Tue Jan 1 201321:00Jordan Crawford quiet in return from injury
Jordan Crawford returned from his sprained ankle on Tuesday but had just nine points, four assists and a 3-pointer in 24 minutes.
He'll be better than this on most nights, so don't let the bad game scare you away from owning him.

Tue Jan 1 201317:10Jordan Crawford (ankle) is active on Tuesday
Jordan Crawford (ankle) will play in Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.
Crawford ends up missing just one game with his garden-variety sprain. He'll likely come off the bench behind Brad Beal and Shelvin Mack, but there's still plenty of value here. In his last five games as a reserve, Crawford is averaging 20.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds.

Tue Jan 1 201310:24Jordan Crawford (ankle) could return Tuesday
Jordan Crawford (ankle) practiced on Monday and could return for Tuesday's home game vs. the Mavs.
"He practiced, said he was feeling better," said Randy Witman. "It's been lingering. Three weeks ago, he turned it ... and it's been one of those, it's just never gone away." There's a good chance that he'll return on Tuesday but we'll keep a close eye on this ongoing injury.

Sat Dec 29 201219:24Jordan Crawford out Saturday w/ sore ankle
Jordan Crawford will not play vs. the Bulls on Saturday due to a sore left ankle.
This news comes out of nowhere and will probably burn more than a few owners, as he was coming off a nice game with 27 points, six rebounds and six assists. He'll have two days of rest before Tuesday's game in Dallas, and Cartier Martin and Martell Webster will pick up the most slack in his absence.

Fri Dec 28 201222:47Crawford still going strong with 27-6-6 line
Jordan Crawford scored 27 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 11-of-16 shots (including three treys) with six rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 34 minutes.
It's great news that Crawford went right back to putting up big numbers with Shelvin Mack and Garrett Temple getting the point guard minutes, and owners should hold tight and keep him in all active lineups.

Wed Dec 26 201222:53Jordan Crawford scores 17 off bench
Jordan Crawford was benched for being late to shootaround on Wednesday and played just a handful of minutes in the first half, but came to life after the break to finish with 17 points and zero 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in 27 minutes.
Shelvin Mack started at point guard and played pretty well, but it's hard to imagine Crawford's role taking much of a hit, even if he comes off the bench as the sixth man. In other words, hang onto him until further notice.

Wed Dec 26 201217:52Jordan Crawford violates rule, won't start
Jordan Crawford will not start at PG on Wednesday after violating an undisclosed team rule.
Crawford will come off the bench behind recently signed Shelvin Mack. It remains to be seen how this change will impact Crawford's minutes or if the change is permanent. Regardless of whether he's a starter, Crawford has given the Wizards and fantasy owners very solid production in the month of December. Feel free to keep using him as you have been, but keep an eye on Randy Wittman's rotations.

Fri Dec 21 201223:59Jordan Crawford goes for 20-7-7 vs. DET
Jordan Crawford scored 20 points on 10-of-23 shooting (no threes) with seven rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in the Wizards' massive loss to the Pistons on Friday.
Crawford is going to get all he can eat in any game he plays in until John Wall returns. The efficiency will be an issue, but the counting stats will look a lot like this on many nights.

Wed Dec 19 201221:52Jordan Crawford scores 19 in loss
Jordan Crawford hit 7-of-16 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals and seven turnovers in Wednesday's loss to the Magic.
It wasn't a triple-double like he had on Tuesday and the seven TOs are annoying, but even with six TOs on Saturday and seven tonight, he's averaging just 2.4 of them in December, along with 18 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.4 3-pointers, making him a very undervalued fantasy player right now.

Tue Dec 18 201222:42Jordan Crawford logs 2nd career triple-double
Jordan Crawford caught fire against the Hawks and finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for his second career triple-double on Tuesday.
He hit 10-of-22 shots and five 3-pointers on the night, although the Wizards fell at home to the Hawks in overtime. With news that John Wall may or may not play this season, we maintain that Crawford, who is owned in just 61 percent of Yahoo! leagues, should be owned in all leagues until further notice. And that shouldn't be a problem after tonight's monster line.

Sat Dec 15 201222:08Jordan Crawford awful in loss to Miami
Once again handling primary PG duties for the Wizards, Jordan Crawford scored just five points on 2-of-12 shooting, with six assists and six turnovers.
Miami's athletic and aggressive defense was too much for the Wizards, who have the least efficient offense in the NBA and sputtered whenever the Heat's first unit was on the court. Crawford now has 21 assists vs. 15 turnovers in the past five games, and John Wall can't get back soon enough.

Wed Dec 12 201200:05Jordan Crawford scores 26 as Wiz win on road
Jordan Crawford had 26 points, six rebounds, four assists, a block and two 3-pointers on 9-of-24 shooting as the 3-15 Wizards beat the Hornets in New Orleans for their first road win over the season.
Crawford has been playing like this for a couple weeks now, and with John Wall and A.J. Price both out indefinitely, he is not only a must-own player at this point, but also a must-start. Especially given the fact he hasn't committed more than two turnovers in a single game in seven straight, and has totaled just eight of them over that stretch.

Sat Dec 8 201222:10Jordan Crawford plays well w/ PG duties
Jordan Crawford went off for at 22 points, four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one turnover in Saturday's tough loss to the Warriors.
Crawford assumed substantial PG duties once A.J. Price (hand) went to the locker room, and he made the most of his featured role. His assist-to-turnover ratio doesn't inspire much confidence (3.7 turnovers vs. 2.1 turnovers), but he was efficient tonight and owners can live with some TOs if they accompany a robust line.

Sat Dec 8 201203:04Jordan Crawford scores 14 in 27 minutes
Jordan Crawford played 27 minutes off the bench on Friday and had 14 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals against the Hawks.
Crawford has become somewhat consistent over his last five games with averages of 18.2 points, 3.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.0 triples in 27.0 minutes. He will have his bad days, but he's worth an add in standard leagues.

Tue Dec 4 201221:30Jordan Crawford's 22 help Wiz beat Heat
Jordan Crawford had 22 points, three rebounds, six assists, a steal and three 3-pointers on 7-of-16 shooting as the one-win Wizards shocked the Heat, who got a triple-double from LeBron James, 105-101 on Tuesday.
Trevor Ariza left this game with a calf injury and could easily miss games, if not weeks, and Crawford should be a primary beneficiary from his loss. The Wizards only other win of the season came against the Blazers and they might have gotten good luck from Redskins QB Robert Griffin III, who was sitting courtside. If Crawford is available in your league, pick him up.

Sat Dec 1 201200:05Crawford scores 17 points on Friday
Jordan Crawford scored 17 points on Friday against the Knicks, hitting 7-of-17 shots (no threes) with one rebound and four assists in 29 minutes.
Crawford is scoring for the Wizards, but his peripheral stats make him difficult to own in standard formats unless you're punting in his deficient areas.

Wed Nov 28 201222:10Jordan Crawford scores 19 off Wiz bench
Jordan Crawford came off the bench for 19 points and a 3-pointer on 7-of-14 shooting in 27 minutes as the Wizards finally got a win by taking out the Blazers on Wednesday.
He didn't post a great fantasy line, but has been seeing enough minutes off the bench to be worth owning in many leagues, at least while his shot is falling.

Tue Nov 27 201202:00Crawford scores 19 points off the bench
Jordan Crawford scored 19 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 9-of-16 shots (including a three) with four rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes.
Crawford is barely holding onto 14-team value in 8-cat formats on the season, as his overall production isn't enough to combat his 40 percent field goal shooting. In 9-cat leagues, he's a 20-team guy right now.

Sat Nov 24 201223:26Jordan Crawford scores nine in 35 minutes
Jordan Crawford played 35 minutes on Saturday in the 108-106 double-overtime loss to the Bobcats and had nine points, four rebounds, nine assists and one steal.
He took over some of the point guard duties with A.J. Price (two points) logging just 20 minutes and Shaun Livingston (eight points) playing 22 minutes. Crawford might be the answer for Washington at point guard and has value in some standard formats.

Mon Nov 19 201218:09Jordan Crawford gets another start Monday
Jordan Crawford will get another start for the Wizards on Monday.
No surprise here, as Crawford scored 20 points with eight assists in his first start of the season on Saturday. Also getting another start for the Wizards is Jan Vesely, who had just five points with five rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes as a starter on Saturday.
