Sat Jan 21 201223:51Andre Miller has 14 & 12 in start for Nuggets
Andre Miller moved into the Nuggets' starting five in place of Aaron Afflalo (groin) on Saturday and was typically effective -- 14 points, four rebounds, 12 assists and two steals in 49 minutes.
Miller considers himself a starter and is playing well enough to justify the statement, but when the Nuggets are healthy he's locked into a backup role behind Ty Lawson. Just be thankful that he's still providing reliable fantasy value, despite his paltry 3-point totals (though he made one on Saturday).

Fri Jan 20 201222:26Miller goes without a field goal against WAS
Andre Miller, following a 28-point, eight-rebound, and 10-assist explosion, went hitless from the field on four shot attempts on his way to zero points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal on Friday.
It's not surprising to see him simmer down after playing a season-high 39 minutes on Wednesday, and he should still be owned as a low-end producer in most 12-team formats. Al Harrington scored 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting off the bench, as well, further hindering Miller's effort tonight.

Wed Jan 18 201222:32Andre Miller scores season-high 28 in win
Andre Miller came off the bench to hit 12-of-20 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 28 points to go along with eight rebounds, 10 assists and two steals as the Nuggets beat the Sixers in OT Wednesday.
Miller has had some big games this season and took over this game down the stretch. However, he's also coming off the bench and had scored a total of just 40 points over his last six games. He's worth a look in most leagues, as he came in averaging nine points, six assists and a steal per game, but tonight was a bit of a fluke. He was helped by the fact Danilo Gallinari attempted just three shots in 33 minutes.

Sun Jan 15 201222:37Andre Miller very quiet in loss to Jazz
Andre Miller had a quiet night vs. the Jazz, scoring five points with two assists in 20 minutes of action.
Miller never really got into the flow of the game and the loss of sharp-shooting Rudy Fernandez (Achilles) isn't ever going to help his assist total. He's averaging 29 minutes in his backup role, and still does enough to warrant a spot on average fantasy rosters.

Thu Jan 12 201207:50Andre Miller not happy with backup role
Andre Miller said that he will "probably not" return to the Nuggets.
At this point in my career, I don't see myself as a backup," he said. Miller noted how Ty Lawson has had Chauncey Billups to learn from and is having a tough time coping with a backup role. Miller remains productive by averaging 10 points, 6.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 29 minutes per game.

Thu Jan 12 201201:32Andre Miller double-doubles in start for Ty
Andre Miller started at point guard on Wednesday and had 12 points, 12 assists and two steals in a win over the Nets.
Ty Lawson was out with a foot injury so Miller got the start. He was cooling off before tonight's performance, but maybe it will get him going. Lawon's not expected to miss much time with the injury, meaning Miller will go back to being a borderline fantasy starter off the Nuggets bench.

Tue Jan 10 201203:12Andre Miller held without a point on Monday
Andre Miller went hitless on five shot attempts on Monday against the Hornets, scoring no points with two rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes.
Miller has averaged 9.8 points, 3.6 boards, 5.9 assists, and 1.3 steals while providing eighth round value, so owners shouldn't overreact here, especially after Ty Lawson suffered a foot injury in Monday's game. Lawson finished the game out but has been known to push injuries, so there's an outside shot Miller could be running with the 'ones' at some point.

Sat Jan 7 201223:21Ty Lawson posts 20 pts, 10 ast in tough loss
Ty Lawson posted 20 points (9-of-18 shooting), three rebounds and 10 assists on Saturday, without a single turnover in 37 minutes.
Lawson didn't make any 3-pointers but he did contribute a rare block, and continues to justify our pre-season enthusiasm about his fantasy value. Backup Andre Miller was also solid tonight, going for eight points, six rebounds and six assists in 26 minutes.

Tue Jan 3 201202:31Andre Miller still getting minutes for DEN
Andre Miller played 30 minutes for a Nuggets squad playing their third game in as many days on Monday, and finished with six points on 3-of-12 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block.
Miller continues to get run and in a condensed schedule it's entirely possible that he keeps it up to some degree, so make sure he's owned for his low-end production in 12-team leagues. The Nuggets could easily be dressing him up for the trade deadline, too.

Fri Dec 30 201102:41Andre Miller still kicking for the Nuggets
Andre Miller scored 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, eight assists, and a steal in 35 minutes off the bench against his old Blazers squad on Thursday.
Not only is Miller producing at a high level but he figures to hold at least some of that value going forward. We like the idea of moving him while the going is good, but at least until Miller's name gets kicked around at the trade deadline he should be in line for a 25-minute role. He likely saw extra time tonight so he could kick around his old team.

Thu Dec 29 201100:26Andre Miller hands out 12 dimes off bench
Andre Miller had seven points and 12 assists in 28 minutes off the Nuggets bench on Wednesday.
He also had two steals and is averaging 15 points and 8.5 assists off the bench in two games. He may have gotten some extra run tonight due to the lopsided score, but he's a great guy to have on your roster right now. Ty Lawson started and had 15 points, but just two assists in 25 minutes.

Tue Dec 27 201104:30Miller gets busy in the Nuggets' blowout win
Andre Miller scored 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting (2-of-2 from deep) with five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday.
This is the quintessential sell high line for Miller, as many wondered if he could sustain a timeshare with Ty Lawson and this output may convince folks that he can hold value. In reality, Miller will produce much less and play about 20-24 minutes per game when everybody is healthy.

Fri Dec 23 201102:03Andre Miller runs shop in last preseason game
Andre Miller scored nine points on 3-of-10 shooting with seven rebounds, 10 assists, and a steal in Thursday's preseason finale.
There's no update yet on Ty Lawson's ankle and it's eerily quiet out of Denver, but the one thing we do know is that Miller will have some serious value if anything were to ever happen with Lawson. Drafting Miller as a last-round flier pick in the hopes that Lawson is hurt -- and Denver is balking on the details -- could make some sense.

Wed Dec 21 201101:40Miller, Lawson start and play well for Denver
Andre Miller and Ty Lawson both started for the Nuggets on Tuesday, and Miller tallied eight points, six boards, 12 assists, four steals and a block in 29 minutes.
Lawson was also impressive with 21 points, seven boards, two assists, three steals and two 3-pointers, while Arron Afflalo sat out after signing his contract yesterday. Afflalo should start, and both he and Lawson are far more attractive fantasy options than Miller. That said, Miller will be worth keeping a close eye on until we see how this all shakes out in the regular season.

Mon Dec 19 201115:59Miller, Lawson both starting Monday
Andre Miller and Ty Lawson will start together in the backcourt for Tuesday's exhibition game.
They'll be joined by Danilo Gallinari, Nene and Timofey Mozgov, as the team continues to negotiate with SG Arron Afflalo. Lawson is clearly the starter, and George Karl just wants to see what the two can do together on the court at the same time. If the experiment goes well, it could help Miller's playing time look better this season. It's also starting to look like Timofey Mozgov will start at C on opening night, giving him some sleeper value.

Fri Jun 24 201111:04Andre Miller comfortable backing up Ty Lawson
Nuggets officials have indicated that Andre Miller will accept a role backing up Ty Lawson.
Raymond Felton was not as keen on being a backup, and this deal seems mutually beneficial. In addition to bringing veteran leadership and guidance for Lawson, Miller is reunited with coach George Karl, who has long been one of his most sincere advocates.

Thu Jun 23 201123:49PG Andre Miller traded to the Nuggets
Andre Miller was traded to the Nuggets in exchange for Raymond Felton during the 2011 NBA Draft, along with No. 26 pick Jordan Hamilton.
The Nuggets will reportedly keep Miller, too, as once again Ty Lawson will have a thorn in his side to start the year, at least for now. Miller is due $7.8 million in a team option, which is an exorbitant amount to pay for a backup PG, or even one that plays in a timeshare. Don't be surprised if Denver changes their tune or restructures his contract, but for now Lawson's outlook has taken a decent hit.

Thu Jun 23 201116:06Blazers and Nuggets talking Felton for Miller
The Nuggets and Blazers have discussed a deal that would send Raymond Felton and the No. 22 pick for Andre Miller and the No. 21 pick, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.
Aldridge says that the deal is dormant for now as the Blazers declined to add more assets. Still, linking two of the most available veterans in the league makes sense. We wouldn't be surprised to see either Miller or Felton change teams by the time tonight is done.

Thu Jun 23 201112:31Report: Miller for Nelson swap on the table
The Blazers and Magic are discussing a deal that would send Andre Miller and the No. 21 pick to Orlando for Jameer Nelson, according to DraftExpress.
The source here is very shaky, so we're not putting a lot of stock in this rumor. As a non-shooter, Miller doesn't appear to fit in Orlando's four-around-one offensive scheme. He's also 35 and has a $7.8 million team option on his contract for next season. A move like this wouldn't be what Dwight Howard is looking for.

Fri Jun 3 201110:29Andre Miller mentioned in trade rumors
Andre Miller's name has surfaced in trade rumors, as the Blazers decide whether to extend a $7.8 million team option for the veteran PG.
Specifically, the Portland Tribune writes that Miller could be packaged with a draft pick to move into the lottery. Whether or not anything comes of that scenario, it's clear that Portland and Miller are likely to part ways this summer.
