Sat Feb 8 201421:33Patty Mills scores season-high 32 points
Patty Mills put the Spurs on his back during Saturday's 104-100 win against the Bobcats, scoring a season-high 32 points with seven boards, four assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
He shot 10-of-13 from the field and played down the stretch in place of Tony Parker. Mills played well over his previous two games, averaging 19.5 points, 3.5 boards, 3.0 assists and 3.0 triples in just 21.5 minutes. His minutes have yet to really take off, but his volume scoring while he's out there can be useful for owners in deeper leagues or even some standard formats until he cools off.

Thu Feb 6 201422:47Patty Mills scores 16 points off bench
Patty Mills scored 16 points off the bench against the Nets on Thursday with one board, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes.
He is going to be a huge part of the bench and has usually been the better guard to own compared to Cory Joseph. Mills has some nice range and he can get his own shot, so he's a decent player to pick up in some 14- and 16-team leagues at least until Tony Parker is back.

Sun Feb 2 201401:10Patty Mills scores 15 off Spurs bench
Patty Mills had 15 points, one rebound, one assist, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting on Saturday.
Given all of the injuries the Spurs are dealing with Mills is getting some nice opportunity right now, mostly off the bench. He's averaging 11.0 points, 1.2 steals and 2.4 3-pointers over his last five games, and if those numbers will help your team, he might be worth a short-term look until his teammates get healthy.

Sun Jan 26 201415:47Patty Mills cools off vs. Heat on Sunday
Patty Mills lost some of his momentum against the Heat on Sunday, scoring just three points with two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer.
He had 13 triples in his previous three games and had nowhere to go but down today. Joseph just didn't have a role with the not really having a place to put him on defense, so he should have a better showing in the divisional matchup against the Rockets on Tuesday.

Fri Jan 24 201423:34Patty Mills scores 18 off the bench vs. ATL
Patty Mills was hot against the Hawks on Friday, shooting 6-of-10 from the field for 18 points with two boards, two assists, two steals and six 2-pointers in just 23 minutes.
The Spurs went with a lot of three-guard lineups tonight and Mills got hot with three 3-pointers in his first three minutes of action. His a capable scorer and should see close to 20 minutes per game, but fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting this type of production.

Sun Jan 19 201421:28Patty Mills drops 20 pts w/ Tony Parker out
Patty Mills scored 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting with seven assists, three steals and only one turnover in 27 minutes on Sunday, taking advantage of Tony Parker's absence with a shin injury.
Mills has proven that he can score, if nothing else, but Parker's impending return means that he belongs on the waiver wire in standard leagues.

Fri Dec 20 201301:50Patty Mills drops 20 on Warriors in win
Patty Mills scored 20 points in the first start this season, adding five boards, two assists, three steals and two 3-pointers on 8-of-17 shooting.
He's been relatively effective in his 16.4 minutes per game with the Spurs this year, shooting 47.1 percent from the field and not turning the ball over much. Mills looks like he'll be able to put up usable production in deep leagues while Tony Parker is out based on his last two games yielding averages of 16.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0 triples. The Spurs take on the Thunder on Saturday and Parker should be considered questionable. Cory Joseph played just 14 minutes and scored five points, making it clear he's behind Mills for now.

Wed Dec 18 201311:29Patty Mills playing through sore right ankle
Spurs PG Patty Mills was bothered by a sore right ankle during Monday's game.
He hurt himself on Saturday but doesn't plan to miss any games. "I got a steal and just went up for a shot, and it sort of rolled," he said. "It's a little sore but nothing I can't play through." Mills has a chance to step up with Tony Parker (shin) out of the lineup for two games, but Gregg Popovich is just as likely to split minutes between Mills and Cory Joseph, while giving more ball-handling duties to Manu Ginobili and Marco Belinelli.

Sun Nov 10 201314:49Patty Mills gets some garbage time
Patty Mills scored 15 points in Sunday's easy win over the Knicks to go with one board and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes.
This was a garbage-time special, so fantasy owners can ignore this blip on the radar. Manu Ginobili scored nine points with five boards, five assists and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Patty Mills came off the bench to hit 4-of-4 shots, 3-of-3 3-pointers and his only free throw attempt, finishing with 12 points and one assist in just 17 minutes.
If Tony Parker goes down at some point this season, Mills is the guy you'll want to pick up.

Tue Oct 22 201323:19Patty Mills scores 22 with full stat line
Patty Mills lit it up in Tuesday's preseason win over the Magic, finishing with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, five steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers.
Wow. Mills has been impressing Gregg Popovich thus far and he impressed the fantasy universe with tonight's dynamic line. He's going to be a part of the rotation but the only time he'll really be able to be relied upon are on nights when Tony Parker is in street clothes. And tonight was one of those nights, as Parker was out resting.

Sat Oct 12 201312:33Patty Mills healthy, slimmed down for Spurs
Patty Mills lost weight this summer and has fully recovered from foot surgery, and his play has impressed Gregg Popovich.
Mills is under 6'0" and he's not a natural playmaker, averaging just 1.1 assists and 0.7 turnovers last year. He is a solid scorer who knocked down 40.0 percent of his 3-pointers last year, however, and he should surface (at least occasionally) as part of the Spurs' competitive backcourt rotation.

Tue Jul 23 201309:59Patty Mills healthy, OK to play for Australia
Patty Mills has recovered from the foot abscess he suffered in June, and he'll be available to play for the Australian national team this summer.
Mills picked up his $1.1 million option to return with the Spurs next season, likely passing up more money to stay with a championship contender. He's an unlikely source of fantasy value, however, at least while Tony Parker is healthy.

Mon Jun 24 201315:45Patty Mills opts in for 2013-14 with Spurs
Patty Mills has decided to remain with the Spurs next season, earning $1.1 million in the final year of his contract.
The lure of playing for a championship probably weighed in the Spurs' favor, and Mills gives them affordable insurance at PG in case Tony Parker or Cory Joseph get hurt. He's not relevant for fantasy purposes, however, as he played nothing but mop-up duty during the playoffs, and averaged 11 minutes per game in sporadic appearances last season.

Sun Jun 16 201317:28Patty Mills out for Finals after foot surgery
Patty Mills will miss the rest of the Finals after surgery to remove an abscess in his right foot.
Mills has barely played in the postseason, though he made some cameos during garbage time in Games 2 & 3 vs. the Heat. With Mills out and Tony Parker playing on a slightly strained hamstring, a few more responsibilities shift to guards Gary Neal and Cory Joseph.

Sat Mar 2 201301:33Mills scores 12 points off the bench
Patrick Mills scored 12 points off the bench in Friday's blowout win, hitting 5-of-7 shots (including two threes) with three rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes.
Mills has been playing behind Nando De Colo (zero points, three assists, 12 minutes) in previous absences by Tony Parker (ankle), who will be out "awhile" according to Pop. On the other hand, we've seen some explosive outings from Mills in the past and he'll be a guy to watch when the Spurs play the Pistons on Sunday. Gary Neal (calf) did not play tonight, further confusing the issue of who Parker's beneficiary will be.

Sun Feb 24 201323:02Patty Mills puts up 16 points off the bench
Patty Mills scored 16 points with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes against the Suns on Sunday.
He scored 12 points in the month of February before this game and was given a bigger opportunity with Tony Parker (triceps) and Gary Neal (calf) out of the lineup. There's no reason to pick him up since either Parker or Neal should be back against the Suns on Sunday.

Wed Dec 19 201200:36Patty Mills hits five treys for 15 points
Patty Mills hit 5-of-8 shots (all 3-pointers) for 15 points in just 17 minutes off the Spurs' bench on Tuesday.
Gary Neal and Danny Green were terrible tonight, and Mills took advantage in limited minutes. He'll be worth a look if Tony Parker goes down at some point, but we'd recommend leaving Mills on waivers for now.

Sat Dec 8 201221:39Mills comes up big in garbage time
Patty Mills made the most of garbage time on Saturday with 13 points, one assist and three 3-pointers in 16 minutes against the Bobcats.
This was his second game in a row with solid production since the Spurs beat up on the Rockets yesterday. He has minimal fantasy value while Tony Parker is active.

Sat Dec 8 201207:31Mills plays on ankle injury
Patty Mills (ankle) scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes on Friday.
Mills is backing up the point while Gary Neal fills in at shooting guard, and he will have no real fantasy value without an injury to Tony Parker. We'll let you know if his ankle continues to be a problem down the road.
