Mon Oct 15 201215:48Andre Miller gets day of rest Monday
Andre Miller won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Warriors in order to get a day of rest.
Miller is one of the league's most experienced point guards and there's no reason run him too hard before the season starts. He might be worth a late flier in deeper leagues, simply because he'll still get assists while backing up Ty Lawson.

Wed Sep 12 201208:46Nuggets want Andre Miller to look for offense
The Nuggets want Andre Miller to "shoot it" when he's open on the offensive end.
Known primarily as a distributor and facilitator, Miller "embraced" the 3-point shot last season. We wouldn't quite justify it to that extent as he still managed to shoot just 21.7 percent from deep, but Miller was also adjusting to a bench role last year. He's a career 20.5 percent shooter from downtown and will never be a threat from distance, but it does bump his fantasy appeal slightly that the team wants him to search for his own offensive opportunities.

Mon Jul 16 201212:22Andre Miller contract details emerge
Andre Miller's new contract with the Nuggets calls for only two fully guaranteed seasons.
Miller's deal will pay him $5 million per season in each of the first two years, but only $2 million of the $4.625 million in year three is guaranteed. Should Denver be looking to trade him at that point, it should help to open up the market slightly. For now, he'll return to the Nuggets to serve as Ty Lawson's backup but should play between 27-30 minutes like he did during the 2011-12 campaign.

Thu Jul 12 201220:22Report: Andre Miller deal really for $14.6M
Matt Steinmetz of CSN Bay Area reported Thursday that Andre Miller's deal was really for three years and $14.6 million, and not three years for $9 million.
It's interesting how he would get this report before anybody else in Denver, but he's usually on the money when it comes to reporting the facts. We'll update the blurb if it turns out the original report was correct.

Sun Jul 1 201222:30Nuggets re-sign Andre Miller to 3-year deal
The Nuggets agreed in principle to a three-year deal with Andre Miller on Sunday.
Like all of these signings, they can't be executed until the league's moratorium on signing free agents is lifted on July 11. We'll pass along the financial details as they're made available, but this is just the most recent vote of confidence in Miller by the Nuggets. He'll continue to back up both guard slots, and has a great chance of duplicating his output from last season (9.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.4 boards, 1.0 steals). This does rain on Ty Lawson's party a bit, but he'll make-do as he did last season.

Tue Jun 19 201211:25Andre Miller, Nuggets talking about return
Unrestricted free agent Andre Miller has had "positive discussions" with GM Masai Ujiri about returning to Denver.
The Denver Post believes that if Miller returns, he'll return to a sizable role. The veteran is "one of coach George Kar's favorite players." Miller has previously voiced that he is open to staying in Denver, but also said that if he's going to be a reserve, he wants to do so on a championship-caliber team. It's nowhere near a lock that he re-signs with the Nuggets.

Wed Jun 6 201211:46Report: Miami Heat to pursue Andre Miller
The Miami Heat plan to pursue unrestricted free agent Andre Miller in the offseason.
Miller would have to be willing to take a pay cut, but the scenario makes some sense. Miller has previously expressed that he wants to be on a championship-caliber team, and Miami certainly fits that description. The veteran is expected to draw interest from a number of teams looking for an upgrade at the point guard position.

Fri May 18 201210:00Nuggets hoping to bring back Andre Miller
Masai Ujiri reiterated that the Nuggets hope to re-sign Andre Miller.
"Do we want Andre back? Yes," Ujiri said. "Collectively, the organization, ownerships, Coach Karl, teammates, we want Andre back. He was great for the team." Miller averaged 9.7 points, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 27 minutes per game during the regular season, but Denver won't be without competition for his services.

Thu May 17 201212:46Andre Miller hoping to return to Denver?
Andre Miller "expressed interest" to Masai Ujiri about returning to the Nuggets next season.
We're taking this with a gigantic grain of salt. Miller was probably just being nice on his way out, because the veteran point guard said earlier in the week that he'd like to be a starter or a backup for a championship caliber team. It wouldn't be a surprise whatsoever to see him put on a different jersey next season.

Sun May 13 201210:05Andre Miller wants to be a starting PG
Andre Miller will be an unrestricted free agent this summer -- he's open to returning with the Nuggets, but also sees himself as a starter.
"I want to be on a team that's going to compete for a championship, and not use youth as a crutch or inexperience as a crutch," Miller said. "This team does have guys that can compete and can get out of the first round. It's just whether I can swallow my pride and deal with being a backup point guard." With Ty Lawson installed as the PG of the present/future in Denver, Miller could be headed out of town.

Sun Apr 29 201218:41Andre Miller has nice line in Game 1 loss
Andre Miller had 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Lakers.
The Nuggets know that they have to push the tempo in order to compete with the massive size advantage the Lakers have. So Miller is going to see plenty of burn in two-point guard sets with Ty Lawson. Al Harrington saw just 21 minutes off the bench, scoring 10 points.

Sat Apr 21 201219:58Andre Miller cools off in Saturday's victory
Andre Miller cooled off in Saturday's victory, scoring eight points with just two assists vs. five turnovers.
Old man 'Dre was averaging 9.5 assists in the past six games, and this is nothing to be concerned about from one of the league's steadiest veterans.

Tue Apr 17 201203:19Miller hands out 15 assists against Houston
Andre Miller handed out a season-high 15 assists in Monday's win over the Rockets, and also chipped in with four points on 2-of-8 shooting, two boards, and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench.
Miller has handed out 10 or more assists in his last two games and had a 20-point outing in the game before that, but scored six, zero, six, and four points in the games surrounding the 20-point effort. He has been a borderline value any way you slice it, but the lack of scoring has put a damper on his march of dimes.

Tue Apr 10 201204:20Miller goes for six and 12 against the GSWs
Andre Miller scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting with three rebounds, 12 assists, and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Miller is providing solid low-end value right now and with Al Harrington's (knee) immediate future in question he'll have a little bit more breathing room, too.

Sat Apr 7 201205:07Andre Miller posts 15-7-7 against the Suns
Andre Miller scored 15 points on 4-of-12 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in the Nuggets' win on Friday.
Miller is producing enough to be owned and started in the Nuggets' upcoming four-game week, though he does carry some risk coming off the bench. Al Harrington added 23 points on 8-of-19 shooting (including four threes) with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal, and unlike Miller he has yet to disappear coming off the bench all season.

Andre Miller was ejected from Wednesday night's game early in the fourth quarter after being called for a flagrant-two foul.
Miller was called for the foul after knocking Carl Landry to the floor with his shoulder. He had six points, five assists and two rebounds in 20 minutes before departing.

Tue Mar 27 201203:51Miller double-doubles off the bench
Andre Miller scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting with four rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench on Monday.
As a metaphor for the past few years, Miller just refuses to go away late in the season and has been helped by injuries to Danilo Gallinari and Rudy Fernandez. He's a must-own player in 12-team leagues if you need a point guard and deserves consideration as a pickup, anyway.

Sat Mar 24 201205:05Miller scores 14 points with six assists
Andre Miller scored 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday.
We didn't hear about his shoulder injury at all tonight, and with Danilo Gallinari and Rudy Fernandez suddenly out of the picture Miller is still worth a long look in 12-team formats.

Thu Mar 22 201203:09Andre Miller plays despite shoulder injury
Andre Miller ignored doctors' orders and played through his shoulder injury to finish with zero points, six rebounds and seven assists on 0-of-2 shooting on Wednesday.
If he was locked in your weekly lineup, you have to be pleased that Miller is a stud and decided to gut it out, even though he obviously couldn't shoot tonight. We expect him to continue to play through the injury, but shooting and using his right arm could be a problem for a week or so.

Wed Mar 21 201220:04Andre Miller says he's playing Wednesday
Andre Miller, who earlier said he'd listen to doctors and sit out Wednesday's game after separating his shoulder on Tuesday, now says he will play tonight.
Miller has missed three games in his entire career due to injury and hinted all along that he was ready to go tonight, although it sounded like he would be held out. If you've got him on your bench and have an open roster spot, you might as well throw him out there.
