs
Michael Beasley hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, six rebounds, a steal and a block in Thursday's loss to the Spurs.
Beasley had a season-high 24 on Tuesday and while he was struggling prior to that one, he's heating up. Keep an eye on him if you're in a deep league, but the reality is that he could disappear as soon as LeBron James gets hot again.

Tue Mar 4 201423:54Michael Beasley scores 24 points in loss
Michael Beasley scored a season-high 24 points against the Rockets on Tuesday with four boards, two assists and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
He shot 9-of-13 from the field in his best game of the season. LeBron James said he was "proud" of Beasley tonight and coach Erik Spoelstra left the mercurial forward in the game down the stretch. It's tough to say that the Heat will give Beasley more minutes at power forward and not winning the game probably doesn't help his case, so he's not an add in most leagues unless you're dropping dead weight.

Thu Feb 13 201401:54Michael Beasley gets dusted off on Wednesday
Michael Beasley played 24 minutes off the bench against Warriors on Wednesday with 16 points, two boards, two steals and one turnover.
He did not play on Tuesday night against his former team and was great tonight. Beasley has a handful of good games when Dwyane Wade (foot) sits out, but it's hard to roster him considering he hasn't played in his three previous games.

Mon Feb 10 201413:51Michael Beasley racking up DNP-CDs
Michael Beasley has played a total of four minutes in Miami's past four games, including two DNP-CDs.
"You know, coach's rotation," Beasley said. "It's not a bad thing, playing behind some great players, some smart players. So I'll just stay ready and wait for my opportunity." He's shooting a career-best 50.4 percent from the field this year, including 43.8 percent from downtown, but that doesn't mean much while he's rooted to Erik Spoelstra's bench.

Sat Jan 11 201400:00Beasley hits just 1-of-7 shots in loss
Michael Beasley hit just 1-of-7 shots in Friday's loss, finishing with three points and four boards in 20 minutes.
Beat writers openly wonder if he'll lose his edge now that his contract is guaranteed, but in reality he's probably going to be the same guy going forward more or less. Unfortunately, in fantasy he hasn't really gotten anything going and he can be left on the wire for now.

Tue Jan 7 201417:17Heat guarantee Beasley, Mason Jr. for season
The Heat guaranteed the contracts of Michael Beasley and Roger Mason Jr. on Tuesday.
There was never any doubt that Beasley's minimal contract would be guaranteed, given his solid play this season, but by also keeping Mason Jr. the Heat now have a full 15-man roster and no space to pick up free agents. Beasley is averaging 11.1 points in just 19 minutes per game this year, courtesy of excellent 53.1 percent shooting from the field.

Mon Jan 6 201410:34Michael Beasley's contract becomes guaranteed on Tuesday at 5 PM...
Michael Beasley's contract becomes guaranteed on Tuesday at 5 PM ET.
Beasley signed in September at the league minimum of just over $1 million, after previously earning over $30 million in his first five NBA seasons. "I'm still working hard," he said. "I'm not going to work any less come Tuesday." Beasley is only relevant in deeper fantasy leagues until his playing time increases.

Sun Jan 5 201420:54Michael Beasley scores 17 points off bench
Michael Beasley stepped up to score 17 points in 20 minutes off the bench vs. Toronto, adding four rebounds, two assists and one steal.
He sank 7-of-12 field goals and has proven to be a valuable asset for the Heat, who will undoubtedly guarantee his contract for the rest of the season. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, these efficient games can't be relied upon and he's a deep-league special unless his playing time increases.

Tue Dec 31 201300:13Beasley hits big three to secure Miami win
Michael Beasley hit a game-deciding 3-pointer in Monday's win over the Nuggets, and finished with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting and four rebounds in 19 minutes.
Beasley isn't ripe for fantasy purposes, but he profiles as a guy the Heat could rely upon down the stretch and tonight's big three will definitely be a step in the right direction for him. We'll let you know when it's time to give him consideration.

Sun Dec 29 201302:28Michael Beasley scores 12 in start for Bron
Michael Beasley started in place of LeBron James (groin) on Saturday and had 12 points, six rebounds and a 3-pointer on 5-of-10 shooting.
Beasley left the game after tweaking his knee, but was able to return and finish. After watching LeBron's post-game celebration with Chris Bosh, we doubt he misses more games, and if that's the case, Beasley isn't worth owning in most leagues.

Sat Dec 28 201323:39Michael Beasley returns from knee injury
Michael Beasley left Saturday's game in the third quarter after suffering an apparent knee injury.
He missed less than a quarter and looks to be fine. Beasley banged knees with Robin Lopez and the training staff just needed some ice to remedy the situation.

Sat Dec 28 201321:43Michael Beasley starting for LeBron James
Michael Beasley will start at small forward for the injured LeBron James (groin).
This move was expected and Beasley has been very good off the bench, so he could have a decent game tonight. LeBron could miss Monday's game, which makes Beasley an option as a short-term pickup in deeper leagues.

Tue Dec 24 201312:17Michael Beasley develops passion for defense
Michael Beasley has developed a passion for defense and could earn more playing time going forward.
Beasley had missed six consecutive games before racking up 10 points, seven rounds, and one assist in 20 minutes of action against the Hawks on Monday. The Heat were without Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, but it is worth noting that Beasley was on the court for the Hawks final possession Monday night. "He gave us a spark there in the fourth quarter when we had [LeBron James] and [Chris Bosh] out of the game," Spoelstra said. "He was able to take some of the responsibility offensively but also defensively he gives us that athleticism. He still needs to get up to speed on what we're doing but he can cover a lot of ground." Beasley could be an interesting add in deeper leagues, but we'll need to see more consistent minutes out of him first.

Mon Dec 23 201323:54Michael Beasley scores eight points
Michael Beasley (hamstring) returned from a six-game absence on Monday with 10 points, seven boards, one assist and one 3-pointer on 20 minutes against the Hawks.
He said after the game there was no fatigue from his hamstring and coach Erik Spoelstra was pleased with his new forward. :He gave us a spark in the 4th quarter, both offensively and defensively. He looked great," Spoelstra said. Dwyane Wade (rest) not playing was a factor here, so there's little reason to pick up Beasley in most leagues.

Mon Dec 23 201318:07Michael Beasley will be active for Monday
Michael Beasley will be active for Monday's game against the Hawks.
With Dwyane Wade out of the lineup in previous games, Beasley has turned in some effective outings. It's still not going to be easy to start him after a seven-game absence.

Sun Dec 22 201312:58Michael Beasley (hamstring) may play Monday
Michael Beasley (hamstring) was able to practice on Sunday but his status for Monday's game has yet to be determined.
The Heat have been without Beasley for seven games and they haven't missed a beat while shifting a few extra minutes to Ray Allen, Shane Battier and Rashard Lewis. Beasley was averaging 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in the two games prior to his injury, but we expect him to stick closer to his season-average 11.4 points and 4.0 boards.

Fri Dec 20 201311:38Michael Beasley will miss Friday's game
Michael Beasley will miss Miami's game against the Kings Friday night.
Friday will mark the seventh straight game that Beasley has missed. The Heat are using kid gloves on the mercurial forward as they have the depth to sustain his absence, so owners shouldn't look for Beasley to return until he is 100% ready. We'll be updating his status as soon as more information is available, but even when healthy, he's a border-line fantasy option.
