Sat Mar 17 2012 | 12:39 | Manny Harris re-signs w/ Cavs for ROS |
The Cavaliers have signed Manny Harris for the rest of the season, as expected. |
Daniel Gibson is slated to pick up some PG minutes behind Kyrie Irving, but the Cavs will probably give Harris some burn. At the very least, he gives them affordable backcourt depth. |

Mon Mar 12 2012 | 09:37 | Manny Harris done with Cavs |
The Cavs did not re-sign Manny Harris after his second 10-day contract expired Sunday. |
If the Cavs wanted to keep Harris, they would have had to guarantee his contract for the rest of the season. That wasn't happening as they want roster flexibility. Harris is now an unrestricted free agent. |

Fri Mar 2 2012 | 23:50 | Manny Harris plays well, could be promoted |
Manny Harris played well in limited action on Friday, scoring nine points in 18 minutes. |
Coach Byron Scott was very upset with his team's effort after the game, and suggested that lineup changes could be on the way. Harris was recently signed to his second 10-day contract in Cleveland, and he could be a candidate for more playing time. Keep an eye on him for now. |

The Cavaliers will sign Manny Harris to another 10-day contract. |

Tue Feb 21 2012 | 10:26 | Manny Harris signed by Cleveland Cavaliers |
Manny Harris has reportedly been signed by the Cavaliers to a 10-day contract. |
Harris was absolutely torching through the D-League and it's about time he earned his way back to the NBA. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 15 games as a starter for Cleveland last season. |

Manny Harris is averaging 21.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 17 games for the D-League's Canton Charge. |
Harris has been named the D-League's Performer of the Week two times already this season. Remember that Harris started 15 games for the Cavs a year ago, averaging 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in that role. He has a place in the NBA again. |

Wed Dec 28 2011 | 16:12 | Manny Harris signs with D-League team |
Manny Harris has signed with the Canton Charge of the D-League. |
Harris' chance to make the Cavs was sabotaged by a burn on his right foot, but he should be able to get back to the NBA sooner rather than later. Harris averaged just 5.9 points for Cleveland last season, but had a memorable run as a starter that included three 20-plus point games in January. |

Thu Dec 22 2011 | 17:12 | Cavs release Manny Harris |
In a bit of a surprise, the Cavaliers waived Manny Harris on Friday. |
Harris started 15 games for the Cavs last season, averaging 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Harris has missed all of training camp with a burn on his right foot suffered during the lockout and is expected to sidelined another week or two. The Cavs also waived Kenny Hayes, meaning Mychel Thompson, who averaged 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds as a senior last season at Pepperdine, has claimed the last spot on the Cavs' bench. |

Sun Dec 18 2011 | 19:03 | Manny Harris suffers injury in Nike facility? |
Manny Harris could make the Cavaliers' roster without participating in training camp -- he's expected to miss another two weeks due to "freezer burn" he suffered on his foot in a Nike-sponsored "cooling chamber." |
We couldn't possibly make this up. Harris was sitting in a "chamber of super-cooled nitrogen gas for several minutes ... It is the new-age version of the ice bath." He doesn't plan to sue Nike despite obviously suffering some serious ill effects. If he does make the roster, he's unlikely to play more than 15 minutes per game, at most. |

Wed Dec 14 2011 | 17:47 | Byron hoping Manny Harris can beat timetable |
Byron Scott is hopeful that Manny Harris (foot burn) can return to practice next week. |
This is notable because an earlier report indicated Harris would be out two weeks, but Scott is hopeful that he can beat that timetable. Also of note: Harris' injury is now being described as a burn after previously being described as an ulcer. Harris' contract isn't guaranteed, so he needs to get back on the court as quickly as possible in an effort to win a spot on the team. |

Wed Dec 14 2011 | 14:36 | Manny Harris out two weeks with foot injury |
Manny Harris is expected to miss two weeks due to a foot ulcer. |
We're not familiar with the notion of a foot ulcer, but it sounds unpleasant. Harris had his moments last season, but is part of a crowded SG/SF mix in Cleveland and should only be rostered in deeper leagues to begin the season. |

Manny Harris is dealing with a foot injury that's keeping him out of Cavs practice. |

Mon Apr 11 2011 | 09:28 | Harris receives praise from coach for defense |
Manny Harris received praise from coach Byron Scott on his solid defensive play through the course of the season. |
Harris impressed the Cavs coaching staff and surpassed Christian Eyenga in the rotation. He's still got a ways to go in developing as a player but he's likely to find a spot on a roster next season. |

Tue Mar 22 2011 | 00:51 | Harris and bench stay quiet in loss |
Manny Harris led the Cavs bench in minutes on Monday with 25 total, scoring eight points on 1-of-8 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block. |
Harris, Christian Eyenga (22 minutes, 12 points, two threes), Luke Harangody (21 minutes, two points, four boards), and starter Alonzo Gee (26 minutes, six points) all had lackluster nights, but look for one of them to break out as the Cavs continue to trend toward playing their bench. For now, they're all waiver wire fodder. |

Sun Mar 13 2011 | 15:56 | Manny Harris sees full allotment of minutes |
Manny Harris played for 27 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Thunder, scoring six points with two 3-pointers, two rebounds, two assists and a block. |
Much of this was garbage time so it's probably just a fluke. He needs to see starter minutes, but if he does he could be a good source of 3's, rebounds and points. |

Sat Feb 26 2011 | 02:40 | Harris plays four minutes after big game |
Manny Harris followed up his huge game Wednesday with a four-minute outing on Friday, with just two rebounds and a steal to show for it. |
And this comes without Baron Davis yet in the fold, so owners should simply keep Harris on their radar for the time-being. Should the Cavs go young, Harris could easily hold fantasy value. |
Wed Feb 23 2011 | 23:24 | Manny Harris goes for 21 & 9 in loss |
Manny Harris came off the bench for 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers on 9-of-16 shooting in Wednesday's loss. |
Harris has done this before, but had been struggling coming in. Keep an eye on him, but he is only worth starting in fantasy leagues if he becomes a starter at some point. Mo Williams (ankle) and Daniel Gibson (personal) were out tonight, which helped his cause. |
Sun Feb 20 2011 | 10:18 | Scott says Manny Harris can play |
Coach Byron Scott said that he is sure Manny Harris "can play in the league." |
Since the Cavs' backcourt got healthy, Harris has completely fallen out of the rotation. The rookie is a threat to be inactive on any given night going forward, barring trades or injuries to the roster. Scott's actions speak louder than words -- Harris projects as a deep reserve in the NBA. |

Wed Feb 16 2011 | 19:05 | Manny Harris out on Wednesday |
Manny Harris is healthy, but has been put on the inactive list for the Cavs. |
His value is shot, and would only return if the Cavaliers suffer another rash of guard injuries in the future. |
