Temple received a DNP - Coach's Decisions Wednesday as the Wizards lost to the Thunder, his second DNP in three games.
Since the first month of the season, Temple has hardly seen any playing time. He's played just 14 combined minutes this month, and hasn't played double-digit minutes in a game since Dec. 18. Rasual Butler and Otto Porter Jr. are dominating the minutes off the bench at small forward and shooting guard, and Temple has basically been phased out of the rotations at this point.

Temple returned to a bench role, as Bradley Beal started at shooting guard against the Cavaliers. Temple played less than a minute in this game despite the one-sided score line.
Temple's minutes have steadily declined over the past three games with Beal back. He can now be dropped in anything but the deepest of leagues.

Temple scored 16 points (6-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt), with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in 43 minutes during Wednesday's overtime win against the Pacers.
Temple was asked to play big minutes in the win, and he stepped up in multiple ways. He's been a consistent source for threes, but the rebounds and assists were nice to add on top. Temple's fantasy value is on the rise, especially until Bradley Beal (wrist) returns.

Temple scored 17 points (5-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and added five rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block in 30 minutes against the Knicks Tuesday night.
Temple has taken over as shooting guard while Bradley Beal (wrist) is out. What was immediately apparent was Temple's ability to make threes, but through four games, some other positive trends are also emerging. He is shooting 49 percent on the season, and that becomes an even more impressive 56 percent if you ignore his shaky 2-8 performance on opening night. He is getting to the free throw line, where he is 9-11 over the last three games. And he has six steals so far, recording one or more in three of his four games. The sample size is still very small, but the early results are promising.

Temple scored a career-high 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT) with three steals in 38 minutes in the win over Milwaukee on Saturday.
Temple is getting plenty of run with Bradley Beal (wrist) out. He has hit two 3-pointers in each game, but won't provide much fantasy help beyond occasional threes and points.
Wed Oct 29 201418:58Temple will start at shooting guard Wednesday
Temple will start at shooting guard Wednesday, Turner Sports' Ethan J. Skolnick reports.
With Bradley Beal (hand) out and Glen Rice banged up, Temple will get the start, but he's still a low-end fantasy option.

Temple played 42 minutes on Monday, scoring 13 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3P, 5-6 FT) with five assists and three rebounds.
With Bradley Beal (wrist) out to begin the season and Paul Pierce (knee) and Glen Rice (ankle) currently hobbled as well, Wizards coach Randy Wittman had little choice but to give Temple all the work he could handle. Both Pierce and Rice should be in the lineup when the regular season starts though, so don't rush out to grab Temple.
Fri Jul 18 201415:41Garrett Temple to re-sign with Wizards
Garrett Temple will re-sign with the Wizards.
It's a two-year deal for Temple at around the veteran minimum. The Wizards were relavtively healthy last season, so Temple only played 8.5 minutes per game. They may need him to start the season with Martell Webster's (back) injury, or they could give Glen Rice Jr. some run.

Tue Jul 8 201410:43Garrett Temple still waiting to sign
Garrett Temple is holding off on a free agency decision until LeBron James decides upon his free agency destination.
Temple was reportedly leaning towards the Heat last week, but CSN Washington is reporting that Temple doesn't currently have an offer from the Heat. The Heat were reportedly interested in the 28-year-old before he re-upped with the Wizards last summer and may make another run at him as a complementary piece to the Big 3 if they all re-sign. Temple averaged 1.8 points and 0.9 rebounds per game last season, so his fantasy prowess is quite limited no matter where he signs.

Wed Jul 2 201409:22Garrett Temple pursued by Bulls, Heat, Magic
The Wizards remain interested in re-signing free agent PG Garrett Temple, but he's also drawn interest from the Bulls, Heat and Magic.
The Wizards already have John Wall and Andre Miller under contract, so Temple would be knowingly accepting a bit role if he re-signed in D.C. -- he averaged 8.5 minutes in 75 appearances last season, and only 2.5 minutes per game after the All-Star break.

Mon Jun 30 201401:35Wizards hope to re-sign FA Garrett Temple
The Wizards are "likely" to bring back Garrett Temple, according to J. Michael of CSN Washingon.
The two sides have mutual interest and coach Randy Wittman reportedly values the veteran guard's "locker room presence, work ethic ... and acceptance of his role." Despite the Wizards' interest, it's worth questioning whether Temple will accept a minimal role behind John Wall and Andre Miller, who is likely to assume backup duties after Washington picked up his $4.6 million option.

Thu Nov 28 201300:48Garrett Temple now relevant w/o Beal
Garrett Temple played 22 minutes and had six points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals on 2-of-2 shooting off the bench Wednesday.
He's worth a close eye in deeper leagues, as his minutes will see a big boost as long as Bradley Beal is out. But make no mistake, Martell Webster and Trevor Ariza are the guys you want to own on Washington while Beal sits.

Tue Nov 26 201322:06Garrett Temple plays 26 minutes
Garrett Temple played 26 minutes off the bench for the Wizards on Tuesday and had two points, two boards, one assist and one steal.
He'll be in the rotation and should help the Wizards on perimeter defense. Temple isn't very deadly from outside and has trouble finishing around the basket, so he's only worth a look in very deep leagues.

Sun Sep 22 201313:56Garrett Temple worked on his jump shot
Wizards backup guard Garrett Temple has been working to improve his jump shot to help space the floor for John Wall.
Temple said in a recent interview that he spent much of the offseason working on his jumper, and that he was "ready to fight for his spot." Good for him, however with the crowded backcourt in D.C. featuring Eric Maynor, Bradley Beal, and Martell Webster, Temple isn't likely to make much of a fantasy impact.

Wed Jul 3 201312:36Wizards, Garrett Temple agree on 1-year deal
The Wizards and Garrett Temple have agreed on a one-year contract worth less than $1 million.
Temple went undrafted out of LSU and he's had eight 10-day contracts in his jittery NBA career. He earned his guaranteed money by stepping up for Washington last year, averaging 5.1 points, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals while knocking down 32.5 percent of his 3-pointers. He even started 36 games while John Wall was injured and should nicely fill the backup PG spot this season.

Mon Jul 1 201314:31Wizards could sign Garrett Temple this week
The Wizards could reach a deal with free agent guard Garrett Temple by the end of the week, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington.
It must feel great for Temple to find a team which is eager to retain him. Since entering the NBA in 2009-10, he's played for the Spurs, Kings, Rockets, Bobcats, Bucks and Wizards, in addition to three D-League teams and a team in Italy. The backup guard averaged 5.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 23 minutes per game last season, while starting 36 games due to team-wide injuries.

Sun Apr 7 201320:56Garrett Temple struggling as starting SG
Garrett Temple finished Sunday's road loss with seven points, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 24 minutes at SG.
Temple's fantasy outlook got a jolt when Bradley Beal was ruled out for the rest of the season, but he's done nothing in his past six games to warrant owning him (averaging 4.3 points and 0.9 assists).

Sun Mar 31 201321:20Garrett Temple's ride ends w/ Beal back
Garrett Temple plummeted in the rotation on Saturday, finishing scoreless with zero assists or steals in 13 minutes.
He started again at SG but quickly found himself on the bench while Bradley Beal lit up for 24 bench points. Temple has been absorbing tons of minutes with Washington's backcourt in shambles, but now that they're healthy he belongs on all waiver wires.

Thu Mar 28 201300:22Garrett Temple plays well for Wizards
Garrett Temple made another start and had 13 points, two assists, four steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting in 39 minutes on Wednesday.
As long as Bradley Beal (ankle), Trevor Ariza (flu) and Martell Webster (abdomen) are out for the Wiz, Temple is going to get heavy minutes. He's playing just well enough to be given in a look in most leagues, but his value could come crashing down if the Wizards ever get healthy.

Sun Mar 24 201301:36Garrett Temple plays team-high 43 minutes
Garrett Temple was the only Wizards starter to log more than 27 minutes on Saturday, as he played a whopping 43 minutes.
He finished with nine points on 4-of-10 FGs, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and five turnovers, a decidedly mixed performance. Feel free to use him as a short-term option, with the understanding that his minutes will dip as Trevor Ariza (flu), A.J. Price (groin) and Bradley Beal (ankle) filter back into the lineup.
