Fri Feb 8 201320:39Toney Douglas suffers a hip injury Friday
Toney Douglas suffered a hip pointer in Friday's game and he is questionable to return.
He need some assistance and chances are he won't be back. Patrick Beverly should back up Jeremy Lin while Douglas is out with his injury.

Wed Jan 9 201300:33Toney Douglas scores 11 points in win
Toney Douglas had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a 3-pointer on 4-of-9 shooting in 29 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Lakers.
Douglas has been playing pretty well, averaging 10.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five games, but that still probably isn't enough to make him a must-own player in your league.

Sat Jan 5 201302:03Toney Douglas puts up 18 points on Friday
Toney Douglas played 26 minutes in a 115-101 win over the Bucks on Friday, scoring 18 points with one rebound, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.
He picked up some extra minutes with Jeremy Lin missing time to get stitches in his head. This line shouldn't be overblown and we wouldn't pick him up because of it. Although, it's clear that if Lin does miss time for whatever reason, Douglas would be a nice handcuff.

Sun Dec 30 201200:29Toney Douglas posts 17 points w/ five steals
Toney Douglas scored 17 points in nearly 33 minutes of action vs. the Thunder, adding two 3-pointers, three assists, five steals and one turnover.
Douglas is a good perimeter defender, so you'd think he was called upon to slow down Russell Westbrook, but his +/- rating of -31 tells the story. He's too inconsistent for use in standard formats, though his 1.5 threes per game give him appeal as a specialist.

Sat Dec 29 201202:56Douglas hits four treys in Friday's loss
Toney Douglas hit four 3-point shots in Friday's loss, scoring 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 28 minutes.
Douglas has played well enough to be worth a look in 16-team formats this season, with averages of 20.1 minutes, 8.4 points, 1.5 threes, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals, and conflicting marks of 38 percent shooting from the field and 95 percent shooting from the foul line.

Sun Dec 16 201217:31Toney Douglas falls off on Sunday
Toney Douglas played just 16 minutes in a 103-96 loss to the Raptors on Sunday and had five points, two assists and one 3-pointer.
Douglas played 28.5 minutes per game in over his last six games, but seemed like it was only a matter of time until he would lose most of those minutes. He should remain on the waiver wire while Jeremy Lin is healthy.

Sat Dec 15 201202:55Douglas scors 11 points off the bench
Toney Douglas scored 11 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-9 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds, zero assists, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes.
Douglas is hitting 54.8 percent of his threes on his six-game double-digit scoring streak, and it's safe to say his numbers won't look nearly as good when he regresses to the mean in that department. Douglas is only worth watching in deep formats.

Tue Dec 11 201200:13Toney Douglas fills in with 41 minutes
Toney Douglas had 17 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and five 3-pointers against the Spurs on Monday.
Douglas has been hot in his last four games with averages of 15.5 points, 3.3 triples and 1.5 steals. Obviously, tonight's season-high 41 minutes had a lot to do with James Harden being out. That said, if there's someone on your roster you're willing to cut in 14-team leagues, you could do worse than Douglas.

Sun Dec 9 201201:29Toney Douglas logs 35 minutes under McHale
Kevin McHale returned to the Rockets bench on Saturday and promptly gave Toney Douglas more playing time -- the backup guard had 13 points, three 3-pointers, three rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes.
Douglas defends better than Jeremy Lin and he's always played more like a SG, which makes him effective playing off ball-dominant James Harden. He's racking up points, 3-pointers and steals in the past few games and it's possible McHale saw something he liked while watching the past 13 games from afar. Jeremy Lin is struggling and owners should feel free to gamble on Douglas if you have a guy you can part with -- in the final 30 games of 2010-11, while with the Knicks, he posted fifth-round value in just 27 minutes per game.

Mon Jul 9 201220:04Toney Douglas looks for fresh start in HOU
Toney Douglas was traded to the Rockets as a part of the Marcus Camby deal from Monday.
Beat writer Jonathan Feigen said Monday that the Rockets will keep Douglas, who will be an intriguing player in fantasyland until the team signs another point guard. Douglas fell off the map in New York after losing all of his confidence, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility for him to get out of that funk once he leaves the dysfunctional confines of Madison Square Garden.

Wed May 9 201212:00Toney Douglas, first guard off Knicks' bench
Toney Douglas will be the first guard off the Knicks' bench in Game 5, according to coach Mike Woodson.
J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony will still handle plenty of the playmaking duties, but Douglas and starting PG Mike Bibby also need to step up for the reeling Knicks. Douglas was bothered by a virus to begin the series, and hasn't even appeared in a game since April 22. Our expectations are very low.

Fri Apr 27 201215:28Toney Douglas (virus) is out for Saturday
Toney Douglas (virus) has been ruled out for New York's Saturday playoff game against Miami.
Douglas has incredibly fallen behind the ancient Baron Davis and Mike Bibby on the depth chart after starting out the season as a potential fantasy sleeper, so his exclusion from Game 1 won't be a big loss for the Knicks.

Thu Apr 26 201218:57Toney Douglas out Thursday
Toney Douglas (illness) will not play in Thursday's regular season finale.
Even with Baron Davis resting and Jeremy Lin out, Douglas would have struggled for a real role. He's somehow fallen behind Mike Bibby on the depth chart.

Wed Apr 11 201201:28Toney Douglas hits rock bottom in loss
Toney Douglas played just seven minutes on Tuesday, finishing with zero points and zero assists for the Knicks.
Baron Davis keeps gimping along as the starter, while Iman Shumpert is seeing plenty of minutes at point guard. Douglas simply has no fantasy value, as last Thursday's explosion now looks like a fluke.

Thu Apr 5 201221:37Douglas gets a chance to perform vs. Magic
Toney Douglas made a rare appearance in the box score during Thursday's blowout win over the Magic, scoring 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 25 minutes.
Douglas has been a total mess dealing with personal issues lately, and this could be a nice stepping stone in getting him back in the swing of things. And if he can turn it around somehow, that would make him a candidate to play PG if/when Baron Davis gets hurt. Just watch him from afar for now.

Sat Mar 31 201222:19Toney Douglas quiet in return to rotation
Toney Douglas returned to the Knicks' rotation on Saturday, playing 10 minutes as a backup PG.
Mike Bibby didn't leave the bench (DNP-CD), and Douglas is worth watching in case Baron Davis (29 minutes) is forced to the sidelines by his hamstring, calf, ankle, knee...take your pick.

Wed Mar 28 201211:40Toney Douglas expected to see time Wednesday
Toney Douglas is expected to play on Wednesday.
Mike Woodson said that Baron Davis can't play 30-plus minutes and Jeremy Lin is out. Douglas has seen about seven minutes of game action in the entire month of March, and he's not a fantasy option in any format.

Sat Mar 24 201200:49Douglas a DNP-CD on Friday vs. Raptors
Toney Douglas did not play due to coach's decision in Friday's blowout loss.
We're moving him from the injury report, and it's unclear how much the personal issues he's facing have factored into his decline.

Sun Mar 18 201209:41Toney Douglas out again for Knicks
Toney Douglas missed his third consecutive game on Saturday for personal reasons.
It's hard to tell where the DNP-CDs ended and the personal absence began, as Douglas hasn't been in the rotation since early February.
